System: Replicating The Heavens
Chapter 448: Ch 448: First Encounter With "Legendary"
Both Bloodtooth Crocodiles were dead, so there was no one to stop Alex.
Alex's figure flashed as he appeared beside Blood Mist Lotuses for the last time. This time, without a beast's interruption, Alex successfully picked all the Blood Mist Lotuses one by one.
It was also at this time that he suddenly noticed golden light flashing from the bottom of the lake; however, this golden light disappeared as soon as it appeared.
Moreover, Alex noticed that the golden light appeared from the eastern corner of the lake.
Alex wasted no time. He plunged into the lake and swam swiftly to the location where a golden flash had caught his eye. When he arrived, he found a small stretch of land, barely a meter wide, concealed by thick cattails and dense bushes.
He brushed the foliage aside, and what he saw left him momentarily stunned. He saw two Blood Mist Lotuses there, but unlike the ordinary ones he had picked up earlier, these had a unique appearance. The lower surfaces of their petals were shimmering with radiant gold, while the upper surfaces were dyed in vivid crimson.
[Name: Golden Blood Mist Lotus.
Rank: Legendary (Tier-9 Astral).
Details: The Golden Blood Mist Lotus is an extremely rare variant of the Blood Mist Lotus, possessing both the essence of blood and the brilliance of gold. Not only can it purify and thicken a cultivator's or beast's bloodline, but it can also awaken dormant bloodline powers, elevate low-grade bloodlines to higher tiers, and even mend flaws in impure or fragmented bloodlines. When refined into pills or consumed directly, it provides a permanent enhancement to vitality, longevity, and blood energy.]
Alex raised his brows in surprise, not expecting to find Legendary Treasures here. This was the first time he was looking at a treasure above True Rank.
Without hesitation, he picked them up and tried to replicate them.
[Replication Failed!]
Alex can only sigh, lamenting that his Soul Force is still not strong enough to replicate an Astral Rank Treasure.
Shaking his head, Alex left the lake and started moving in a random direction. Alex flew for more than ten days straight, crossing the valley, a huge mountain range, and a few villages and towns before finally discovering a small village ahead.
This village wasn't big; it probably only had a few dozen households. However, there was not a single sign of life in this village. All people living in this village had long since transformed into monsters by the Saint Sovereign before his death.
One point worth mentioning was that not a single monster or beast could be seen in this village.
It had been about two weeks since he entered this Domain World. This was the first time he had seen a village without monsters. Other villages had more or less monsters.
As Alex stepped into the village, he noticed that there was no trace of monster activity on the path covered with fallen leaves.
Alex didn't linger on the village road for too long. After spreading his divine sense, he sensed something that caused him to frown. He immediately came to a courtyard and pushed open the door.
Apart from some fallen leaves, Alex found that the courtyard basically didn't have much dust. It was as if time inside this Domain World was on pause before people from the outer world entered to look for the Saint Sovereign's Inheritance.
Alex then successively pushed open the gates of several houses, and they were all basically the same.
For today, he planned to rest well and explore the village and the surrounding land tomorrow to see if he could find anything.
The night passed quickly.
Waking up in the morning, Alex began to explore the village again. But he still found nothing.
Alex didn't plan to dwell on it for too long. He decided to leave here first. But before leaving, he completely released his divine sense, not only covering the entire village but also a few neighboring villages and a small part of a mountain forest.
He didn't find any monster, but he did discover something, which caused him to stop for a moment before rushing in that direction.
Soon, Alex entered the Mountain Forest and arrived in front of a cave. This cave appeared to be forcefully made on a huge stone, but in truth, it was actually an underground cave.
Alex stopped in front of the cave entrance and started observing it. Then he again released his Divine Sense, only to be interrupted by an invisible energy.
"Something inside the cave is blocking my divine sense. What could it be?"
Alex frowned and decided to spread a few wisps of Chaos Energy. Still, surprisingly, the moment he released Chaos Energy, those wisps of Chaos Energy seemed to be attracted by something inside the cave. They darted inside at an incredible speed and disappeared instantly. Their connection with Alex was also broken the moment they entered the cave, which shocked Alex greatly.
Truth be told, from the moment he started cultivating Chaos Energy, he had encountered this situation for the first time.
"What could it be?"
Alex didn't know, but he knew he had to enter the cave to investigate the situation. Anything related to Chaos Energy, or anything that can affect or attract Chaos Energy, is definitely not simple.
Since neither Divine Sense nor Chaos Energy was working, Alex decided to enter the cave himself. It was pitch-black inside, and he couldn't see anything at all.
Alex looked around, picked up a stone, and threw it towards the cave entrance.
With a "whoosh," the stone entered the cave, and after a while, the sound of the stone hitting the rock wall and falling to the ground echoed from within the cave.
The cave entrance was too dark; he couldn't see anything at all.
Alex thought for a moment and then raised his hand. A flame immediately appeared in his palm, which illuminated about two meters inside the cave from its entrance.
Inside the cave, there was a winding path that extended into the dark depths of the cave. And below the path was a small stream of murky water.
It was only after confirming there was nothing that Alex entered the cave. The moment he entered the cave, the Chaos Energy inside him seemed to have detected something and stirred.
Seeing this, Alex didn't hesitate to walk deeper inside the cave.
After advancing another 100 meters or so, Alex noticed that the space ahead widened considerably.
In the middle of the widened path, Alex saw a statue carved into the rock. The statue had three heads and six arms. The face of this statue was unclear, but on the ground below the statue, there was a pile of stark white bones.
Looking at the shape of the bones, Alex can tell that these bones belong to humans.
Judging by the shape of the bones, they seemed to be what was left after something had eaten them. There were clear teeth marks on the bones.
Other than the teeth marks, Alex could also see traces of one or more monsters.
Alex frowned. Although he didn't know what kind of monster could have eaten these humans, he knew he must stay alert here.
Just then, Alex felt danger coming from all directions. Without a second thought, he sprinted in the same direction from where he had come.
Following him was a thick wave of green mist. This green mist was actually poisonous gas that was suddenly released by a monster.
The monster inside, seeing Alex sprinting out, no longer concealed its figure. It immediately followed Alex and shot out.
Alex flew out of the cave at an extremely fast speed, and immediately after, the monster also came out.
At this point, Alex finally realized what kind of monster this was. It was actually a giant spider.
This spider had a huge abdomen, eight long legs, and three heads.
Three heads...
When Alex saw this three-headed spider, he immediately thought of the statue. However, that statue was clearly that of a two-legged creature, perhaps a human or a member of another race. But this spider was different. It was clearly a demonic beast.
Alex didn't have time to think too much about that statue. He immediately dodged as the spider attacked him again.
At the same time, he noticed that its strength was inferior to his, even though it looked terrifying.
[Name: Three-headed Spider.
Rank: Legendary (True Divinity).
Details: Follower of "Vor'kesh", a proud member of an ancient race, "Triarchs", who believe themselves rulers by virtue of their triple sight.]
There was not much information about the Three-headed Spider; however, the information still revealed a very important point. Alex silently noted the name "Vor'kesh" and the race "Triarchs".
After all, who knows, he may encounter them in the future.
Looking at the Three-headed Spider, Alex could tell that this spider's main lethality should be its poison. As for its strength, Alex didn't fear it. After all, he was confident in facing any True Divinity.
Now that they were outside the cave, there was no need to worry too much about the Three-headed Spider's poison.
