CHAPTER 49: MOUNTAIN RANGE

"Ancient Dragon Language...It is Hiera’s language..." Luke said calmly, and then began reading the writings one by one with a hint of excitement:

"The one from my lineage, the blessed one who reads this, I wrote this so that only you could read it, in case fate brings you here one day. My name is Andromeda Ariadne Hiera. I am the mother of the Ancient Dragons and the Ancient Phoenixes. I am the only one who watches over them, protects them, and commands them to work under my orders. If you are reading this and understand it, do not forget. From here on, these are the Tholien Mountains, created by my own magic. Cross the mountain range, pass the dragons and phoenixes, and finally climb to the top of One Mountain. Live and let live... and most importantly... never forget to love each one as if they were your own child."

When Luke finished reading these words, what surprised him was not his ancestor Andromeda’s love for the dragons and phoenixes.

[The Tholien Mountains I created with my magic].

These words were much heavier than he could have imagined.

Each of these massive mountain ranges exceeded three thousand metres in height. They were formed by the accumulation of hundreds of mountains, and the snow-covered rock fragments were so huge that they could be seen even before entering the forested area.

Even if it were a Hiera... Had these mountain ranges been created by a human?

Luke’s eyes widened as if they were about to pop out of their sockets. It was impossible for him not to be amazed. This was a talent that could rival the names of gods and goddesses. These mountain ranges seemed as though they had been pulled from the ground by someone’s hands and carried toward the sky.

Magic... Could it do something like this?

Luke had never heard of such a thing in his life.

Of course, there were more powerful people with different levels of magic and differences between those levels, but even twelfth-level magicians couldn’t do this.

Andromeda Ariadne Hiera... What kind of woman could have created such massive mountains, over three thousand metres high, on her own?

Luke took a deep breath; not only he, but Elsa herself was also surprised. She knew there was a possibility that the person she had thought of might have come, so she had given the order not to attack anyone.

From the moment Luke entered the forest, dozens of dark elves had already noticed him.

Elsa couldn’t even begin to describe how happy she was for making that decision.

She was now face to face with a Hiera—and especially with the person who had issued the order for no one to approach the Tholien Mountains, as her ancestors had commanded.

He was no ordinary Hiera, the ones that no longer able to awaken their blood or command dragons or phoenixes.

The person standing before her was none other than the very one who had created Andromeda Ariadne Hiera’s second incarnation, practically, of course.

"I will leave early tomorrow morning. Please ensure that the village remains quiet," Luke said calmly, then put the documents away in his inventory.

"I am taking back what belongs to me. I am very grateful for your help, your determination, and your willingness to carry out my orders without complaint," he added.

Elsa bowed her head respectfully and then left the room after saying, "As you command, great Hiera. We are honoured."

Luke walked over to the bed in the room and lay down directly. Dozens of thoughts were running through his mind, but strangely, it felt as if nothing was passing through it.

He was in shock.

A strange happiness enveloped his body.

Honour and perhaps... hope?

The possibility that Hiera could awaken his blood raised everything to an incredible level.

Ancient Dragons or Ancient Phoenixes were not immortal; no one was, perhaps just the gods and goddesses were, but every person on Earth would one day die.

Even the ’immortal’ elf race, which had grown weary of life.

Even Ancient Dragons and Ancient Phoenixes could face an attack capable of killing them, but... The mere possibility of having one under his command would instantly make Luke the most important person in the world.

It wouldn’t be a lie to call it a perfect defence mechanism.

With all these thoughts swirling in his mind, Luke felt as though his head was about to explode. He closed his eyes and, surprisingly, fell asleep within minutes despite not feeling the least bit tired.

When the morning sun shone through the clouds into the massive tree house, Luke had already woken up, changed his clothes, put on a suit-like garment, placed one of his usual fedora hats on his head, and finally put on his coat before leaving the massive tree house.

With each step he took, the joy and hope on the faces of the dark elves assigned to protect him became evident.

It seemed that Elsa hadn’t kept her mouth shut very well, as everyone seemed to have figured out who she was.

Luke finally managed to descend the stairs, which seemed to be mounted on the massive tree thanks to nature magic, one by one, and reached the village floor.

There were over a thousand dark elves around him, but the path ahead, leading to the Tholien Mountains, was not blocked. Each of them had opened the path Luke had the right to walk on with massive respect.

Luke began to walk, and with each step he took, the dark elves began to follow him. When he reached the other side of the forest in just thirty minutes, Luke finally turned around.

He saw the sight of over a thousand dark elves and Elsa standing at the front.

"Cross the Frozen Plains and the Ice River. Then reach the Great City, Selene. Tell them that I, Luke Ibn Alphonsine Hiera, sent you, and that as of today, all dark elves have returned to Hiera’s protection and command. What your kind has done will never be forgotten; it will be recorded in the history books of the Hiera lineage. Do not forget my words, Emma Frost. From now on, you will live for Luke Ibn Alphonsine Hiera, not Andromeda Ariadne Hiera."
