CHAPTER 59: 059

Alpha Mitch had always avoided social gatherings like this ever since he became the Alpha king and had always sent Gale to represent him but today’s party was in his territory so he couldn’t ignore it even though he despised everything about it.

Adriana linked her arm through his as they came out of the car. The expression on his face was cold and unreadable, he barely showed any reaction as other Alphas bowed to him in respect.

He was shown to his seat and was about to settle down when a familiar scent hit his nostrils.

He looked around swiftly, his senses sharp and calculative until his eyes landed on the Omega.

Just some distance away, his eyebrows dipped and he became agitated.

"Let’s sit" Adriana reminded him and he sat down without taking his eyes off the Omega.

Adriana traced his gaze as she hid her anger at his lack of concentration on her.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she noticed who it was.

"How the fuck is that scrawny Omega here?!"

She thought in disbelief.

She turned to the side and almost flinched as she noticed the darkened eyes of the Alpha King.

Jealousy twisted her inside and she cursed the Omega multiple times in her mind.

"Mitch" Adriana drawled out as the Alpha King had his eyes glued to the door where the Omega had disappeared.

It would be more embarrassing to her if he stood up and went after him and she had no doubt he could do such.

But she managed to distract him.

"Dad is also coming tonight, let’s greet him together" Adriana said in a cheerful voice contrary to the anger that boiled in her mind.

Ever since she learnt that the Alpha had thrown his Omega out, she had slowly worked her way back into his life.

Even if he does not trust or like her like he did in the past, she was satisfied with him not asking her to leave. She knew it would be hard to win the Alpha King over again.

And she had convinced her father to be cohort. When arrives later, he would ask the Alpha about their marriage.

She was very eager for it.

"I genuinely thought you hate parties, what are you doing here?" An amused voice said, suddenly bringing both of them out of their thoughts.

Alpha Mitch looked at Alpha Raul’s face with little interest but his brows raised in suspicion as saw the Omega standing beside him.

Nita’s eyes widened and she subconsciously hid her face behind Alpha Raul.

She screamed internally in horror.

It was enough that she doesn’t want to be here but spending it in the presence of two Alpha Kings was devastating and exhausting. She wouldn’t have expected the Alpha King to bring to a place like this.

"Why are you here?" Alpha Mitch asked the second Alpha King but he only grinned and sat down without answering his question. Although the tension between the two of them was obvious, neither of them would cause a scene in a place like this.

Their last departure had been abrupt and Alpha Mitch had warned him to not come into his territory till further notice.

"Calm down, I’m here because of this event and my beautiful Omega" he replied and hooked an arm around Nita’s waist.

Despite the grin on his face, his eyes became cold as they traveled to Adriana’s face.

Just a few weeks ago she had been in his bed and now she was back to the other Alpha King.

Adriana avoided his gaze, and turned away from him.

She knew her games and was playing it well but she hadn’t expected them to be together like this. She hoped silently that Alpha Raul wouldn’t reveal their relationship. Or their past entanglements.

"Let’s sit down" Nita tugged on Alpha Raul’s arm as her foot hurt in the heels she wore.

Alpha Mitch looked away from them and looked ahead towards the door at the far end of the hall, he was constantly looking at his wristwatch.

"Why isn’t he back yet?!" He thought angrily but someone distracted him.

"I think it is shitty that you abandon the someone that took a poisoned bullet for you for someone who wouldn’t hesitate to betray you". Alpha Raul said and took a sip out of the glass of wine placed before him.

Being Alpha Kings their seats were being placed together but around different tables.

Three of them turned to look sharply at Alpha Raul after the bombshell he just dropped.

"A poisoned bullet?" Nita spoke up in shock.

She waited for an answer but got none.

However, Adriana fidget in her seat. She had thought Alpha Raul won’t speak up or try to irate Alpha Mitch but the playful grin on his face says otherwise.

She glared at him from beside Alpha Mitch, hoping he would stop talking and not spill her secret.

"What poison bullet?" Nita whispered to the Alpha King beside as she grew agitated.

She had thought Tristan had merely got injured like he had said but she wasn’t expecting such a scary detail.

"It was just an accident", he replied with a reassuring smile but Nita was not convinced.

"Oh, what a pleasant surprise. It seems the Omega decided to make a presence himself" Alpha Raul said in a loud cocky voice.

None of them had an opportunity to respond to him and they could only express themselves differently as the music went from soft to loud.

Nita watched Tristan walk hand in hand with Trevor with a proud look, they both had no idea they were coming to the same place but she was happy.

She glanced at the Alpha King Mitch and was satisfied to see the code expressions and his face.

"Now,this is what I’m talking about".

she thought gleefully.

Alpha Mitch’s gaze zeroed in on Trevor and Tristan holding ends, he was just a step away from going there. But he held himself back as you remember the Omega was the one that wanted to leave.
