CHAPTER 83: 083

The night stretched and along the way Alpha Mitch whispered something in his ear before he disappeared out of the pack house.

Tristan was seated between Mariah and Nita after Alpha Mitch left and he tried to pay attention to what they were saying and doing but he would occasionally look at the door for the Alpha.

"Since Mitch is gone, let’s do something fun". Mariah stood up and said to the two of them.

Since most of those around were drunk and some were arguing, Tristan winced and shook his head.

"I think I want to go to bed now". He said to her but she gasped.

"No!.

What’s the fun in that?

If Mitch gets back now, I promise to let you go immediately". Mariah said, holding up a hand.

Tristan gave in and was waiting for the game to start until a bottle of liquor was handed over to him.

"Do you want to know a secret?" Mariah asked, whispering to the both of them.

Tristan shook his head and looked at her with curiosity.

"The best night with your mate is while you are drunk. You can go on for hours!" She whispered-yelled.

Nita grimaced and he gasped. The two of them exchanged a look and he pushed the alcohol away in disgust.

He rarely had alcohol and he had them on a few occasions but he wouldn’t even dare to do so now.

"Why?!" Mariah cried unhappily at his disinterest.

"Let me play with you, what’s the rule?". Nita asked as she tried to cover for Tristan.

Tristan watched the two of them go at it until they were fully drunk.

By then, he was also very sleepy.

Suddenly, Nita’s phone rang and he pick up the device unsure of what to do.

Shaking her gently to wake her as she and Mariah laid on the floor of the living room passed out.

She didn’t budge and only grumbled.

He then decided to answer the call as he wondered who calls this late into the night anyways.

"Hi" He said softly and was about to tell the person that she was asleep when the caller talked first.

"I sent you a message, check it and get back to me immediately". The call ended and Tristan frowned at a familiar voice.

He thought about it for a few seconds until he realised it was Alpha king Raul.

He turned his attention to the phone to see if he could send a response in her stead.

But as he read the message, his mouth slowly went agape and no word came out of his throat.

He looked over at Nita and his hand shook as he struggled to drop the phone carefully.

He stood up immediately and ran up to his room as he suddenly became cold.

"What was that?!" He exclaimed once alone but he stripped out of his clothes and went to bed as the Alpha hadn’t returned.

What Alpha Mitch wasn’t expecting was spending the night away from Tristan.

He would constantly check his watch as he drove through the night.

His men had held Adriana back from getting closer to the pack house and she had refused to return just Alpha Raul did.

He would have asked Gale to take care of it and get rid of her but there were a few things he needed to say to her.

After he packed his car, his men came forward from their different posts.

Adriana was seated on the hood of her car and she glared at him as she swung her feet.

"Welcome Alpha". His men greeted and he nodded but his eyes were on Adriana.

"Why am I no longer allowed to cross from this point to the pack house?" She asked angrily and got down from her car.

"Because I gave the orders". Alpha Mitch replied coldly as his patience thinned.

Adriana glared at him but she didn’t want to yell in the presence of his men, she glared at them and they all turned away and returned to their duties post giving them privacy.

"You see that?

I am very known and respected among your men, why did you choose him instead?" She asked, her voice wavering.

Alpha Mitch looked ahead and his eyes darkened as he could no longer listen to her disrespect his mate.

"They respect you because I asked them to, they would also disrespect you if I tell them to. So it’s your choice now between the two.

And, you are wondering why I chose him.

I actually didn’t...

But fate brought us together". Alpha Mitch replied with a tender smile.

Adriana scoffed and moved closer to him, their chest just inches apart.

"Mate my foot!" She spat.

"Have a great time dealing with that dysfunctional mate of yours!" She continued and stormed back to her car angrily and drove back the way she came.

Her grip on the wheel tightened as she cussed under her breath.

She needed to meet Gale but she had ruined her end of the plan.

Calling his number on her phone.

She chewed on her lip in anticipation.

"I was not allowed into the pack house, what happened?

Mitch just came here, has the ceremony been postponed?" She asked in a rush as soon as the call connected through, her voice full of hope.

"We need a plan B, for now just return home. I will get in touch with you again". Gale replied and ended the call.

Adriana stared at the phone with a shock expression.

"Fuck!" She screamed angrily.

She drove angrily as she was blinded by jealousy unaware of a ditch ahead, she didn’t let down on the speed when her car plummeted into the ditch and rolled before it fell upside-down.

The windows and glasses shattered and the sound scared every wild life in the radius of the place away.

Adriana had flown out of the car after she hit the ditch, her body hit the ground and she passed out immediately.
