The Alpha's Stripper Mate: Sold To Be His.
Chapter 67
CHAPTER 67: 67
XAVIER
"Boss! We found someone!" A voice shot through my mind link.
I shot up from bed. There were only a few people I gave access to my mind link.
"Brian?" I called.
"Get up from bed, man. The men have returned, and they brought someone with them." He replied.
I tilted slightly to take one glance at Nylah before walking to the bathroom to freshen off. Dried sperm coated my cock and some part of my body.

"Where is he?" I asked when I saw Brian not far from my chambers, he was waiting for me to come out."
"He’s in the throne room." He replied.
I glanced around suspiciously but he shook his head.
"Rex stepped out already. He’s not around." I nodded after confirming that we wouldn’t be seen.
"And the men?" I asked.
"They have no idea what we are doing. They called me and told me they found someone who knows Rex. And I told them to hear him out. He was pretty much homeless so it was easy for them to bring him in." He replied.
"So he followed them willingly?" I asked and he nodded again.
We got to the throne room and walked into the door. On one of the chairs sat a man whose back was slouched like his bones had been broken in battle or something had shifted his structure.
Long white hair dropped from his head onto his laps.
I shot a glance at Brian and back at the man who also had the attention of all the gasp. I could see from the side of his face a long pointed nose, almost pointing to the ground.
There were dark circles around his eyes and his lips were thin from the side too.
He muttered some words that were barely audible.
One of the guards close to him turned to me and Brian.
"He said the Alpha is here. With so much power. The destined one." Instantly, our brows arched. What was he talking about the destined one? Did they bring me a wizard or what?
He stood up slowly, and dragged his chair to face our direction so slowly like he had no bones in his arms and no strength. The guards had to help him.
"So much glory, so much power! He will face more enemies but he will prevail over them all!" He continued to chant and chant until we closed the distance and were standing a couple of feet close to him.
"Where did you get him from?" I asked the guards.
"We found him in an abandoned house. The home of the last elders." They replied and my brows knotted at the information.
The house was abandoned ever since the legendary elders were cursed by the moon goddess. No one dared enter their home, some of them believing the curse will follow anyone who did.
That was centuries ago. Now, wolves weren’t that scared of the place any longer.
Scaring people out of the place was also one of the ways our ancestors kept people from seeking answers to why they were cursed but with civilization, everyone knew better and was less concerned.
"What were you doing at the elder’s house?" I asked leaning in to take his face. It was as I saw from the side, even worse.
Wrinkles etched on his face, making it look almost like he had an attack from spiders and they forced their web on his face. The wrinkles ran deep.
"That was the instruction I received from her. She told me I would be found. At first I was found by the Alpha’s brother but when he told me to follow him, I was told to hang on and that I will be found." He replied with a faint voice.
Everyone in the room exchanged glances.
"Who is this she?" Brian asked this time.
"The moon goddess. I hear her loudly in my ears. At first I thought it was a curse the first time my village got burnt with my parents in it but she told me where to hide and when to run."
"My lungs were affected as a result of too much smoke but I managed to escape. I’ve been following her voice ever since and hiding wherever I can."
"I need just one herb. One herb that would cure me and make me alive again and I spent my life searching for it. The plant of life."
I exchanged glances with Brian again.
"When Rex met me at the house, I was dying. He tried to save me but he returned without the plant of life. He begged me to come with him as he knew where we could find it but I couldn’t travel. That voice. It told me to stay put so that I was going to be found." He finished and drew a deep breath as if he was going to die any second.
"It’s hard to believe your story. And you seem to know about wolves. If you know about us as well as you claim you do then you should have been able to heal regardless of where you were hurt and from your explanation, it seems to be an old wound." I replied. Not buying his words.
He pulled his old shirt that could be mistaken for a rag up and I squinted at the sight of his chest.
"They did this to me when I was shifting for the first time. They got my wolf with a spear while I was still half human half wolf. They cut its head off."
"Its tail is still sticking out of my butt till date. But I am wolfless. Therefore I can’t heal or do things that other wolves do." He replied
His chest had a dark dent in it that seemed to be spreading across his body.
"Why should we believe you?" I asked again.
"Because you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I can’t fight you or try to rebel against you and with all that has been going on, having someone who hears from the goddess is a plus on your side." He replied confidently.
"What do you know about my brother Rex?" I asked lastly.
"A lot, but he can be a genuine soul when he isn’t threatened and he can rebel when he falls misunderstood. With Rex just keep things simple and plain." He replied.
I didn’t understand that and was about to ask again when he started coughing loudly and wheezing for air.
"I need a drink from the plant of life now! If the black dent gets to my neck, I’m not going to make it. If you want to know more, you must keep me alive!" He cried as he continued coughing and wheezing.
I sent some of the guards to go to the pack’s hospital to get a drink from the plant of life. While the remaining guards tried to keep him stable.
After a few minutes, they ran back with the glass, raised his head up and fed him the content of the cup.
His body vibrated after taking it and he slumped to the ground. There were no movements from him for some minutes and we started exchanging glances, each person unsure of what was going on.
"Did it kill him?" One of the guards asked but before another person could answer, the man on the floor coughed and wheezed a loud, long one before his eyes flew open.
