The blade trembled and roared like a furious beast. Normally, it would release dense evil energy, but under Alex's control, the entire power was replaced with Chaos Energy.

The moment he swung down, a golden-black arc of energy burst forth. It was like a giant lion made of chaos energy, roaring across the hall.

The air shook violently, and the ground cracked as the slash surged forward. The ceiling above flickered with bursts of chaotic lightning, and the hall itself seemed to tremble as if it would collapse under the pressure.

Zerath's eyes narrowed for the first time. His body began to glow faintly, and a thin layer of red abyssal energy erupted from within him. It wrapped around his arms and chest like living armor.

"ROAR!"

Zerath let out a terrifying bellow and raised both arms, crossing them in front of his body.

The lion-shaped slash crashed against him with a thunderous explosion. The entire building trembled, dust and shards of stone flying everywhere. A violent shockwave spread out, shaking the monsters outside and silencing their roars.

When the energy cleared, Zerath was still standing in the same place. His arms were smoking faintly, but not a single wound appeared on his body. The thin red aura around him shimmered weakly, proving it had taken the brunt of the attack.

Alex's eyes narrowed. Although he hadn't expected to harm Zerath much, he never thought he would be completely unable to leave even a single wound on his body.
