CHAPTER 115: CHAPTER 115- DIGNITARIES FROM THE KINGDOM OF AETHERION (2)

"You guessed right" The queen smiled "The other party is from the Kingdom of Aetherion, what’s more, they are a knight from that famous Black Gryffin legion. I wanted a high ranking knight beside him to at least show off the dignity of our kingdom".

So that was the case. Reinhardt chucked and performed a Knight’s salute "I am honoured that you chose me".

Nestled just beyond the lake of the royal palace was the Iris Mansion. As the name suggests, it was a beautiful mansion surrounded by whispering iris flowers and a tranquil pool. Most importantly, it was the place used for hosting important dignitaries from other kingdoms.

With the Queen leading, Reinhardt and Zerina followed two steps behind her.

.

.

Decked fully from head to toe in obsidian tempered steel, their armor gleamed with a muted black sheen. Etched majestically in their chest plate and pauldrons was the motif of a silver griffin.

The knights guarding the mansion were from the Black Gryffin Legion. The moment they saw the queen and her retinue, they performed the salute from their kingdom and led them in.

Inside, the servant brought by the dignitaries led them into a hall and served tea and snacks. While the Queen took her seat on the couch, Reinhardt and Zerina stood behind her mannerly.

A few minutes later, a blonde haried girl with loose hair cascading down to her shoulders entered.

Adorned in an elaborate, light lavender-colored gown and a low cut bodice that accentuated her figure. She possessed a well proportioned body, expressive purple eyes and a porcelain like skin.

On her head, she wore a silver tiara and a fitting necklace below, highlighting her royal status.

"Nice to meet you all, I’m Diana Maelis Aetherion" the woman escorted by knights, introduced herself and sat against the sofa to their own Queen.

"The princess of Aetherion has bloomed to become a beautiful woman" The latter spoke "I met your mother once, you definitely inherited her beauty. How is her health? Is she doing okay?"

The two woman with their own unique beauties conversed. Be it their natural aura or the inborn regalness they exuded, it made them extremely glamorous.

"Thank you for asking. Mother and Father are both doing okay. Although the demons at the border are still giving them headaches".

"Yeah, I can imagine, our borders are the same. That reminds me, I heard your kingdom invented a new weapon to try against the demons. Did the trial go successfully?" The queen crossed her legs.

"Un, it was a success. We call it the Aetherion Cannon. Currently, we are installing it in all of our fortresses." Diana folded her hands in front of her ample breasts.

The two royal women continued to converse. Soon, their discussion started getting serious. During this whole time, Reinhardt, Zerina, and the other knights all silently stood by their positions.

"So, why is the Princess of Aetherion all the way here to our faraway kingdom of Solaris?"

"Ah, about that, it is the reason I was sent here. You see.."

CLACK... at this moment, the door to the room was pushed open, and two people entered the scene. The one walking in front had a towering stature, probably as tall as Reinhardt. He had short black hair, broad shoulders, and decked out in obsidian black armor that seemed to be forged of some incredibly sturdy material.

The man’s presence immediately drew all the focus on him like a black hole.

He had a sharp, chiselled face with a strong jawline and light stubble.

Diana stood up and introduced, "This is my fiancé..."

For Reinhardt, the introduction was unnecessary as he already knew from his memories who the man was.

Commander of one of the extremely famous knight orders across the world, one whose valour and legendary feats were even sung by bards of their kingdom. The man who was said to have once fought the Eighth Heavenly King to a standstill alone.

A legendary level 10 knight just like him. Vaerion Duskclaw.

The person walking behind him with a presence that did not allow even Vaerion to overshadow them, the Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Knights.

The two who entered were the pillars of the Order of the Black Griffin Legion.

"Vaerion, this person here is the..."

"Yeah, I know. She is the Queen of Solaris, the woman who is said to be bestowed with so much beauty and grace that she can captivate the hearts of all men."

After entering, Vaerion performed a knight’s salute and sat down next to the princess. As they were already engaged, it was not disrespectful.

"As I thought, I felt the presence of a powerful knight from the mansion. Who knew, the man they call the knights among knights, the Divine Paladin himself, would visit us?"

From start to finish, all of Vaerion’s attention was on the tall, golden haired knight silently standing behind the Queen.

"Divine Paladin?! Do you mean that Reinhardt Arcknight, who is said to have fought the Seventh Heavenly King alone and returned alive?"

Diana’s pretty purple eyes widened as she glanced at the knight standing behind the Solaris’ queen. She had noticed from quite early that the knight tagging along with the queen wasn’t ordinary, as none of the knights she brought with her came even close to his feet in terms of presence.

He was standing out like a golden sheep among this lot. Who knew he was actually the Divine Paladin?

If the valor and feats of the one they call the Dark Knight had reached Solaris, then the feats of the one they called Divine Paladin reached all the way to their Kingdom of Aetherion.

The latter’s feat just like her fiancé, was nothing short of legendary, a hero among men, a level 10 God’s child.

"Fufu... They are talking about you, my knight." The queen smiled alluringly, passing the hot potato of conversation towards him.

SIGH... Reinhardt sighed inwardly, now he knew why she chose him.
