System: Replicating The Heavens
Chapter 451: Ch 451: First of Chaos Scripture (Incomplete)
As the blinding golden light erupted from the mural, Alex was forced to shut his eyes. The mural's golden light grew too bright to bear. The radiance pierced through his eyelids, searing into his mind, and his body trembled as if he were being pulled into another world.
Just a few seconds later, he felt an unfamiliar link forming deep within him.
Alex frowned and slowly forced his eyes open.
What he saw next stunned him, because the carved mural on the wall had completely changed. The torn golden page that Vor'kesh once held was no longer carved into stone. Instead, it had broken free. The golden page was floating in midair right in front of him. Its torn edges were glowing faintly, and strange runes were dancing across its surface.
Before Alex could even react, the page trembled a little and then shot toward him with incredible speed.
"Wha—"
Alex's voice was cut off. In the next instant, the torn golden page pierced between his eyebrows and entered directly into his glabella, disappearing into his Sea of Consciousness.
His mind shook violently as he felt an electrifying shock running through his entire body.
After entering his Sea of Consciousness, the golden page began to spin slowly. Suddenly, it burst apart with a flood of golden light that filled the entire Sea of Consciousness, blinding everything.
"Arghhh!"
Alex cried out because in that instant. He felt his head would split apart. At the same time, he sensed the golden page resonating with every trace of Chaos Energy in his body. At first, the Chaos Energy stirred restlessly, but then it was dragged uncontrollably toward the page.
Alex tried to circulate Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation, but the moment he did so, he felt even deeper chaos surging within him. It was as if his technique was no longer under his control. Instead of calming the Chaos Energy, it actually helped the golden page pull every strand of Chaos Energy inside his body toward itself.
The golden page devoured it frantically, drinking in his Chaos Energy like a starving beast. Wave after wave of Chaos Energy was pulled out of Alex's meridians, his dantian, even the tiniest streams flowing through his blood and bones.
"Arghh!"
The sensation of Chaos Energy forcefully being devoured by the golden page was unbearable. It felt half like burning fire, half like freezing ice, and all of it concentrated in his Sea of Consciousness. His vision blurred, and for a terrifying moment, Alex thought his soul itself might shatter.
He felt weaker as his body trembled, and cold sweat poured down his face. His hands clenched into fists, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop the draining. It was as if the golden page had become a bottomless pit, trying to strip him dry until nothing was left.
Fortunately, when the last hundredth of his Chaos Energy was about to be devoured by the torn golden page, it stopped. The golden page stopped spinning, and the golden light illuminating his Sea of Consciousness disappeared.
At the same time, a stream of information appeared in his mind.
To Alex's shock, this information actually carried the complete Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation.
It is worth noting that Alex has always been cultivating an incomplete cultivation technique. The Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation that he used to cultivate had nine layers in total; however, he didn't have all nine layers in his possession. He only had a total of three layers.
As for the other six layers, Atticus had not yet given him those layers.
Moreover, cultivating the Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation is actually quite difficult. After all, even after such a long time, he had only cultivated to the Second Layer of Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation and completed two transformations.
Currently, he was cultivating the Third Layer of Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation.
If he wanted to cultivate the fourth layer, he must go to Atticus, complete his trial, and then obtain the fourth layer and above layers of Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation.
But now, this golden page actually gave him the complete Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation, which shocked him a lot.
After all, Atticus clearly told him that he was the one who created the Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation. According to Atticus, this cultivation technique is the strongest in the entire "universe". He was unable to cultivate Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation because, before he could do so, he was captured and sealed.
If what Atticus told him was true, then how could he obtain the complete version of Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation from the torn piece of Golden Paper?
Atticus couldn't help but recall the patterns he had seen in the cave where Atticus was sealed.
According to Atticus, those patterns were created by him. Those patterns are actually a formation that can replicate the Chaos Energy he cultivates through the Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation. [Ref. Ch: 238]
Years ago, Alex believed Atticus. But now, it seems that Atticus never spoke the truth.
Now that he had cultivated to the Origin Martial God Stage and had even comprehended a trace of Lightning Source Law, he was sure that creating those patterns that could replicate the Chaos Energy he cultivated through Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation was not easy at all. In fact, he even doubted... In fact, he was sure that even a Saint Foundation Stage warrior like Cyr could never create such patterns, let alone a True Divinity Stage warrior like Atticus.
Then a few new questions appeared in Alex's mind.
Why did Atticus lie to him?
What is Atticus hiding?
Most importantly, if Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation and those patterns are not created by him, how did he obtain them?
Where did he obtain them?
Where did he obtain that single strand of Chaos Energy that transformed his entire Spirit Energy into Chaos Energy when he was still an Innate Stage warrior?
Many questions emerged in Alex's mind.
Alex couldn't help but close his eyes and look inside his Sea of Consciousness. The torn piece of Golden Paper was floating there silently, as if it had never forcefully devoured Chaos Energy from his body.
He couldn't understand why this piece of paper did that.
Anyways, he immediately tried to look at the information on this piece of torn golden paper.
[Name: First Chapter of Chaos Scripture (Incomplete).
Rank: ███
Details: First Chapter of Chaos Scripture was ███, and *&^%$#! It was torn into four pieces...??? .....*&^%$#!
???
Note: Please gather all four pieces of the First Chapter of Chaos Scripture for more information.]
That's all.
The information ended there.
In fact, all Alex obtained from his system was the name of this golden page. It was called the First Chapter of Chaos Scripture.
Alex stared at the words in front of him.
Just this name alone gave him chills. Moreover, the strange black boxes, broken sentences, and missing details in the information panel told him that this First Chapter of Chaos Scripture was definitely not an ordinary treasure. It is worth knowing that this torn golden page, or the entire golden page, was only one of many pages of a scripture.
Most importantly, it seems no one knows about Chaos Scripture because even during that great war shown on the murals, one single page appeared.
Yet that single page was enough to ignite war among many races.
"Four pieces…" Alex muttered inwardly. There were three more pages somewhere in this vast universe. Even a single piece was able to provide Alex with a complete cultivation technique that was called the strongest in the entire "universe" by Atticus, who used to be the strongest person in the entire "universe". (Universe here means galaxy.)
If he could gather them all, he would be able to obtain the complete First Chapter of Chaos Scripture. What would he obtain then?
Now, here comes a twist. The other three torn pieces of Golden Paper must be in the hands of at least the Saint Sovereign Stage warriors. How could he take back the other three torn pieces from those giants' hands?
This thought was both exciting and terrifying for Alex.
His body still ached from the earlier devouring, and sweat covered his forehead, but he felt something different deep inside. His Chaos Energy, though nearly emptied, had actually become thicker and heavier than before. It was like every strand carried a deeper force, as though it had been tempered and strengthened hundreds of thousands of times.
Even without checking carefully, Alex knew that his cultivation foundation had grown much stronger.
Alex clenched his fists. "No matter what, I'll uncover the truth. After leaving this place, I'll return to the Essence Sky World and visit Atticus. I must know the truth. I must know how he obtained the Primordial Chaos Nine Scripture and why he lied to me. What exactly is his goal?"
Alex took a deep breath and calmed his surging thoughts. Then he looked at the walls again.
To his surprise, all those glyphs and murals had disappeared at some point in time. Now, the wall was plain, without any lines or symbols.
