CHAPTER 80: 080

"We are leaving for the pack house tomorrow". Alpha Mitch announced as his hand stroked Tristan’s hair.

They had retired to bed together as it was slowly becoming a habit for them to sleep together since Tristan’s health got better.

Tristan opened his eyes after his chest rumbled against his ear.

He raised his head up for a few seconds and dropped it back down as he snuggled with him.

"Why?" He asked in a murmur.

"Tomorrow night is a full moon". Alpha Mitch responded after a brief pause.

He had used the past few days to prepare for what they didn’t have a chance to do in the past.

It’s been over six months and they still aren’t fully mated, which made him unhappy.

"Full moon?

Is that why we are going there?" Tristan asked again, sleep slowly slipping away as he noticed the Alpha was trying to hold a conversation.

"Partially, without a full moon we won’t be going. But we are going there for our mating ceremony". He replied casually.

Tristan went rigid for a few seconds before he finally responded.

"Why am I just finding out?.

I mean- the last time it wasn’t impromptu like this". He complained unhappily.

"There were just some things that needed to be put into place and it has been fixed. That’s why. I’m sorry". Alpha Mitch replied and gently patted him on the back.

Tristan went silent as his mind travelled to what had happened so many months ago and he grew restless.

"Nothing can go wrong this time, right?" He thought faintly before he drifted off in sleep.

While he slept soundly in his embrace, Alpha Mitch stayed wide awake, his mind plagued with worry.

If things go according to plan tomorrow night, then the Omega would be finally bonded to him.

True mate or not, he does not really care.

"You now look better than when I arrived". Nita commented as Tristan walked out of the shower in a robe.

He smiled and went into the closet. She followed behind him to help him pack his things as they would be leaving for the pack house soon.

"Are you coming with us?" Tristan asked, silently hoping she agreed because it would be fun to have her around.

"Can I come? won’t that be weird?" She asked, she would love to go but with each day passing she got scared of getting caught too.

"Weird?

No! Everyone is leaving with us. It’s only normal for you to come along".

Tristan replied, and stopped in front of the floor length mirror in the closet. He was getting dressed and had his shirt in hand when he noticed a slight bump in his lower abdomen.

It wasn’t obvious but it was different from his usual slim and flat stomach. His breath trembled as he gently placed a hand on it as if trying to touch the life within.

He had gotten so carried away by the Alpha’s care that he didn’t pay attention to the changes occurring in his body.

"You are getting a bump?

Woah". Nita exclaimed in awe behind him as she stopped to stare.

"I think you should tell him as soon as possible". She added in a whisper scared someone might hear them.

"Yes, I will. This night or tomorrow morning". He affirmed.

But he was uneasy, what if he gets mad?

After the Alpha informed his beta that they would leave the following day, Gale had been restless.

And just before they left the mansion he snuck out to call Adriana.

"What?" She said grumpily from the phone.

"How quick can you make it to the pack house?" Gale asked impatiently.

"Your pack house?

Why?" She asked in curiosity.

Gale sighed heavily as he ran a hand through his hair.

He had underestimated the Alpha’s obsession with the Omega and that got him unguard.

"How the hell did he plan everything without letting me know?"

"Are you there?"

"Yes, tomorrow night is going to be their mating ceremony. If you get here fast enough we can disrupt it". Gale explained rapidly and Adriana became silent on the other side.

"How do you intend to do that?".

"No questions for that, just be ready tomorrow!" He replied and ended the call as he heard footsteps coming towards his direction.

They left the pack house and an hour later, two black vehicles followed themselves.

Inside one, Tristan sat and leaned on the Alpha while he scrolled through his phone.

He appeared relaxed but his mind was the opposite. He needed to find a good opportunity to tell him about the baby.

"I want to tell you something". He said suddenly and moved away to look at the Alpha.

"Okay, tell me". Alpha Mitch urged on as he caressed his hand.

Tristan looked down at their intertwined hand and changed his mind.

"When we get to the pack house I will tell you". He said with a smile.

The Alpha didn’t push for him to say it and only nodded.

And the rest of the journey was uneventful as Tristan fell asleep halfway.

When the two cars pulled up in front of the pack house, Mariah was already waiting outside eagerly for them.

She had only just heard today from her mother that the Omega had returned after the last ugly argument they had.

When the door of the car opened she quietly waited unlike her usual happy self.

She was shocked to see Nita came out of the car.

"Are you the one he is getting mated to?" She asked in horror and pointed at her.

Nita rolled her eyes and swatted her finger away.

"They are in the second car". She said and Mariah sighed in relief and went over to see Tristan in the Alpha’s arms.

Her mouth opened in surprise, it was quite different from what she had expected.

"Let me down". Tristan softly whispered to his Alpha but he held him firmly.

"Is he hurt?" Adriana asked and that finally made the Alpha drop him as his face darkened.

"He is fine".

Adriana smiled at Tristan before she finally hugged him tightly.

"Thank you for not giving up on him.

He might be annoying and has pride as big as a mountain, trust me he is not a bad person". She said happily.

"Enough". Alpha Mitch grumbled and dragged the Omega away from her hold.

"Come, mother has been waiting". Mariah ignored her brother’s cold expression and took the Omega away without a second thought.

Tristan looked back at him, and smiled as his eyes followed them into the house.

Mariah knocked briefly on her Mom’s door, and a soft response from inside invited them in.

"You are here". She said happily but her gaze froze as the Omega got closer to her.
