That jasmine fragrance was Kelsey’s signature.

Disliking the scent on him, Harriet made no move to get up,

while Ellsworth pulled at his own clothes and sniffed them.

Other than the smell ofundry detergent, there was nothing

pretending to sleep anymore?”

Still holding his hand, Harriet said in a t voice, “I’m really tired.

Please stop.”

Since Harriet said she was tired, Ellsworth didn’t force her. He

kissed her face and said, “Then let’s wait until the weekend.”

Harriet repliedzily, “We’ll see about the weekend.”

While answering Ellsworth, Harriet was thinking to herself that

she had to work overtime this weekend, and the next, and the

one after that.

By then, the resignation turmoil would have pretty much blown

over.

With her voice stillzy, Ellsworth greedily kneaded her a few times before finally letting her go so she could rest.

The nightlight in the room stayed on, and Harriet was much

colder than she used to be.

A few months ago, whenever Ellsworth managed toe

home, she would be so happy, bustling around with joy.

Now… she didn’t care anymore. No matter what he did, whether

Harriet woke up earlier than Ellsworth. She quietly got herself

Barton asks that Mr. Townsend wait in the office for a bit; he’ll

be here in about fifteen minutes.”

Walking at the front of the group, Ellsworth was still as spirited

and outstanding as ever, standing out from the crowd.

Beside him, Kelsey kept close to Ellsworth, ncing around

Gxy Innovations as if searching for something.

Hearing Grayson’s words, Ellsworth responded with a faint “Mm” and followed Grayson upstairs.

His gaze was indifferent; he didn’t look around, nor did he ask

about Harriet.

As Grayson led the group upstairs, Harriet withdrew her gaze

and continued working.

Not long after, someone knocked on her office door.

Hearing the sound, Harriet said gently, “Come in.”

The door opened, and Harriet looked up to see Kelsey entering with a big smile, greeting her warmly, “Hara.”

Harriet replied calmly, “Kelsey.”

Kelsey walked into the office with a smile. As Harriet stood up to greet her, Kelsey said, “Hara, you don’t need to be so polite, no need to make tea or anything. I was just bored upstairs, so I

came to see you.”

Reginald was in theb that morning, and because he got stuck

in traffic due to an ident, he couldn’t make it back at the

agreed time.

Since Kelsey told her not to stand on ceremony, Harriet really

didn’t, and just sat back down.

At this point, Kelsey sat across from her at the desk and

chatted idly, “Reginald is quite proud. I asked him out several

times, but he always said he didn’t have time and turned me

down. It was only when Ells stepped in and brought me over

that Reginald agreed to meet.”

“Luckily, with Ells’ help, there’s finally a glimmer of hope for

working with your Gxy Innovations.”

At this, Kelsey smiled again and said, “I was originally going to

ask you to make the introduction, Hara, but since you just

joined Gxy Innovations, I was worried it might put you in a difficult position, so I didn’te to you.”

The reason she didn’t ask Harriet this time was becausest

time at the resort, when she asked Harriet to make the

introduction, Harriet refused.

Looking at Kelsey, Harriet smiled and said, “Ellsworth’s

influence is much greater than mine. With him, you can rest

assured, Kelsey.”
