Chapter180

Harriet calmly and politely exined the purpose of her call.

On the other end, Vicente’s voice grew even gentler. He said,

“Ms. Chavez, I haven’t had a chance to use the trial product

from Gxy Innovations yet. Once I do, if I have any questions

or suggestions, I’ll get in touch with you. Is that alright?”

Harriet replied, “Of course, Mr. Leach. Sorry to bother you.”

With that, the two of them ended the call.

But in the days that followed, Vicente never contacted Harriet-

no questions, no suggestions.

Harriet thought to herself that he was probably too busy with

work and hadn’t had time to try it out yet.

So, she didn’t bother him further.

As for Ellsworth, he went on a business trip right after receiving

the product. Knowing his situation, Harriet decided to leave it

for now and didn’t reach out.

Olivia, on the other hand, often gave Harriet feedback, saying

the robot was wonderful–not only could it chat with her, but it

was also very thoughtful, able to monitor her health at any time

and create the healthiest diet and exercise ns for her.

Most importantly, there was one time when she almost fell in

the living room, and the robot’s emergency airbag function

saved her, so she praised Harriet and her team to the skies.

Olivia’s satisfaction with the product gave Harriet new

inspiration. She added a process for the robot to proactively

operated through voice prompts, just like talking to a regr

person.

By the time she finished editing and saving the new program, it

was already past ten in the evening.

Harriet stretched, feeling the stiffness in her back and neck.

As she packed up and drove home, her mind was still full of

work, though she asionally thought about her new

apartment.

Kat had called her that afternoon to say the furniture had been

delivered, and that she had added a few more air purifiers. After

airing out for a few days, it would be just about ready.

Chapter180

Listening to the call, Harriet was deeply moved and joked that if

Kathie were a man, she would have married her long ago.

Kathie burst outughing and said she wouldn’t mind marrying

Harriet even now.

Thinking about these things as she got home, Harriet saw

Jacquelyning out of her room.

Seeing Harrieting home sote, Jacquelyn said with

concern, “Mrs. Townsend, you can’t keep working overtime like

this. Your health will suffer. You haven’t had dinner yet, have

you? I saved some food for you. I’ll go get it.”

Harriet smiled and said, “Alright, thank you, Jacquelyn.”

While Harriet was eating, Jacquelyn told her that Ellsworth had.

returned from his business trip and mentioned that he looked a

bit thinner these days.

Harriet just smiled and said nothing.

After finishing her meal and going upstairs, she thought

Ellsworth would already be resting, but as soon as she reached

the top, Ellsworth came out of the master bedroom holding a

cup of water.

The two ran into each other, and Harriet greeted him politely,

“You’re back.”

“Yeah,” Ellsworth replied coolly.

At that moment, Harriet remembered the robot and said to him,

“By the way, if you have any questions or suggestions about the trial product thepany gave you, you can send them to me.”

Ellsworth replied gently, “Alright.”

Then Ellsworth looked at her and said, “Harriet, you need to

adjust your working hours. If you keep this up, your health will

suffer.”

Harriet said, “I know. I’ll make adjustments.”

The two of them stood in the hallway, the yellow light casting a

warm glow, with Ellsworth blocking Harriet’s way.

A sudden silence fell between them, as if they hadn’t seen each

other in years.

Looking up at Ellsworth, Harriet tried to move to the left to

leave, but Ellsworth also stepped to the left.

As a result, they bumped into each other.

Chapter180

Seeing this, Harriet quickly moved to the right to make way for

him, but Ellsworth also moved to the right.

They bumped into each other again.

After bumping into each other twice, Harriet felt a bit helpless.

Finally, she suddenly looked up at Ellsworth and said, “By the

way, I called Mr. Hurley. He said the agreement is ready and has

already been given to you. I have time now, so I can sign it.”

When Harriet brought up the divorce, Ellsworth’s expression

darkened.

Lowering his gaze to look at Harriet for a moment, Ellsworth

said calmly, “The agreement is ready. I’m reviewing it on my

end.”

Then he added in the same calm tone, “Harriet, I suggest we

both think carefully about the divorce. My opinion is that if you

still insist on it by the end of the year, then we’ll go through with

the procedures.”
