CHAPTER 78: 078

After dropping the call, Nita glared at the Alpha that stood in front of her with a satisfied grin.

"I do not want to go over there, why are you forcing me?

I would be a third wheel around the two of them!" Nita complained sadly.

"It would be just for a while, don’t get too mad. I have to resort to this since that mutt got rid of all my spies". He replied with a darken expression and took a long drag of his cigarette.

"Then send more spies if you want, why me?"

"That’s why I’m sending you. You would be my little spy". He replied and chuckled.

Nita gasped and her eyes widened in horror.

"You are out of your mind!

What if he finds out, then he w- would get rid of me too?!" She exclaimed in a loud voice and shook her head.

"No, he won’t.

Don’t get scared". Alpha Raul persuaded as she got up and wanted to walk away but he grabbed her by the arm and brought her close to his body.

"If you don’t then I won’t have any choice but to use your friend.

Should I do that instead?" He whispered in a husky voice and stared straight into her eyes.

Nita’s heart jumped and she got out of his hold and went back to sit down, deep in thought.

"Why on earth are you so obsessed with him?"

She after a few minutes of deliberation. She hasn’t made up her mind but she wants to hear more from him.

She might be a little naive but not stupid.

If she spies on the Alpha King and he finds out, she might end up in grave danger.

She had wished Tristan would finally have some peace with the Alpha king but someone was here plotting to steal that chance away from them.

"That’s not your business". He replied coldly.

"Do you like him?" She asked with a sudden glint in her eyes.

She waited for his response like a kid waiting for an ice cream.

"No!

What is going through your head?" The Alpha replied, shaking his head.

"He owes me.

He owes me a lot, and I intend to get my payback from him". He replied somberly after some hesitation.

Nita’s smile disappeared as she thought about the meaning of his words as she could not understand how the rich and powerful Alpha could owe him.

Noticing the list look on her face, Alpha Raul chuckled and went to sit beside her on the couch.

"His father and mine were very good friends while growing up. We practically grew up together. Then our packs were smaller as some territories were still occupied by rogues.

They would join hands together to fight against rogues and share the lands or territory and other things after each successful war until one day that his father accused my father of backing up some rogues.

Things would have turned out like that if my father hadn’t trusted him so much, his men captured him and locked him up wounded.

He died a few days later." He narrated and paused.

Nita watched as he stared blankly ahead as if he could see it unfold in front of him.

"No explanation was given, I was only fifteen. My Mom would not let me go over there. I wanted to demand for an explanation and his body and I got neither.

My Mom withered away and died five years later".

He continued and took another pause.

Nita reached out and touched his arm but he didn’t react like he felt it.

"I was disappointed in Mitch and met him after my Mom’s death and I got angry that he didn’t even reach all these years.

Guess what he said?".

"What?" Nita whispered.

"That I was the son of a traitor and I was not allowed in his pack house. I returned home humiliated and vowed to make him go through what my Dad went through.

And I have been waiting patiently all these years". He said and smiled but a single droplet of tears trailed down his cheek and Nita reached out to wipe it.

"Do you think I’m too vengeful?" He asked in a hoarse voice.

Nita shook her head and stared deep into his eyes.

"I think you are just a person with feelings and that’s okay". She replied, smiling at him.

He stared back at her and his eyes traveled to lips.

Nita’s lips parted as she noticed his heated gaze.

Neither of them know who moved first but in the next minute she sat astride him and their lips sealed in a sensual battle.

Alpha Raul held by the waist and his hands roamed her back as they kissed.

Nita put her hands around his shoulder as their tongues interlocked, the tobacco from the cigarette was strong on his tongue and she wondered if she was getting high from it.

She pulled away suddenly as she felt his hands under her blouse.

She looked down into his eyes shyly and moved to stand up.

"Are you scared?" He asked in a whisper against her lips.

Nita shook her head but she was in fact scared. Over the last few days, their bickerings had turned into something different that she could not explain but she was more scared because she has no experience when it comes to relationships and sexual relations.

The Alpha’s pheromones had clouded her senses and it was hard to think straight or resist him.

"Good". He whispered again and kissed her along her neck.

She arched against him and her knees felt weak as she rested pliant against him.

His hand travelled to her breasts and gave them a gentle squeeze.

Nita stopped his hand and leaned back to stare at him. His eyes had darkened and he smirked.

"You look scared". He commented and chuckled.

After hearing him talk, Nita felt her senses return and she sprang up and put some space between them.
