CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 133: I HOPE HE DIES BEFORE WE GET THERE!

"Huh~ I’m comfortable hanging out here! That dusty relic like the Jujutsu High School should’ve been scrapped and burned ages ago."

"It’s the 21st century, but it’s still stuck in the past."

Shiro Sakamaki took a swig of beer and waved his hand impatiently.

"If you’ve got something to say, say it already. Don’t waste my time acting all mysterious."

"And don’t forget to leave money for the glass when you go."

"Seriously? A rich guy like you cares about one glass?"

Shiro snapped, "Having money doesn’t mean you get to smash my stuff for free!"

"Also, didn’t I tell you I’ve got class tomorrow? I’m a model student!"

Of course, Shiro shamelessly called himself that, conveniently forgetting how many classes he had already skipped in his first month.

"Alright, alright. I’m actually here to help you," said Gojo Satoru.

That line again. Shiro already knew this guy was up to no good. But since he owed Gojo a favor, he held back the words boiling up in his throat.

"Fine. I’ll listen. But this is just me repaying a favor. You explain everything first—

I’ll decide if I want in."

Gojo raised an eyebrow in mock surprise.

"Shiro-kun, having second thoughts?"

"Don’t forget—my help depends on whether I can help. If it’s too much trouble, I’m out."

"Besides, if this is just some minor squabble, I wouldn’t even bother. You’re lucky I don’t like getting dragged into messy stuff."

"Alright, alright. Here’s the situation..."

---

A few days ago, a young man emerged into this world through a black hole.

Upon arrival, he displayed strange, unnatural powers. Though the Supernatural Management Bureau’s deputy director, Yaguya Toichiro, managed to suppress him immediately, part of his core escaped during the cleanup.

That escaped core found a human host—and transformed them into a monster, just like the youth from the other world before. This new form is highly infectious.

A mere wound allows the infection to spread. Slowly, piece by piece, the victim transforms into a gear-based creature.

According to the Bureau’s investigation, over a thousand civilians have already been infected.

A fully transformed person’s strength is comparable to the peak of the Tier 8, level. However, depending on one’s fitness and infection stage, strength varies.

Fortunately, these monsters can’t infect others. The infection source lies in the mother body. If the source is destroyed, the problem is solved.

Yaguya estimates the mother body is physically at Tier 7 peak-level, comparable to the lowest tier of Tier 6-level strength—but it doesn’t possess a domain.

---

"So, don’t tell me you can’t handle a few glorified scrap bots," Shiro said, raising an eyebrow.

From what Shiro knew, Gojo’s strength—while just a little bit away of Tier 6-level—was more than enough to mop up these creatures. Especially with his unique technique.

So why did he come all the way here?

Meanwhile, Misaki kept quiet, sensing the conversation had crossed into dangerous territory.

Gojo didn’t seem to mind her presence. In fact, he was strangely open about everything.

"It’s not about the monsters. It’s... her," Gojo said, glancing toward Misaki.

"Eh? Me?"

"Yeah." Gojo paused for effect. "According to our intel, the mother body might be... your childhood friend. Mitaka Jin."

"What?!"

Misaki lunged forward, grabbing Gojo’s collar in panic.

"How’s Jin?! What happened to him?!"

"Calm down, okay? There’s not much we could do once things escalated this far."

Shiro, arms crossed, stayed silent.

"I’m not close with Mitaka Jin," he said coolly—though even he didn’t understand the strange satisfaction that stirred in his chest.

Misaki turned to Shiro, eyes trembling.

"Junior, please... save him. I’m begging you."

Her voice trembled, eyes shimmering with emotion. She was ready to cry.

Shiro gently placed a hand on her head.

"Don’t worry, senpai. For your sake, I’ll do what I can."

Gojo watched silently. Even though he was still single, he understood well enough what was happening here.

Shiro’s motivation had changed. And honestly, if it weren’t for Misaki’s involvement, Gojo’s clan probably wouldn’t have needed Shiro’s help at all.

"So, when do we leave?" Shiro asked, eyes serious now.
