Chapter 121 22 - A War of Hacks is a Competition of Whose Hack is Bigger
Inside the magical workshop established by the Fairy Tale Witch.
"Alice, something incredible seems to have happened last night."
The magus named Aoko, leading a certain money-grubbing, lecherous swordswoman, burst into the Fairy Tale Witch's workshop, yelling loudly.
"I know."
The witch, who had been monitoring the entirety of Fuyuki City through her familiars—the twenty-four chocolate-colored starlings known as "A Song of Sixpence"—cuddled Nursery Rhyme and spoke to the fussing magus, her tone placid.
The Tohsaka estate was gone.
Upon seeing two incredibly powerful-looking Servants charging towards his ancestral home, Gilgamesh, feeling his authority had been challenged, had met them in battle.
Three ceiling-tier Servants engaged in a massive brawl right there. The Noble Phantasms they unleashed not only pulverized all the buildings of the Tohsaka estate but also blasted the underground areas to dust.
Everything the Tohsaka family had accumulated over five generations was smashed to pieces by these three walking targets in less than three minutes.
Tohsaka Tokiomi, who was not only a participant in the Holy Grail War but also the administrator of Fuyuki's ley lines, had barely managed to escape the AoE range. Before he even had time to grieve his losses, he realized a huge problem.
Fuyuki City was probably doomed.
These three humanoid nuclear weapons had demolished his home with just their basic attacks. If they used their trump card Noble Phantasms...
The scene was too beautiful for Tohsaka Tokiomi to imagine.
The Pot-King, whose character and sense of responsibility were absolutely top-tier among magi, painfully used his Command Spells. One stroke to strengthen Gilgamesh, and another to command him to stop Karna and Cú Chulainn from expanding the scope of their destruction.
However, it was fucking useless.
Karna had used his ultimate.
Vasavi Shakti: O Sun, Abide to Death
Rank: A++/EX
Type: Anti-Army, Anti-Divine Noble Phantasm
A divine spear granted by the god-king Indra. When Indra came to take the golden armor, he felt he had to repay Karna for his exceedingly noble attitude. In the anecdote where he relinquished his golden armor to Indra, Karna abandoned and dismantled it, thereby obtaining the god-slaying spear—a spear of light that even the king of the gods would find difficult to control.
The entirety of the Tohsaka estate was locked on as a single entity by Karna.
The spear, described as powerful enough to utterly destroy any "single" existence in the world—including divine beasts, people, shields, armies, castles, barriers, and gods, a weapon that only the "World" itself could withstand—was thrown.
It was like the US Seventh Fleet had arrived at Fuyuki Port and launched a saturation strike on a specific area without regard for cost, or like the legendary space-based kinetic weapon—the Rods from God—had come crashing down.
Even with Gilgamesh's Sword of Rupture, Ea, opened to its maximum output, he couldn't block the god-slaying spear.
The gap between their Masters was too great.
The Little Sun, receiving an infinite supply of mana through his Master's support, was basically a nuclear missile silo. Even if Tokiomi used his last Command Spell, he couldn't change the fact that Gilgamesh was at a disadvantage.
Because Li Zihan had countered by using three Command Spells to strengthen Karna.
When it came to the total number of Command Spells, Li Zihan lost to no one.
Berserker, seeing that things were going south, wanted to help Gilgamesh and face Lancer together. Unfortunately for him, his Master, Kotomine Kirei, had his hand chopped off, and all his Command Spells were now in Li Zihan's possession.
Two Command Spells—one to make him drop his defenses, and another to make him charge into the point of impact between Vasavi Shakti and Ea. Gilgamesh couldn't even stop him.
Without the Big Doggy's help, Gilgamesh couldn't withstand the infinitely-powered Vasavi Shakti. He was defeated.
And so, Archer and Berserker were eliminated from the war.
What was left was a massive, massive crater, a catatonic Tohsaka Tokiomi sitting on its edge, and the departing figure of Lancer.
After Lancer left, Alice had sent a familiar to investigate the area. Honestly, she felt the place now looked like a mine prepared for oil drilling.
"By the way, aren't you nervous?"
Miss Aoko, feeling that she and Musashi combined were no match for that Lancer who basically had "invincible" written on his face, asked the girl whose expression was completely normal.
"Why should I be afraid?"
The witch, who had already transferred all of her familiars to Nursery Rhyme, spoke in her usual placid tone.
"Zihan won't hurt me."
Just as if she had won and activated the Grail to implant a new past, Li Zihan would probably be regretful, but once the Grail activated, his view on love would naturally change.
If she lost, the price she would pay would only be a period of anger and sadness. The anger and sadness would naturally stem from her current self being unable to tolerate a so-called harem. But once the Holy Grail activated, her view on love would be rewritten, and she would then naturally come to enjoy that love.
The final result would be nothing more than one of them compromising.
Listening to Miss Alice's very calm words, Miss Aoko sighed, feeling a little envious. She had a hunch that if it were her and Touko standing before Li Zihan, he would show no mercy and would have Lancer "Ora Ora" them for three straight pages.
Seriously, were Touko and I just a little too enthusiastic in our pursuit of shotas? Why is the differential treatment so huge?
However, when she remembered the secret deal she had made with Li Zihan behind Alice's back, her mood brightened.
No matter who won or lost, she could now righteously use the shota, whose body would be regressed to thirteen years old, as her hug pillow for a month.
Besides, it wasn't as if she had no chance of winning, right?
The corners of Miss Aoko's mouth glistened slightly as she imagined that if she got the Holy Grail, she would directly add an event like "marriage" for herself.
"What are you... doing?"
Miss Alice's voice turned a little cold, feeling that her disciple and housemate's expression was becoming increasingly perverted.
"N-Nothing! Just wondering what Touko is up to right now."
The clearly-up-to-something Miss Aoko laughed and changed the subject.
"Alice, you keep talking. I'm listening."
If there's enough mana left in the Grail, I'll have to correct this one's worldview too. Alice thought silently, feeling that Aoko had been getting stranger and stranger recently. She then moved on to another matter.
"Besides, I won't necessarily lose."
The girl, who had already prepared a fairy-tale castle for her lover, hugged the book in her arms tighter.
"The world underground is complete."
The world underground?
Vaguely recalling something about the Noble Phantasm of the Phantasmal Spirit named Nursery Rhyme, Aoko's expression turned slightly horrified.
The wonderland from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland?
That Phantasmal Spirit can even do something like recreating a world from a fairy tale?
Miss Alice hugged the book in her arms, her delicate and pretty face still expressionless, but Aoko could sense joy radiating from it.
"Yes, it is complete."
"Victory is mine."
