CHAPTER 127: CHAPTER 127- ZERINA VS KAELITH (3)
Countless Black Hollow Beams targeted the incoming ball of current.
"It is useless".
On top of the Gryffin, Kaelith extended her hand. Immediately, several weapons manifested around her and shot forward, their target the purple beams.
The vice commander neutralised Zerina’s attack with her own. The gryffin descended, bringing along a storm of lightning.
BOOOM... the moment the attack landed, the land for dozens of meters was immediately torn asunder with lightning devastating everything.
In the distance, the walls of the coliseum collapsed with cracks running down everywhere. Their battle had long surpassed the confines of the coliseum, and the entire land beyond was now their battlefield.
SPARK... SPARK... after the dust and lightning settled, Kaelith looked around only to furrow her brows. The attack earlier was a wide area attack. Even if her opponent dodged it, she would be hit by the indiscriminate lightning that was discharged all around.
So why was she still standing there looking fine? The dark elf’s eyes at his moment landed on her body and became solemn.
"That [Teravoltaic Charge] was quite something. If I did not know about it earlier, I would have been seriously injured."
Zerina smiled, her figure partially transparent. Immediately afterwards, she slammed her hands covered in purple black hollow light on the ground. This sent forth hollow veins crawling outwards towards the surroundings.
At the same time, a giant purple black panther appeared in the area for a second before disappearing along with Zerina.
"Stealth?" Kaelith muttered in surprise. The next second, she looked around in caution.
Seconds ticked by, finally, her opponent made their move. They appeared right behind her. The knight and the mount acted as if a single mind; immediately, they turned around and slashed.
Claws clashed against claws, sending forth ripples through the air that cut anything they touched.
The giant panther’s attack was stopped, and it dissipated. However, not before accomplishing what it came out to do.
"Huh?" Suddenly, the vice commander felt her balance go awry, and she couldn’t help but stumble back, an act that hadn’t happened since she first partnered up with her mount.
What was going on?
Looking around, she finally understood the reason behind her losing her footing. At this moment, her gryffin was levitating on the ground with its limbs tossing around, trying to get a sense of its balance.
The more it struggled, the more it lost its equilibrium until it was upside down.
"What?"
Unable to keep her shock contained, she uttered out loudly. This was the first time she was almost about to be flung away from her own mount. Had she not grabbed the reins tightly, it would have been the outcome, no doubt.
Her opponent’s attack finally made her break her composure and take a deep look at the Cienthrope she was fighting.
.
Outside the mirror, Reinhardt observed the ensuing battle and smiled. He could tell what the vice commander of the Black Gryffin Legion was feeling right now. Her own attacks were all being read through while the other party used skills and tactics that she had never seen before.
It was no wonder that she would be baffled. After all, even Reinahrdt was surprised when Zerina used that skill on him.
[Nightfall Prowl – Stalking Predator Field]. A wide area, control type skill. Within the circular zone marked by the hollow viens, Zerina becomes able to use strenght and gains a massive speed boost inside the field.
Inside that field, a giant panther phantom will materialise in intervals, drastically increasing the strength of her attacks. Furthermore, and what makes this skill so annoying was its third effect.
When coming out of stealth, her first attack inverts the target’s gravity, lifting them upward helplessly. It was due to this third attack that the Vice Commander and her Mount were in such a helpless state.
"Now then, that Dark Elf should be getting pretty serious by now".
.
Inside the mirror, after inverting her opponent’s gravity, she came rushing for her second attack.
[Black Hollow Fangs], the hollow lights warped around her arms and legs, forming long sharp claws that glimmered with a devastating sharpness.
At the same time Zerina unleashed her attacks, Kaelith who finally regained her footing, ran across the body of the gryffin, ignoring the laws of gravity, and intercepted the panther woman’s attack.
Blade and claws clashed, generating sparks and shockwaves that swept off what was remaining of the coliseum.
Her attack blocked, Zerina backed off while her opponent fell back towards her mount. She was told that her opponent was a master of aerial battle and would soon recover her sense of balance.
However, this was still too fast. Though she cannot complain since Reinhardt did not even flinch, even while hanging upside down and dodged every attack of hers with perfect control.
She tried attacking the Gryffin, but the vice commander would always intercept her attacks. While the other party was not as fast as her inside this domain, given her experience and level, she could basically predict where she would attack next.
"I see, so this is what is causing the gravity to invert in itself. I admit that your skills are quite annoying. However, you have run out of time."
From her position on top of the gryffin, Kaelith announced. The fact that she initiated a conversation showed her respect for an opponent.
"Velgrys FLY!!"
On her command, the griffin opened its eyes wide and flapped its wings so hard that a typhoon was created in its wake.
The typhoon became bigger and stronger with each flap, peeling away the veins latching onto the ground. It was due to this very thing that they were in this state.
The typhoon quickly took out the purple black veins, restoring the laws of the area back to normal.
"Now then, its our turn to attack" The Gryffin took flight while she used her skill, creating blades to narrow down the area where her enemy could run off.
SCREE... the gryffin descended, body leaned back, and head outstretched, it was planning on using its sharp beak to tear apart its opponent.
