CHAPTER 60: 060

Tristian gradually got rid of his fear while in the restroom, he reminded himself several times that things had ended between him and the Alpha.

So he has no reason to get scared of meeting him again. Although he wasn’t really sure if he could face the Alpha now.

"Are you sure you’re okay now?"

Trevor asked as he held his hand while they walked back into the banquet hall.

Tristan nodded and let him hold him, and he made an attempt to flash him a reassuring smile.

The moment they stepped back into the hall, Tristan felt his body go cold. It took him only a few seconds to locate the Alpha at a far distance surrounded by others, probably friends and other Alphas.

Tristian gaze traveled to Adriana seated beside the alpha smiling, she was dressed in an extravagant black dress and her breasts were on display as usual.

He swallowed with difficulty as he realized they look good together. Unlike him beside the Alpha.

His already bad mood went further down.

A strong Alpha deserves a strong partner

He murmured under his breath.

Sometimes passed, Tristan tried his best not to look over at him and those surrounding him.

And he did a good job at that because he missed the pair of black eyes that constantly stared intensely at him as if trying to drill a hole at the back of his head.

Alpha Mitch’s mood visibly got worse in less than an hour. He just couldn’t take it. His fist remained clenched as he watched the omega in the presence of another Alpha.

Nita slowly started enjoying seeing Alpha Mitch get agitated in his seat, she smiled to herself.

"He is jealous!" She murmured under breath with a glint in her eyes.

"Do you have a hand in that?" Alpha Raul whispered to her. He could already connect the dots.

He wasn’t interested in whatever it is, but he wanted to be in the clear in case Alpha Mitch later found out about it and he needed to protect her.

Because it was obvious, the other Alpha King wasn’t done the Omega yet.

"What do you mean?" Nita asked, blinking innocently at him.

"Did you set your Omega friend with that Alpha?" Alpha Raul asked again.

"Why would I do that? He is pretty, many Alphas want him. I don’t need to interfere" She replied smugly and stared squarely at him.

"So do you Alpha have many Alphas flocking around you too?"

Nita went silent with the sudden turn of the conversation and she couldn’t give a response.

"Since you are also pretty, maybe you do. Don’t let me see any Alpha with you, I would deal with him and make you watch". Alpha Raul warned in a low tone.

His eyes smiled at her as she nervously looked away from him.

Nita silently cursed him in her heart, what had she done to deserve this.

She wished she never met the Alpha King but that was just a wish and it was far from her reality.

"Would you like to dance?" Trevor whispered in Tristan’s ear as the music was switched and everyone was standing up with their partners to the dance floor like a ball party.

"I don’t know how to dance," Tristan replied, partially lying. He had learnt how to dance last year because Nita was also doing it. He hadn’t really had any use for it but he knew how to. At least to an extent.

"I can teach you," Trevor said with a smile, he was waiting eagerly for him to agree.

Being a people pleaser, Tristan slowly nodded and allowed him to lead him to the dance floor which was gradually getting filled with couples.

Tristan’s breath hitched as Trevor put a hand on his waist and brought him closer. His other hand held one of his.

"Put your other hand on my shoulder" Trevor instructed with a smile.

Tristan did as he was asked and he let him lead the dance.

Their bodies frequently brushed against each other and the Alpha’s breath fanned his face as he talked while they danced.

A few minutes later, the music was changed to a slower one. Many returned to their seats and a few remained.

Tristan let out a soft gasp as Trevor circled both arms around him and suddenly nestled his nose in the crook of his neck.

Tristan’s panic suddenly grew as he knew a lot of people were watching them as only few of them remained on the dancefloor and there was no doubt the Alpha King was seeing them.

"Trevor, let’s return to our seat" Tristan gently tapped him on the shoulder and tried to push him away.

Trevor raised his head and stared into his eyes and Tristan noticed his eyes were darker.

"Let’s dance a little longer," Trevor replied with a smile. It was as if it was just the two of them left in the whole world, at this point he wasn’t scared or hesitating to let the Omega know how he felt about him.

He had gotten carried away and took a sniff of the Omega scent. It was almost intoxicating, but he was determined to maintain his composure and not ruin it like he did the last time.

Trevor’s hands were still around Tristan and their faces were close to each other when someone suddenly ripped them apart.

A few gasps sounded loudly and the music stopped.

Tristan didn’t have enough time to process what was happening before he was yanked through a doorway.

He panicked as Alpha Mitch threw him inside a room after they got away from the banquet hall.

He moved back in fear as the Alpha King stood with a heaving chest and black eyes.

Everything happened in a flash that he had not seen him approach them.

Alpha Mitch had tried his best to remain level headed but he was angry beyond words.

How can he shamelessly dance in public with another Alpha after ending things with him.

"Who the hell is that?" Alpha Mitch asked in a shaky voice.

Tristan stared at him without a word, he was rigid with fear. He had not witnessed the Alpha in such anger before.

"Who the hell is he?!" Alpha Mitch barked at him again.

Tristan backed away from him.

"He is my friend" he replied but his voice was a trembling mess.

A sudden knock sounded on the door and Tristan looked at it eagerly. Thankful for an intervention, maybe a saviour because the Alpha looked ready to kill him.

"Were you in a relationship with him while you were with me?" Alpha Mitch asked suddenly, his eyes narrowing.

Tristan shook his head rapidly.

"Is that why you wanted to leave?" Alpha Mitch asked in a low voice ridden with pain.

These past weeks had been the hardest since he knew the Omega. It wasn’t that hard when they were even apart but to know he failed to win his heart was excruciating. And he didn’t want to use force, he was way above that.

That’s why it was difficult for him to turn a blind eye after seeing them together today.

"He is just a friend". Tristan repeated, scared the Alpha might do something irrational.

The knock on the door didn’t stop. Outside the door, Nita panicked as everything took a drastic turn. She and several others present wouldn’t have expected the Alpha King to disrupt the party because of an Omega.

"He won’t kill him right?" Nita asked Alpha King Raul as they waited for the door to open.

"That is not unusual, I would have killed him too if it was me". Alpha Raul replied and fear sent cold through Nita’s body.

She should have known that Alpha Kings were way worse than a regular Alpha. Getting them jealous wouldn’t end well or do any good at all.

Trevor appeared in the hallway and Nita turned around to see a bewildered look on his face.

He looked shaken but was also angry although unable to express himself as he realised it was the strongest Alpha King that was his opponent.

"Kid, how did you get involved with that Omega?.

I remembered warning you at that party." Alpha Raul asked him, slightly mocking and curious.

Trevor didn’t reply and only stared at the Alpha King. Seeing Nita beside him, he had a wild guess, he could also vaguely remember his face but not properly. He was drunk that day.

"Why?" Trevor replied, his brows furrowed. His protective side was fully on and suppressed anger was making him restless.

"You do not answer a question with a question, you moron!" Alpha Raul barked and moved closer to him.

"No!" Nita stood between them in panic.

"Please go back, Tristan would be fine. Okay?" Nita assured him in an urgent voice and he turned around with his fist clenched.

"How sure are you that he would be fine?" Alpha Raul asked with a chuckle and her mind raced again with different possibilities. She looked at the door in fear and hurried to bang on it with urgency.

This night was engraved on her mind that the Alpha Kings are the worst to meddle with. And she had only wanted him to move on and not fall into more trouble.
