CHAPTER 79: 079

Tristan was very excited to see Nita and the two friends hugged and immediately she came out of the car.

Alpha Mitch watched from a short distance away with a slight frown.

Boston walked towards him and bowed slightly in greeting.

"Is there anything unusual when you went to pick her up?" He asked as he cannot get rid of a nagging feeling at the pit of his stomach at the presence of the Omega.

Ever since he saw her with Aloha Raul he just can’t seem to trust her or her intention but for the sake of his Omega he stayed silent.

"Nothing unusual".

Boston replied as he also stood beside him and watched the two omegas talk happily.

"And what about him?

Any movement?" Alpha Mitch asked again and he immediately understood without further words that he was talking about the other Alpha King.

"No, he has laid low for now".

"Good, keep an eye on him." He replied and turned to walk inside the mansion.

Tristan noticed and led Nita towards the entrance.

Since the last few days the two of them have been inseparable and his health has gotten noticeably better.

"Have you told him?" Nita asked in a whisper as they walked past the guards outside with their arms linked but her mind wasn’t really on what they were discussing but instead on the men standing guard.

She looked away nervously as one of them looked back at her.

"No, I haven’t. I’m scared". Tristan replied in a whisper back at her.

That finally got her attention and she looked at him with a shocked expression.

"Really, why?!" She whispered-yelled.

Tristan shook his head and stopped talking as he saw the Alpha standing a few feet away watching them.

Nita’s palms became sweaty as she felt sweaty under his gaze and it was like he could see right through her.

A maid also stopped in front of him and Alpha Mitch gestured at them.

"Show her to a room, you come with me". Alpha Mitch gestured at Nita and dragged Tristan towards him by the arm.

"Wait, we are still talking!" Tristan protested but the firm hand around his torso and the stare from the Alpha silenced him.

Once the maid and Nita left, he looked up at the Alpha with a pout.

"You would still have time to talk later". He replied to him and caressed his cheek as his large brown eyes stared without backing down.

Tristan finally relaxed against him and put his face against his chest.

"Let’s go inside". The Alpha said and led him inside his study.

"How much do you trust your friend?" He asked as they walked to the seat.

Tristan heard the question but was at a loss on how to answer and only frowned at the Alpha.

Alpha Mitch pulled him closer to sit on his laps.

"I trust her fully". Tristan replied after a while unsure of why he asked the question.

"Alright, and since I trust you. I would choose to trust her too". Alpha Mitch replied and that made Tristan twist around to face him.

"Why?

Is anything wrong?" He asked, getting worried.

"No, nothing is wrong.

I just don’t bring in strangers here, especially when you are here but since you trust her I would try my best to trust her too". The Alpha replied, gently caressing his back.

Tristan went quiet and pondered his words but he had nothing to say back because he understood the reason for his fear.

"Thank you". Tristan finally said with a soft smile and that earned him a kiss on the lips. He chuckled and kissed him back.

Meanwhile in her room, Nita was in the bathroom and talking to Alpha Raul in a hushed tone.

"Why did you call?

Didn’t you say we would communicate through texts only?!" She asked angrily as the phone trembled in her hand.

"I just want to make sure you are fine.

Whereas I miss you too". Alpha Raul replied with a lazy chuckle.

"I am not dead but I don’t think it would be far before that happens if you keep calling.

Alpha Mitch is scary, I can’t even look at him!". She complained and paced the bathroom.

"You don’t need to look at him, just tell me everything you see about him and make sure to be careful". Alpha Raul replied but she hurried to end the call as a knock sounded on the door.

Dropping the phone in the bathroom she hurried back into the room and opened the door slowly.

"The lunch has been served, will you like to have yours here or downstairs". The maid asked and Nita sighed in relief as she thought someone had come there because they had heard her.

"This is going to be hard". She thought worriedly and responded to the maid absentmindedly.

She got to the dining room to meet Tristan and the Alpha seated close to each other. Tristan was smiling and they were talking softly to each other.

Nita immediately regretted her decision.

"I should have eaten alone in the room". She thought and sat down on a chair very far away from them.

When the two of them noticed her, Tristan quickly moved away from the Alpha and smiled shyly at her.

The Alpha pulled him closer again and Tristan giggled while Nita smiled sadly to herself.

It seems her wish was really coming to pass by the way they were interacting with each other.

Throughout the time she spent with them her uneasiness grew because there was someone that was actively planning to ruin their happiness and she was also involved with that plan.

"What are you thinking about?" Tristan whispered closely to her face suddenly and she snapped out of her reverie to find the Alpha gone and only the two of them left.

"I-i...

Nothing". She smiled and looked down at her cold plate of food and swallowed nervously.

"You said you would tell me what happened to your apartment, what happened?"

Tristan asked eagerly.

Nita dropped her spoon and did what she has been doing since she got there.

She proceeded to lie to him again.

"Don’t you think it’s bad for you to say you miss another woman while I’m here with you".

Adriana asked in annoyance as she walked into the bathroom covered by his shirt.

Alpha Raul chuckled as the call ended abruptly.

He glanced in her direction with little interest.

He didn’t have the heart to tell her that despite the hours they had spent having sex he couldn’t satisfy the hunger that sat deep within him.

He indeed missed the Omega.

"Are you seriously saying you’ve given up on him?" Alpha Raul asked as she emerged from the bathroom again and started picking up her things from the floor.

"Yes, what do you think?

It’s been years and I can’t keep competing with an Omega.’ Adriana replied with a forced smile, but inside, she felt quite the opposite.

She had grown impatient in the last few days and came to him.

She had promised Gale to keep their plan a secret so she would do so.

"I think it’s alright, at least you would be able to laugh at him when he started to reap all he has sown and not weep with him.

It would be very sad to see you cry beside him". Alpha Raul continued to tease.

Adriana turned away and her face turned cold.

Their plans might not be too far off even if she wants Mitch with everything in her, she would gladly watch him suffer if he refuses her till the end.

Adriana left the room after dressing up and didn’t bid him a goodbye or glanced back.

After she left the door opened and Alpha Raul’s beta walked in.

"Have someone follow her, I am suspecting she is working with someone else". Alpha Raul ordered not giving the beta a chance to say what brought him into the room before he took off to do as the Alpha wanted.

Once alone, Alpha stared blankly ahead in deep thought.

He had thought his plan was flawless but he was getting worried now after the way Nita sounded on the phone.

If she gets caught by Alpha Mitch, it would be hard to get her from him unscathed and that would be bad.

He sighed heavily and put an arm over his face.

Later in the night he finally left the room and after a long shower.

He was walking to his dining room when his phone rang.

"Yeah?" He said to the phone but the voice on the other side made him frown.

"I’m scared.

I think he is suspicious of me." Nita said from the other side in a whisper.

"What happened?" Alpha Raul asked as a frown pulled his brows together.

"Nothing yet, I just feel like I’m being watched". She replied.

And before he could reply, she ended the call.

Alpha Raul looked at the screen of his phone with a deep frown.

"This is not right". He thought worriedly.
