She was lounging next to Damian, handing him drinks. Redhead was not a spirit master, though. Then there was the blonde next to the man who was sitting there. She was neither a spirit master.

"So, Mr Wang, why have you chosen to ignore the rules set by my people?" He asked him.

"Coming straight to the point, mhh." The man said. "Easy. The world is changing, and you need to change with it. Mr Damian. Or should I say Mr. Zhou?"

Yin blinked. She had known Damian's last name, but he had never been quite forthright with it. Often, even using Gale's name or hers as a cover when it was necessary just to avoid using his own.

So, where had this man known from?

"Very, very few people know that name," Damian said coolly. "Tell me now, why do you believe that the rules need to be changed? Do the rules of basic humanity need to be forgotten?"

"For whom, for people who do not even know how to control themselves, for trash that will contribute nothing? I am merely making do where I can." He flashed a smile and raised his arm to take a sip when Yin spotted a very familiar sign.

Spirit Hall

She cast a look at Jiang and then mouted silently. He is in the spirit hall. Jiang leaned forward, whispering into Damian's ear, and her friend, remaining completely expressionless, went somehow even colder than before.

"Are you sure that is your goal?" He asked and then cast a look at Wang. "As far as I remember, Spirit Hall is solely responsible for spirit masters; you never involve yourself in common people's lives, much less in those like ours who are living very much in the shadows of society."

Wang revealed little, but it was clear that Damian's knowing his allegiance or origin made him slightly uncomfortable he hadn't expected Damian to immediately recognize him. Usually he would have been right too, that specific spirit hall sigil was neither a secret nor common knowledge usually one would have to look up that Sigil but Damian was not a common person though like the two of them he had been drilled on everysingle variation of the spirit hall sigils by the Grandmaster. Her gaze wandered for a moment to Sinclair, whose expression was grim as he too sipped on his drink.

The silence once again stretched.

Damian cast a look at her. She leaned forward. "Little Yin, please be so kind and show the gentleman what messing with me means."  She blinked. Truly now? "I am certain that Sinclair has informed you about my slight connection to spirit masters." Damian told the man, casting a look at an increasigly unsure looking Sinclair.

"I highly..." He stilled as Tang Yin released her spirit power. Rings rising from around her one by one, echoing and coming forward from her feet, circling around her. Beneath the concealment, there was no red, but it was sufficient to scare the man.

One

He noticed the yellow.

Two.

He tilted his head in curiosity.

Three.

His expression grimmed.

Four.

He paled slightly.

Five.

Now he was ghostly pale.

Six.

Well she was leaving out her seventh ring...for now.

He shot upwards from his chair, shaking off the blonde who was sitting on his lap. The blond woman and the redhead silently retreated.

"Now...let me clarify." Damian rose. Cast first a look at Sinclair, then at Wang. "My rules are very simple. Whomever you sell your drugs to, whomever you are messing with, make sure it's not my people or minors. Adults are responsible for themselves; hence, I don't care about them, but if they break those rules again, we might have a problem.

He looked at Jiang, who smiled as well, and around him, the same number of rings rose that Yin had displayed. The entire club went silent, and even the music stopped.

"You are not the only one with a spirit master connection." He then clarified and stepped out, Yin and Damian following him as their spirit rings vanished, like a mirage. Yin leaned toward Damian.

"Why did we do that?" She asked him. "After having asked us to keep our power concealed?"

"Mhh." Damian grinned. "Well, from this point on, they will never know when someone accompanying me is a spirit master or not. When the two of you can conceal your power as well as you do. It makes them cautious and fearful of me. Fear is a good way to control people, especially when you are dealing with cutthroats like Sinclair. Also, calling me Zhou by my last name is an insult, and he knew it; he was trying to show me that he knows who I am, and I showed him that he should not get ahead of anything because he knows nothing."

"And that is going to work?" She sounded surprised.

"You would be surprised how often it does." He said as they left the club and then went outside, taking a deep breath until he was smiling, and the other two joined them. "Either way, your mere presence this one time will make them think, doubt, and more about who stands behind me..."

"Interesting," Jiang said and laughed. "You just used us well for the short time we are here."

"Well, I would have been stupid not to." Damian put up his hands, asking for a silent high five. Yin clapped into it, and so did Jiang after a bit of hesitation. "And now they will leave me in peace for quite a while. The alternative would be to have asked you to kill both of them, but I don't want to do that."

"So you bluffed," Yin grinned and jumped forward, with Zihao almost stopping her and ruffling up his slicked-back hair. He smiled lightly.

"Aye. I hope this will make them very very careful... Although I will be sending in some feelers on why Spirit Hall is involved in all of this. I mean, they have never been interested or in any way involved in the life of the average person." He grumbled, and she blinked. "It is not their style."

"Send me what you find out," she then said. "I have a feeling we will need it eventually." She said, and Damian hummed in agreement.

"Sure, I will." He said, then stroked his hair back into place. "Now, dinner, I am hungry, and I usually avoid drinking on an empty stomach."
