The 100th Attempt to Win Her Back
Craving 101
Chapter101
Harriet truly admired Kelsey’s subtlety and social skills.
She was clearly showing off, making it clear that even if Harriet
didn’t help her make the connection, Ellsworth would personally
bring her over and handle things for her.
She was obviously unting her close rtionship with
Ellsworth, yet managed to make it sound pleasant, as if she
was being considerate of Harriet.
Seeing that Harriet showed no reaction to these words, as if
she and Ellsworth’s presence was like punching into soft
cotton, Kelsey smiled again and said, “That’s not true. Once
you’ve been at Gxy Innovations for a while, Hara, you’ll be a
star here.”
“I can tell Reginald thinks very highly of you.”
Harriet smiled again, “I’ll take that as a blessing from you, Kelsey.”
As the two chatted, Grayson knocked on Harriet’s office door
and said to Kelsey, “Ms. Graham, Mr. Barton is back.”
Chapter101
“Alright.” At Grayson’s reminder, Kelsey stood up and said softly
to Harriet, “Hara, I’ll head upstairs now.”
“Okay.” Watching the two of them leave, Harriet stared
expressionlessly at the door for a while before withdrawing her
gaze and returning to her work.
Reginald and Ellsworth’s meetingsted until after noon. While
the employees downstairs were having lunch, the meeting
upstairs was still ongoing.
Reginald was quite surprised by Ellsworth’s knowledge of
Robotics and Automation Engineering, as well as information
technology, so they got along well.
Reginald wasn’t one for formalities or social niceties. Even
when their conversation ran into lunchtime, he didn’t have the
admin department book a restaurant, but simply had boxed
lunches brought in, inviting Ellsworth and Kelsey to eat with
him.
Ellsworth and Noel didn’t mind at all; they could eat anything, fancy or in.
Kelsey took a couple of bites, then closed the box and tossed it
into the nearby trash can.
Chapter101
She couldn’t eat it, not even a little.
A little after one, when Reginald and Ellsworth had almost
finished talking, Grayson came to find Harriet again and said,
“Harriet, Mr. Barton and the others are heading to theb now.
Mr. Barton asked you to join them.”
“Alright, got it,” Harriet replied. “I’ll tidy up and head out.”
A few minutester, after Harriet had gotten ready, she met up
with Reginald and the others in the main office. Kelsey was still
all smiles, greeting her, “Hara.”
Harriet smiled in response.
At that moment, Noel greeted her respectfully, “Ms. Chavez.”
Harriet smiled and replied, “Noel.”
In the middle of the group, when Ellsworth saw Harriete
out, he asked her, “Have you eaten?”
Harriet replied gently, “Yes, I have.”
After a brief exchange of greetings, everyone headed.
downstairs together.
Kelsey hade in Ellsworth’s car, so when they went to the
Chapter101
Harriet, on the other hand, rode with Reginald and Grayson.
Over two hourster, as the car drove onto the ck asphalt
road by the sea, there were hardly any other vehicles in sight,
not a single person around.
Though it was called a tech park, that was a bit of an
understatement.
Because the area was so vast, with so fewpanies, and
surrounded by the sea, the scenery was especially beautiful.
Aside from two research institutes, Gxy Innovations was the
onlypany in the area, with at least twenty or thirty
kilometers between each of the three organizations.
Gxy Innovations was located right in the center.
After enjoying the scenery along the way, when they arrived at
theb, each vehicle was inspected before being allowed into
the park.
When the cars stopped in front of the office building, everyone
got out one after another.
Chapter101
Looking around at the scenery and the vast, quiet surroundings,
Kelsey smiled and said, “Mr. Barton, this is really a great ce.
Why don’t you work here?”
Reginald replied, “It’s too far from the city center, themute
is too long, so we set up an office downtown. But most of the
R&D staff spend their time here in theb.”
After hearing this, Kelsey took a closer look at the park. The buildings weren’t very tall, mostly three or four stories, but the
area they covered was huge, giving an impression of grandeur
and majesty.
This was Gxy Innovations, after all.
No otherpany had such strength; after all, Gxy
Innovations was a key high-techpany supported by the
state.
And in recent years, they had achieved great sess in guidance system positioning technology, propelling domestic guidance and remote operation forward by leaps and bounds.
Of course, these achievements were rarely publicized.
Reginald himself was also very low-key.
Chapter101
After a simple equipment scan, as the group entered the
administrative building, Reginald introduced to Ellsworth, “This
is just the experimental area of Gxy Innovations. The real
core technology is at the 949** unit. If we have the chance to
work together in the future, I can take Mr. Townsend and
everyone to see a livebat exercise.”
