Five Years Later

About eighteen years ago had someone told Yin she would ever be a hard worker in her past life, she would have flipped them a bird, called them nuts, and then strutted away like a peacock.

Today, though, in her second life, she was doing gym exercises resembling Yoga in the morning, doing meditation, and getting her behind kicked by the sea dragon douluo every damn other day until it was black and blue. Some other undefinable color only to end up in a medicine back afterwards, which was usually not as relaxing as it may sound.

Five years had passed like a flash.

God exams passed, partially, entirely five centimetres taller. She was not almost 5'3 and proud of it, in heels, which she didn't wear, so it was 5'2 in actuality.

Next to her was Jiang, who had at some point decided it was no use even pretending to be human anymore, or adapting to her age group, so he was standing there, arms crossed, gaze straight and Brooding.

"Jiang." She announced, earning a raised eyebrow and an acknowledging grumble. "It is time."

"You have been saying that for three days. Ever since we got the letter." He said and raised a letter, waving it around. "That Gale has managed to make a working new arm for you."

"I am nervous, you know." She said and jumped from one leg to another. Eighteen, almost nineteen-year-old Tang Yin answered, and was a lot more nervous than she cared to admit.

"What if it doesn't work, or something happens. I mean, it's a prototype?"

Jiang growled again. Yes she was being annoying. She had been annoying him about that for weeks now. Weeks, and it was getting on more than one of his nerves. In fact, she was certain she was currently driving a German Leopard Panzer over his nerves and having it dance cha cha there. But she could not help it; she was nervous. It was not every day one got a new arm.

"Calm down, little Yin." Behind her, a gentle voice said, and she turned around.

Bo Saixi was standing there, her staff in her hand, and smiled gently. "You have been driving everyone nuts."

"I am getting a new arm." She said. "I am permitted to drive people nuts."

"You are overdoing it." She said, and a grumbling Yu Hua walked up the cliff.

Where Yin had grown curvier and she was proud of those, even though they were not ample, but proportionally well-suited curves, Yu Hua had grown devastatingly beautiful.

Modern Model beautiful.

Full lips, sharp but delicate features, the slightly slanted purest green almond eyes with the touch of exotic, pure skin with just the right amount of healthy tan, combined with a figure and style that could have been straight from a Vogue magazine.

If she didn't know for sure it was the opposite case, she would also have said he was as gay as a unicorn.

Still, Yu Hua was just confident in his skin and liked women and they liked him back. That and he owned the most exclusive fashion salon on Poseidon Island.

Wearing a thousand flowers Saloon dress was a statement at this point. Yin had a gaderobe full, making her the envy of every woman on the Island who noted the subtle mark of Yu Huas, which was an iron flower on her pieces.

A subtle hint to his spirit master skills, which were unknown to most, but made him one of the most cunning and probably deadly spirit masters of his level.

As Bo Saixi said and getting such a comment from the leader of Poseidon Pavilion was the highest of praise.

"Everything packed?" He asked her, and she nodded in response.

"Good." His voice was deeper, too, with a faint timbre now. "Then stop annoying all of us and get going. Good flight."

He said, and she punched him in the side. "Meany."

"Mhh." He ruffled her hair. "Take good care. Aggressive imp. Make sure you don't drive Jiang nuts. I doubt you find a better guy than him...in fact, anyone else able to keep up with your goddamn mood swings."

She snapped her teeth at him. "Have fun with your newest girlfriend." She said, and he groaned. She knew she annoyed him.

The last girl he had tried to date had been a Hyena. In the sense that she was after his money and his name, the current one was better, but she was... relatively empty in the head, and Yin was rather sure that would not last long.

Yu Hua was an artist and intellectual at heart, and while he still tried to ignore it. He needed an equal, not a little bimbo or a housewife, but someone who would be able to stare him down if he had stupid ideas and was not afraid to show her opinion.

Someone with the ability to keep up with him.

And these people did not grow on trees, she was not about to tell him that, though he needed to notice it himself.

Hugs given and tempers stroked, she unleashed her wings and soared into the sky with Jiang in human form next to her. His skin was covered in small patches of scales. His stormcloud eyes fixed on her as his wings brushed hers gently.

She flew closer to get headsets from him before giggling happily and challenging the dragon for a match in the sky.

He agreed, and while the two of them played catch, they headed closer and closer to Vast Sea City, unaware of what was yet to come.
