The Alpha King And His Omega
Chapter 53 - 053
CHAPTER 53: 053
Tristan was soon regretting his decision as he realised he had no money but there was no turning back.
He went to the only place he knew he could.
He stood outside her door after knocking a few times.
She wasn’t picking her call so he was left with no choice but to knock.
Even if they haven’t seen each other for months, he knew she would never let him down.
After a few minutes the door opened and Nita’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at Tristan.
"You?!" She exclaimed before rushing to him for a hug.
"Where have you been?
It’s been months!" She asked after pulling away.
"Can I come in?" He asked, gesturing towards the opened door.
"Of course but...
She trailed off.
He was about to ask why but a head popped out of the door way behind her.
"What’s taking long?" The person asked in a grumpy voice and Tristan gasped in shock as he stared at the face of the Alpha.
He looked from him to Nita and she facepalmed.
"Oh it’s you?!
What are you doing here?" The Alpha asked casually.
Tristan ignored his question as bad memories surfaced in his mind at the sight of the Alpha.
The Alpha had been one of the reasons for the problem he was facing.
But his main confusion was how his best friend became this close to the Alpha.
"Come inside" Nita finally said and pulled him inside before shutting the door.
Tristan waited for an explanation as he noticed the strange way they were acting towards each other.
"Let’s go inside" she said and gestured to her room.
"So, what happened? Why is he here?" Tristan asked once they were in the room.
"I also do not know why!" Nita said in frustration. She sighed heavily and sat down on the bed.
"After that night, after that party, I woke up in his house, in his fucking house!.
And do you know what happened? Since then he had stuck to me like a second skin, he won’t let me get out of his sight. He’s disgusting!"
Tristan Mouth opened slightly. In disbelief, he could not phantom how everything came to be like that, but he could not also think about who has the biggest problem among the two of them.
For now, he is stranded, he’s doomed, and he’s back to how he started.
No money, no where to stay, and he cannot even imagine going back to his parents’ house.
His stepfather would be there and waiting to strangle him to death. And then he had also cut everything off with Alpha Mitch.
Thinking about everything that happened made him sad again.
Thinking about his angry face and how he threw him out of the pack house and was embarrassed in front of everyone watching made him sad again but he was determined not to cry.
He would not let everything that happened get to his heart.
Crying will only make him more sad. He wasn’t going to cry. He only needed to think now. Thinking for a solution but that’s just as hard as not crying.
She turned to him and changed the subject of their discussion.
"So tell me, what happened with the Alpha? Why are you...
She trailed off, her eyes going to his bag
"Is this yours?" She exclaimed pointing at the bag he held.
"I do not even know how to start. Honestly, I ended things with him". He replied softly, unable to say the words out loud because It was like waking up from a dream that he could not believe would be real.
"What? Nita screamed in disbelief, she could not believe her ears.
"You left your Alpha? And he let you go? Just like that? Tell me, what happened, explain to me?" she asked hysterically.
"I don’t know how to explain. That night at Alpha Raul’s place, he came as usual but things got ugly and I sustained a fatal injury. We spent the last three months apart and I have been thinking.
I can’t keep bringing him more trouble than peace. Remember I said he believed I’m his weakness?
"So it’s better for us to stay apart and out of each other’s lives" Tristan replied with a forced smile.
Tears burned at the back of his eyes but he blinked them away rapidly. He was determined not to cry and stayed committed to that decision.
"And he didn’t try to stop you?" Nita asked, her voice softening.
What was even more surprising to her was the fact that he wasn’t crying. In the past, Tristan would have cried his heart out.
She was a little bit glad for that nevertheless. At least it wasn’t as it was in the past.
"I do not want him to stop me".
Tristan replied in a determined tone and looked at Nita.
"So, what are you going to do now?
Do you want to stay here with me?" she asked eagerly.
"You know that you missed the last semester examination, but that’s not going to be an issue. We can work our way around that, but let me get this man out of this place so we can talk better. Just don’t forget you can always rely on me, okay? Nita said with a smile and Tristan nodded slowly.
Once alone in the room. Tristan lay down on the bed and looked blankly ahead. His mind wandered off to the Alpha.
His heart aches just thinking about him, and still cannot come to terms with the reality of their separation. It was as if any moment from now he would storm through the door and drag him back to the packhouse. But he knew that is only in the past, he would no longer do that again.
Come out now, he’s gone," Nita yelled from the living room.
Tristan rose off from the bed and went to join her.
"Yeah, this is my life now," he thought solemnly.
At least now, things can get back on track and he can think for himself. He would no longer be dragged around by others. He would do what he needed to do.
He will no longer be someone’s weakness or bring others pain, he will only be responsible for himself and that is what he truly wants.
"Come, come, come quick, come here. Let me ask you something!" Nita yelled from the living room.
What is it? Tristan asked.
"I realize that you have been worried about being a weakness to him recently, although before you just wanted to get away from him, so I’m wondering, do you like him?"
Tristan went silent and could not say anything.
"I mean, he is an Alpha King and rules over half of this country. He is strong enough for both of you, so why do you care if you’re strong enough for him? She narrows her eyes at him.
"Do I like him?" Tristan echoed in his mind as his mind went into a frenzy.
