Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might
Chapter 485 - 477: Initiative
CHAPTER 485: CHAPTER 477: INITIATIVE
"Why are you here?" Leon sat up and leaned against the headboard, his brow furrowed.
"Your Majesty," Laksha’s voice was wrapped in sultriness and sweetness, her eyes shining in the dark, and her sheer nightgown faintly revealing her figure, "Your Majesty hasn’t summoned me to bed, so I had to come uninvited."
"Who are you... why would I summon you to bed?" Leon tried hard to keep his eyes on Laksha’s eyes, but somehow his gaze uncontrollably slid downward, as if his lower body were competing with his upper body for control.
As Laksha duck-sat on the bed, a sitting posture claimed to be the most feminine, she wrapped her arms around her chest, enhancing her already impressive assets. Leon felt the pressure increasing.
Laksha glanced at Leon, noticing his gaze keenly. She gently bit her lip and playfully said, "I know, what I’m doing is wrong, shameless, but I can’t control myself..."
Leon swallowed, knowing well that Laksha was just putting on an act, merely unable to resist her impulses.
"Your Majesty~" Laksha crawled to Leon’s side.
Leon’s eyes were entirely captivated by the alluring sight before him.
"Alright?" Laksha breathed softly, she was indeed a proud giant dragon, but the man before her was a god, making her behave like a kitten.
Leon took a deep breath and instantly regained clarity. If he couldn’t resist such a small temptation, those succubi would surely devour him to the last bit, suddenly he shouted sharply, "Impertinent!"
Laksha was startled, looking up to see Leon’s stern expression, she became flustered. After all, she had seen with her own eyes Leon turning into a colossal giant and thrashing the Ocean Goddess, able to crush her with just a finger, it wasn’t something to joke about.
"With your personality, doing such a thing is unlikely," Leon glanced at Laksha, "Who taught you?"
"Tassera isn’t that idle, Cecilia is very smart, would have a much better plan than to teach you to sneak into my bed... Fiora and Isily, those Metal Dragons, it’s even more impossible." Leon smirked dismissively, analyzing, "It must be that Salovis fellow, a bit clever, fearless, and likes to fool around the most."
"Salovis wouldn’t help you for no reason." Leon placed his hands behind his head, looking carefree yet knowing everything, "So, how much did it cost?"
"One hundred gold coins." Laksha felt her heart bleeding and aching. The night raid plan failed miserably, and one hundred gold coins couldn’t be refunded, losing everything with nothing left.
"So little?" Leon said with disdain.
"She asked for ten thousand gold coins, a guaranteed refund if unsuccessful. I bargained down to one hundred gold coins, but with no refund." Laksha cautiously said.
Leon shook his head, finding it both amusing and exasperating.
"Well... is that all?" Laksha said as she moved towards the edge of the bed, "If that’s all, I’ll leave first."
"Stop!" Leon narrowed his eyes.
Laksha froze in place, asking, "Does Your Majesty have anything else?"
Leon glanced at Laksha, sneering, "Come and go as you please?"
Laksha began to tremble in fear.
Leon’s gaze wandered freely over Laksha.
Laksha was indeed a Black Dragon, but not an ordinary one. Otherwise, Leon couldn’t stand the Skull Dragon’s stench of decayed vegetation and sewage. She was picked by Tiamat specifically to tempt him, undoubtedly charming in looks and figure, especially her human form as a black-haired beauty was mesmerizing.
Leon just couldn’t accept being passive. Now with the passive turned active, it felt different, he patted the bed and said, "Come here, do it yourself."
"Okay." Laksha didn’t dare delay.
Leon accepted Laksha, but did not endorse her actions; thus, he wasn’t going to grant her a Princess status, nor give any additional treatment. As for the future, it depended on her subsequent performance.
Where predecessors failed, successors bask in the sun. To prevent similar incidents from occurring, Leon specially arranged for a maid to guard his bedroom door day and night.
Isily got promoted, and now Laksha too, but no one could guarantee when they might bear Leon’s child... Tassera assured her that Isily and Laksha were still ordinary dragons, their life tier not high enough to easily bear Leon’s child, yet Fiora had given up in despair.
Fiora currently didn’t care whether she could bear Leon’s child, she was focused on her career, striving to become a god managing voyages one day.
Occasionally when nothing was happening, Leon, having nothing better to do, would give some advice to Fiora.
"Haven’t thought up a doctrine yet?"
"A newbie’s start isn’t easy, pilfer what you must for a doctrine, plagiarism is common, don’t feel any guilt."
"Don’t fear disgrace or black history, once you become a True God, scholars will defend your doctrines."
"It’s free anyway, as long as they believe a little."
"Whether you believe it or not, I believe it anyway."
"What do you think of these two slogans?"
"If you don’t give up the child, you can’t catch the wolf. Spend when necessary, give eggs out when needed, don’t worry about losing belief when egg supply stops, establish trust first then instill religious concepts, devout believers grow from religious adherents."
"Moderate manifestations and displaying miracles are essential, maintaining a sense of mystery is also very important."
"Oh, and the image, how do you think the image should be changed?"
Leon openly forbade proselytizing in public, but as long as it wasn’t overdone, he essentially didn’t care, because manpower was limited, he couldn’t manage every aspect. This didn’t stop his double standards, not only allowing Fiora to preach freely, he once actively established policies to cooperate with her...
Because Fiora sought voyages, occupying the Ocean Goddess’s niche, and after all, the Ocean Goddess was chased away by Leon, thus no other deity would bother themselves.
With policy support from above, and being proactive herself, slowly Fiora did develop a sect. Although the number was small and limited to Watchtower Port, the most difficult first step was anyhow taken.
Fiora had a sect now, developing steadily, perhaps she could truly conquer voyages. Leon still doesn’t know when he could become the Dragon God in everyone’s eyes, after so many years of promotion, it still hadn’t stirred any reaction, which was disheartening.
He’s now hesitant about whether to stir up something big to raise his reputation.
Beating the Demon Lord and Great Devil was pointless, as demons and devils didn’t conflict with dragons, no dragon would care about that, failing to evoke any resonance with the Dragon Clan. He needed to do something intrinsic to giant dragons.
Leon pondered endlessly, unable to figure out what to do.
