The Alpha King And His Omega
Chapter 32 - 032
CHAPTER 32: 032
While he got ready before they left, Tristan’s gaze kept drifting to the door expecting the Alpha to walk in but that never happened, and he almost could not hide his disappointment.
"We would grab some breakfast first before we start our shopping spree, then to a spa"
"Why are we not eating here?" Tristan asked in confusion and turned to her for some explanation.
Mariah looked blankly for a few seconds before she could come up with a response.
"He might not let us go if we stay for breakfast" She replied smiling.
Whereas the real reason they weren’t staying for breakfast is because he might notice what’s amiss while they eat.
Tristan nodded and let it go.
But he had wanted to see the Alpha, although he wasn’t still ready to talk to him or face him but he wanted to just set his eyes on him.
"Is Lana not coming with us?" Tristan asked as they walked towards the car prepared for them with the bodyguard trailing behind.
"Who is Lana?"
"My–
"Wait, is that your maid?"
"Yes". Tristan nodded and looked behind them at the entrance of the pack house to see if she was coming but Mariah dismissed the thought.
"We would go without her".
She replied and he nodded again in understanding.
Mariah looked back at him as he just agreed with everything she had been saying. No intention to convince her or desire to have things his way.
"It must sucks to be an Omega" She thought soberly.
They got to a coffee shop across a major mall after driving for over an hour.
They went inside the coffee shop while the bodyguard remained outside, with his eyes and ears peeled for anything unusual.
They were half way done with their meal when a familiar voice made Tristan look sharply to the side.
He gasped softly as he recognised her.
"Do you know her?" Mariah asked as they both watched an Omega yell at an Alpha that stood over two feet taller than her.
"Nita?" Tristan called instead, responding to the question Mariah asked and as if responding to Mariah’s question, Nita’s head whipped in their direction.
Nita frown loosened up and her face broke into a wide smile.
"Tristan!" She screamed in excitement and hurried to their table to smother him in a hug. After abandoning the person she was screaming at.
Tristan hugged her back but she was suddenly yanked away from him.
"What!" Nita yelled as she dangled from the hands of the bodyguard.
"She is my friend, let her go!" Tristan hurried to say and hold out his arms around her.
The bodyguard finally let go after a cue from Mariah.
She was looking at their exchange with levelled eyes and a cocked brow.
Surely Omegas don’t get mated to each other but to her belief the possibility of it happening isn’t zero.
"Who are these people?" Nita asked in a whisper to Tristan after she was released from the bodyguard hold.
She had only glared at the bodyguard for a few but she was staring unblinking at Mariah.
She hasn’t met her before but she found her strangely familiar and given the fact that she is an Alpha, her suspicion grew and she could not stop the thoughts that materialised into her mind.
"Let’s hurry up, we have a long day ahead". Mariah reminded Tristan but Nita scoffed at her words.
"You are not leaving with him until I know who you are" Nita said boldly, her eyes staring at Mariah in defiance.
"Stop" Tristan whispered back to her but Mariah only chuckled as she couldn’t believe an Omega was this bold and outspoken.
"And if I don’t tell you?" Mariah taunted.
She was beginning to find her intriguing. Her Brown hair, sea moss eyes gave her a delicate look like every other Omegas but she doesn’t sound delicate, which is what she likes.
"I will not let him leave with you" Nita replied through gritted teeth.
And that made Mariah erupted into a wild laughter.
"They are my friends too," Tristan explained to Nita before she would continue to say things she didn’t mean and get Mariah angry.
"From where?
I’m the only friend I know you have. It’s fine if you have other friends but I was just trying to make sure you are alright" Nita replied in a worried tone.
"She is that Alpha’s sister and we came to shop at that mall" Tristan explained quickly in a low voice, finding it hard to say Alpha Mitch’s name.
"Oh, that Alpha?!
He came to my house a few weeks ago looking for you too. What happened?"
Tristan’s expression dropped as she spoke like everyone else did a few days ago.
"So he really searched for me?"
Tristan thought sadly, if it was in the past he would have been happy he searched for him but now he doesn’t even know how he felt towards the Alpha anymore.
"Hurry, we need to leave soon" Mariah reminded Tristan because he was picking at his food and barely has a bite.
"And you are free to join us" Mariah said to Nita but she only glare at her like she was a past enemy.
Mariah was about to say something when her phone rang loudly and she could not pick the call when the bodyguard hurried towards them with an alarmed look on his face.
He didn’t get to say what was wrong when Alpha Mitch emerged from behind him with an emotionless expression on his face.
Mariah’s eyes widen in surprise, how come he was able to come here so soon.
She wanted to ask but Alpha Mitch already has all of his attention on Tristan.
He had woken up a while ago and immediately went to meet to the Omega but here he was.
"I said you shouldn’t take him out". Alpha Mitch turned to Mariah after he saw that Tristan was alright.
"We came a bodyguard" She replied and tried not to argue with him even when she had a million things she wants to say to him.
Tristan however, sat stiffly beside Nita with his gaze to the ground.
The sight of the Alpha remind him of everything he said and he wanted to forget everything as soon as possible.
"We will return to the pack house now" Alpha Mitch ordered, loud enough for everyone to hear.
They all silently agreed until a soft response came.
"No" Tristan said in a shaky voice.
