CHAPTER 63: 063

Tristan stared at the white envelope he stretched forward without any intention of accepting it.

He looked back at him, without doubt he could tell he was an Alpha.

His face wasn’t particularly handsome, but he exuded the kind of coldness only Alpha could. His black jacket and low haircut gave Tristan a bad intuition.

Nita beside him carefully accepted the envelope, Boston hesitated a little before letting it go.

"Boston from where?" She asked as she struggled with the envelope.

"I was sent by the Alpha" Boston replied, a little annoyed that Tristan was basically ignoring him.

He had been very angry to be sent here in the first place to guard an ordinary Omega but seeing him in person he definitely understood the way the Alpha felt. The Omega with long hair and feminine features would make any Alpha go crazy. But seeing how he was being treated was a blow to his pride as an Alpha.

"Which Alpha?" Tristan finally asked.

That made Boston frowned, there was more than just one Alpha?.

He thought but didn’t show his surprise.

"Alpha King Mitch" he enunciated with pride and a little bit of anger.

Tristan turned to Nita and the envelope she was about to rip apart.

"It’s him!"

He thought.

Pushing Nita back into the apartment, he shut the door on Boston’s face.

"Why?

What happened?" Nita whined as she almost lost her footing.

"Didn’t you hear him?

That was from Alpha Mitch and why are you trying to open it?.

I should return it back to him" Tristan hurried to take the envelope out of her hand.

"Wait!

Do you really think he would let you go?!

And we don’t even know what’s inside" Nita reasoned and Tristan walked away to get a scissors to open the tightly sealed envelope.

After cutting it open, two things fell out.

One was a credit card and a neatly folded paper.

Nita picked up the card, and Tristan picked up the paper.

He unfolded it with a frown, inside the paper was a long letter in an incredible penmanship. Tristan smiled softly at how good it was even without reading the content.

"Wow, it seems you have gotten a love letter. Let me quickly check if Boston is still waiting outside". Nita said and left for the door.

She opened slightly and saw that he was still waiting, she opened it widely.

"Why are you still...waiting?" Nita asked slowly, unsure of what to say to the cold looking man.

She would have mistook him for a hitman if he hadn’t said who had sent him.

Boston looked blankly ahead, he found Nita very annoying but she was not his concern so he simply kept quiet.

Being ignored, Nita scoffed and shut the door once more.

"He is still outside" Nita said as she shut the door and turned around to see Tristan sitting with a forlorn look on his face.

"What is it?".

"Do you think it’s quite immature for me to have left?" Tristan said softly, trialling off.

"I mean, people go through tough patches. Maybe I shouldn’t have ruined things by insisting to leave". He continued and turned to her.

"What is inside the letter?

What did he say?" Nita asked, a little worried and curious. This was the first time he was regretting his decision.

She would support him in whatever he decided to do but she knew he wasn’t fickle-minded.

He has never been.

"He simply apologized for what happened last night. And asked me to take Boston anywhere with me, and to use the credit card for whatever I need". He replied with a smile but tears had pooled in his eyes.

"You...

You don’t seem to be happy with that".

Nita pointed out trying to understand him as she sees nothing wrong with free money to spend and probably a bodyguard although it would make things hard for them and he won’t be able to forget him that way.

Instead of replying to her, Tristan went to the door instead.

He stood in front of Boston with folded arms.

"This is where I live, please return to him that I have no need for a bodyguard." Tristan said to him, trying his best to sound cold.

"You do not have to worry about me. Just call me before you leave the house. I would always be close by". Boston replied.

Tristan frowned as he watched him walk away, his footsteps soundless and quick.

"Wow, I never thought that cold Alpha would write these heartwarming words" Nita said from inside the house and Tristan looked back to see her reading the letter.

His eyes widened as he hurriedly tried to snatch the piece of paper out of her hand.

"Wait! I’m done!" she yelled as she was tackled to the ground.

She let out a loud giggle as he managed to over power her and took the paper out of her hand.

Both of them remained seated on the floor and laughed at how they just struggled with each other for a piece of paper.

"I don’t want you regretting your decision, it’s a good thing to want to do better for yourself.

I mean since you’ve been here nothing bad has happened.

I was shocked yesterday to find out you even took a bullet for him." Nita said suddenly in a sober tone.

The day had begun rather quite sadly for him with his father showing up but now they have a reason to laugh.

"Well, you could say it was a rush of adrenaline. I have no idea how it happened but it hurts a lot. I thought I was going to die" Tristan confessed.

Nita listened to him with rapt attention but she could not tell him that he had been very lucky to survive it.

She would have gone mad if he had died. They might be just friends, their bond is stronger than a mated pair’s.

"What will you do about your father?" Nita asked, drawing his attention to another problem they need a fast solution to.

"I would simply ask Boston to deal with him". He replied, and Nita’s mouth opened in disbelief.
