Chapter 811 - 808: On the Road
CHAPTER 811: CHAPTER 808: ON THE ROAD
Dou Dou and Duoduo were chatting, and only then did Mili figure out that they became like this because they met an older brother named Potato, which made them different from other ghosts.
"Is he really an immortal?" Mili asked Duoduo.
Compared to Dou Dou’s statement that he was the Great Demon, she was more inclined to believe Duoduo who said he was an immortal.
"That’s what my mom and dad say, but brother is really as powerful as an immortal." Duoduo said.
"Then... can he make me like you guys?" Mili’s eyes were full of hope.
If she could be like Duoduo and Dou Dou, then she could let her parents see her and talk to them.
This was her biggest wish after death.
"I’ll have to ask brother about that." Duoduo said.
"Where is he? Are we going to find him now?" Mili was a bit impatient.
"Potato is probably sleeping now." Dou Dou said.
Duoduo nodded.
Mili looked a bit disappointed but still said, "Then let’s find him tomorrow and ask him if he can."
"Potato is very nice, he will definitely agree to help you."
"Didn’t you say he was the Great Demon?" Mili squinted at her.
"That’s right. But he’s a nice Great Demon." Dou Dou said confidently.
"How did you die?" Duoduo curiously asked on the side.
"I died of illness, I was in the hospital for a long time, but in the end, I still died." Mili said.
"Then that hospital was not good, couldn’t even cure you." Dou Dou said.
"My illness was very hard to treat, it couldn’t be cured, it’s leukemia, they said my bone marrow wasn’t producing blood, and I needed a bone marrow transplant." Mili explained.
The two little ones listened in a fog, not understanding at all, Dou Dou even thought of big bones, Dad always liked to suck the stuff inside big bones, she vaguely remembered, that stuff seemed to be called bone marrow.
So Dou Dou said, "Then you need to eat more big bones, just like my Dad eats them."
Mili had no idea what she was talking about, and continued, "Later my dad had my little sister, but before she could grow up, I died."
"Wow, that’s amazing." Dou Dou exclaimed.
Mili was embarrassed, almost laughed out of annoyance.
"What’s amazing about that?"
"Dying so quickly."
Mili: ...
"Hehe..."
Duoduo couldn’t help but laugh, noticing Mili’s gaze, quickly covered her own mouth.
But Mili herself couldn’t hold it anymore and laughed along with them.
She tilted her head back, proudly saying, "I’m quite amazing indeed."
After the three of them played around, they continued to walk forward.
Even though they were chatting while walking, Dou Dou still felt bored, she didn’t want to walk, she wanted to fly in the sky.
"This place is so boring, there’s nothing around."
It was almost midnight, and on top of it being New Year’s, not many cars were passing by on the road, heavy snow was falling from the sky, making everything look monotonous.
"Then let’s take Mili flying with us." Duoduo proposed.
Mili, upon hearing this, also showed an excited look.
"Where are we flying to?" Dou Dou asked.
"Of course, flying home." Duoduo said.
"Then why didn’t you just send us back with a swoosh?" Dou Dou asked.
Duoduo was taken aback, then said, "Oh, I was thinking that too."
"No, you weren’t thinking that at all, you’re so silly, haha..." Dou Dou pointed at Duoduo with a smug face, feeling like she finally got some payback.
"Don’t talk nonsense, I thought about it too."
"Humph, you’re a little dummy, you didn’t think of it just now." Dou Dou said smugly.
"Don’t talk nonsense."
Duoduo lunged forward, trying to cover Dou Dou’s mouth, the two little ones wrestling together.
Mili watched in astonishment, thinking how even a small thing like this could lead to a fight, and she seemed not to understand what they were saying either.
However, she hurried forward to separate the two.
"Tomorrow, I’m going to tell Potato about this." Dou Dou said smugly.
"Go ahead, I’m not afraid." Duoduo said indifferently.
"I’ll also tell Sister Xiao Yue." Dou Dou continued.
Duoduo, who had just been pulled apart, upon hearing this wanted to rush over and hit her again.
Mili had to put in a lot of effort to separate them again.
Then she saw an incredibly amazing scene, as Duoduo took out an oil paper umbrella and covered everyone with it. Even though they had been in a fight, Duoduo didn’t mean to leave Dou Dou behind.
As she turned the umbrella handle, the surrounding scenery instantly changed.
They had just been in the countryside, but in a flash, they appeared in an alley.
"How about it, isn’t it great?"
Dou Dou asked Mili proudly, as if it were her own ability.
Duoduo, hearing these words, felt very happy, deciding to forgive Dou Dou for calling her dumb earlier, of course, as long as she didn’t tell Sister Xiao Yue about it.
"It is really amazing, but where are we now?" Mili asked.
"At the entrance of Duoduo’s house." Dou Dou pointed to a small alley beside them.
"But I want to go home." Mili said.
"Where is your home?" Duoduo asked.
Mili: ...
"You don’t know where your home is?" Dou Dou said with wide eyes.
Mili recalled Dou Dou calling Duoduo dumb earlier, afraid she would say the same about her, hurriedly explained, "I’ve always been in the hospital and don’t go out often, isn’t it normal not to know the way?"
"Then why did you get off the car, what if you got lost and couldn’t get back home?" Dou Dou said, a bit displeased.
Her displeasure naturally stemmed from worrying about Mili.
Because she had such an experience, getting lost with mom in the supermarket, not knowing the way back home, just waiting in a corner of the supermarket for mom.
Every day keeping an eye on every customer who walked into the supermarket, to see if it was her mom.
Those were very difficult times, fortunately, she met Sister Sun Meiqi then, otherwise, she might have headed outside searching, possibly getting lost in the sea of people, never finding way back home.
It was the same for Duoduo too, why she kept running along a road after her death, hardly changing direction, was the same reason.
At their young age, it’s easy to get lost, never finding the way home, never seeing their mom and dad again.
Mili, upon hearing this, felt a bit sad, lowering her head, softly saying, "Even though I don’t know the way, but in our house, you can see the TV station, dad said that’s the Big Pants."
"Big Pants?"
Dou Dou heard this, eyes widening, then looked down at her own lower half.
Then excitedly said, "I’ll go take a look."
With that, she turned into a gust of Yin Wind and whistled towards the sky.
Mili watched this scene in a daze, face filled with envy.
Then worriedly said, "Would she get lost flying and not find us?"
"No, no matter where she flies, she can find me." Duoduo said.
Then turned and walked towards the alley, extending an invitation: "Do you want to come play at my house?"
"Okay!"
Mili hurriedly followed.
