The 100th Attempt to Win Her Back
Craving 205
Harriet argued her case calmly and confidently, while Ellsworth
lowered his head, his eyes coldly fixed on her.
He remained silent for a long time.
He found himself unable to refute what Harriet had just said.
After looking down at Harriet for a while, Ellsworth said coldly,
“Get some rest early.”
With that, he turned and walked toward the door, opened it, and
left.
Lying on the hospital bed, Harriet watched Ellsworth’s departing
figure, watched the door close, then put down the book in her
hand and turned her face toward the window.
It was already dark outside; neither stars nor the moon could be
seen.
She hadn’t intended to argue with Ellsworth, but hisment about her ‘growing wings‘ had truly embarrassed her.
She didn’t want to never stand up for herself, to let others
Chapter205
In fact, she didn’t really need to depend on Ellsworth.
After gazing silently out the window for a while, Harriet turned
back, picked up her book, and continued reading without a
word.
Meanwhile, outside in the hospital corridor.
Ellsworth hadn’t left; after closing the door, he sat slouched on
a bench outside.
His legs were casually crossed and stretched out, the back of
his head resting against the wall as he looked up at the ceiling,
then let out a long sigh.
After sitting there lost in thought for a while, he straightened up,
took out a cigarette and a lighter from his pocket, and lit one for
himself.
He had rarely seen Harriet argue with others before, and never
imagined that one day she would stand up to him like this.
He had seen so much goodness and gentleness in Harriet, had
grown used to her tolerance toward him.
Chapter205
Ellsworth had forgotten that Harriet was a normal person too,
that she could have a temper and emotions.

The next morning, Patsy came to bring Harriet breakfast.
Ellsworth was no longer in the corridor; he had already gone to
thepany.
Not long after Patsy left the hospital, Kelsey arrived.
She brought two boxes of bird’s nest, some fruit, and a bouquet
of fresh flowers.
Knocking on the door anding in, Kelsey greeted her with a
big smile: “Hara, are you feeling better?”
Harriet was tidying up her things. Hearing Kelsey’s voice, she
turned around and replied politely, “Kelsey.”
Seeing this, Kelsey quickly put down what she had brought and
came over to support Harriet: “Hara, you’re injured, why are you
still doing things yourself? You should rest.”
She added, “You want to tidy up here, right? Let me do it. You sit
down and rest.”
Chapter205
When it came to appearances and social skills, few could
surpass Kelsey.
No one wants to offend a smiling face.
In response to Kelsey’s politeness, Harriet said gently, “Thank
you.”
After helping Harriet tidy up the cab, Kelsey sat down on the
nearby sofa, looked at her warmly, and said, “I’ve wanted ito /ivisit
you for days, but Ells wouldn’t let me, afraid it would disturb
your rest.”
Harriet poured Kelsey a cup of tea: “It’s nothing serious. I’ll be
discharged after my injection tomorrow.”
Taking the tea from Harriet, Kelsey said with a sigh, “It seems
like everyone has a lot going ontely. My grandmother has
also been ill these past two days. Ells went to see herst
night.”
Harriet smiled lightly and said, “The elderly need to be taken
care of, especially as they get older.”
Hearing Harriet’s words, Kelsey’s attitude suddenly shifted. She
looked at Harriet cautiously and asked, “Hara, how far along are
you and Ells with the divorce proceedings?”
Chapter205
She quickly exined, “I’m not trying to rush you, it’s just that
my grandmother is getting old and not in good health. She
hopes to see Ells and me get married soon.”
With Kelsey’s words, Harriet immediately understood the real
reason for her visit.
Putting down the teapot, Harriet said calmly, “Kelsey, you
should ask Ellsworth about this. I’ve already signed the papers.
If you can, I hope you can help persuade Ellsworth as well.”
Harriet had long stopped caring about Kelsey and Ellsworth’s
affairs.
She was determined to separate from Ellsworth. If Kelsey could
help persuade him, she would be grateful.
Grateful that she could be freed from this unbearable marriage.
With Harriet making her position clear, Kelsey smiled and said,
“Alright, I’ll talk to Ellster. That way you won’t waste your
youth, and I’ll help you look for a suitable guy as well.”
Harriet replied, “You don’t need to worry about that, Kelsey. I
want to focus on my work right now.”
When Harriet mentioned work, Kelsey suddenly seemed to

remember something and said, “By the way, Hara, how’s the pay
and benefits at Gxy Innovations?”
