The Ancestor of All Demons
Chapter 767: Lead the calamity water to the west
CHAPTER 767: LEAD THE CALAMITY WATER TO THE WEST
Cha Shuangying and the Xuanyuan Dharma King’s lineage of the Mystics Yin Great Method was improved; they deeply knew the weaknesses of the original. This time, the Blood Rock Hermit had imbued the golden needles with the True Sun Fire and special runes, and after piercing Gu Chen’s split Primordial Spirit, flames surged out continuously, scorching Gu Chen’s soul body, causing immense agony to the Spiritual Energy.
Gu Chen activated the Mysterious Yin Demon Banner to release Divine Demons to attack the Xuanyuan Dharma King, but the Xuanyuan Dharma King had long ordered the Blood Rock Hermit to initiate ambushes within this Demon Palace, also forming the Mystics Yin Seven Evil Formation. Sudden gushes of black smoke and golden light sprung from the ground, entangling those Divine Demons.
At this moment, the Xuanyuan Dharma King also changed from his previously weakened state, which seemed almost about to scatter in the wind, solidifying his intangible Primordial Spirit quickly, his limbs and facial features became real, looking no different from a living person at first glance.
He laughed out loud, took a breath, and first sucked in a strand of Gu Chen’s Primordial Spirit, completely refining and absorbing it using the Soul Refining Great Technique, then proceeded to suck in the second strand.
Each of the strands of the remnant soul, watched by the golden needles, twisted and writhed continuously; he seemed to be eating some kind of wriggling creature that had been skewered with needles.
After consuming all forty-nine fragments of the shattered Primordial Spirit, the Xuanyuan Dharma King had returned to his peak state from before his death and even far surpassed it.
A grand Magical Treasure materialized over his body, surrounded by black smoke and electric golden light, with a complex Black Gold Crown on his head, emanating a terrifying aura.
However, he hadn’t yet fully digested Gu Chen’s Primordial Spirit; a strong will and Divine Thoughts created a churn inside his body. The forces were fragmented, his face bulging out with a fist at one moment, and a human face swelling out from the back of his head at another, extremely bizarre.
The Xuanyuan Dharma King, having absorbed Gu Chen’s memories and aura, performed a hand seal, casting his spell and releasing a vast expanse of black golden radiance, which swept across the land like an engulfing tide. The Mysterious Yin Demon Banners quickly quieted down, the Divine Demons that had escaped returned to their places, and the Demon Palace’s arrays quickly stabilized.
"Congratulations, Master! Joyful felicitations, Teacher! You’ve obtained Uncle-Master Gu Chen’s Primordial Spirit, your Mana is more formidable than before, and dealing with that Evil Dragon is as easy as turning over one’s hand!" Blood Rock Hermit came forward, kneeling to congratulate the Xuanyuan Dharma King.
The Xuanyuan Dharma King was also very pleased; he had almost been obliterated in body and soul by Shi Feiyang’s scheme previously, nearly annihilated, and now he had revived in such a short time, filling him with joy and satisfaction.
He smiled and shook his head, "Not yet, your master’s Primordial Spirit has only grown stronger, and I have yet to fully integrate and absorb your Uncle-Master Gu Chen’s Primordial Spirit. I still need a high-quality body, preferably one with a thousand years of cultivation, well-nourished essence, energy, blood, and flesh..."
Listening to the conversation, Blood Rock Hermit realized something was awry and hurriedly forced a joyful expression, "Although there are not many sword immortals with a thousand years of cultivation, there are a few in the West Sea. Your disciple will certainly do everything possible to help Master obtain one..."
"Ah! Why bother with all that effort? As the saying goes, a soldier is fed for a thousand days to be used in one moment. I have taught you and your fellow disciples for so many years, and now is the time for you to fulfill your filial duties..."
Blood Rock Hermit, terror-stricken, leapt up from the ground with a loud shout, throwing all the golden needles and golden sabers he had.
The Xuanyuan Dharma King had already made his move and would not allow him to fight back desperately. He immediately performed the Forbidden Secret Technique, directly extracting Blood Rock Hermit’s Primordial Spirit from his body, holding it in his hand. Blood Rock Hermit still struggled, but how could he match the Xuanyuan Dharma King? His Divine Soul was torn to shreds, turned into a clump of fluff, and, with a swift inhalation, he was sucked into the belly.
Following that, the Xuanyuan Dharma King pounced into Blood Rock Hermit’s body.
He stretched his limbs, then burst into great laughter, "Evil Dragon, Evil Dragon, you could never have imagined that I, Xuanyuan Dharma King, would return, right? You claim to follow the Dao legacy of the Emperor Xuanyuan, and my honored title, Xuanyuan Dharma King, you have just blasphemed against!"
He had devoured Gu Chen’s Primordial Spirit and seized Blood Rock Hermit’s body, obtaining all of their inheritance; he just hadn’t completely digested and integrated everything and still needed a lot of time to cultivate.
Cultivating in the Demon Palace for several days, the Xuanyuan Dharma King calculated that the Kunlun Sect’s people would arrive soon.
The people from the Kunlun Sect were not to be feared, but behind them, Shi Feiyang would also come, and that was a formidable enemy. Moreover, Shi Feiyang might bring along a group of Heavenly Immortals and Earth Immortals to gang up on him.
The Shushan World wasn’t small but also wasn’t vast; it was hundreds of thousands of miles away to the East and South Seas... It would take several lifetimes for an ordinary human to reach, but for someone like Shi Feiyang, who was powerful in Mana and adept at the Circulation of Heavenly Calculations, nearly nothing could conceal his form, making it impossible to hide.
After much thought, he decided to forsake the Heavenly Treasure Mirror.
Although the treasure was formidable, he couldn’t unleash its full power; holding onto it would only bring him a greater calamity.
He could have been fearless at his peak, but not now...
After some calculations, the Xuanyuan Dharma King decided to divert disaster eastward, leaving the Demon Palace before the Kunlun Sect arrived and hurrying to West Pole Mountain.
West Pole Mountain, spanning nearly ten thousand miles, was called a mountain but was in fact a highland continent. There were several larger basins on it, home to many humans of different races, skin colors, and nations, comprising thousands of scattered countries. Any given hill might contain a few villages, also called a country, or a town. Building some fences and city walls also counted as a city-state.
The West Pole Sect had already been established here for thousands of years. As far back as the era of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, some people were cultivating the Great Techniques of the Heavenly Realms here, back when it was still the era of primitive witches and barbarians. Later, when Yu the Great managed the waters, Mystics Yin Water Mother was pressed to flee to this region. She sought affinity with the God of Geng Metal to let the waters of the Four Seas rise a thousand zhang, flooding the entire world.
Yu the Great exercised his Supreme Divine Power and forcibly separated the metallic water, restoring the Five Elements to their rightful places.
During that duel, they left behind numerous "Miracles" and "Magic Veins" here, which were obtained by the primitive witches and barbarians and refined into the Great Techniques of the Heavenly Realms. By the end of the Shang Dynasty, during King Wu’s campaign against King Zhou, they received some of the Magic Veins of the Guiding Buddha, that is, a portion from Amitabha Buddha, from the Nirvana, and also obtained a portion of the Magic Veins of the Zhunti Buddha Mother from another world. The fusion of these three established the foundation of the West Pole Sect.
Subsequent generations relentlessly adjusted and improved their doctrines and techniques, until they ultimately matured and perfected them. Eventually, they established their sect on top of the Thousand Nations of West Pole Mountain, becoming the god that dominated all.
Now, they’ve completely abandoned the Buddhist path and have developed their own distinct style and methods.
Originally, the sect had six Elders who had achieved Undying Bodies, but their teachings were still rather crude. As they were the only sect on West Pole Mountain, there was no competition, and they remained in a quite isolated environment.
That changed after six Sect Hierarchs from Central Earth successively made their way here, provoking a qualitative change in the situation.
In Central Plains, there were many evil cults—the Green Robe Ancestor, Red-haired Ancestor, Five Poison Heavenly King, Five Ghosts Heavenly King, Fiery Fire Ancestor, Poison Dragon Venerable—these six had emerged through fierce struggles in the harsh environment of Central Earth. They had to contend not only with the suppression and pursuit of the Orthodox Sect but also with competition from others of the Evil and Demon sects. With constant threats, both overt and covert, 365 days a year, they had honed not just their spells but also their minds and means, each one cruel and ruthless. They had a common enemy, or else they would have turned against each other from within.
In recent years, the West Pole Sect has been rapidly expanding, sweeping through the islands of West Sea, subjugating all to their rule, or else utterly annihilating them.
Their power is also continually extending towards South Sea and North Sea.
In the North Sea, they met resistance at Heiga Mountain, where Ji Nan, a master on the level of the Cosmic Six Strange, even more formidable than Elder Cangxu, resides. They didn’t dare provoke him rashly, but they have gradually begun to circumvent Heiga Mountain and continue their expansion towards North Sea. Xiao Nan of Tianqian Mountain, situated at the junction of Northwest Two Seas, has already felt the pressure of West Pole Sect, or else he wouldn’t be so urgently seeking reconciliation with Shi Feiyang.
Fortunately, there’s another big player in North Sea, the master of Yan Yingmu, Island Master Ji Xuan.
This Ji Xuan is another exceptional figure; she practices her cultivation in Water Mother Palace at the bottom of the sea and would send her Primordial Spirit out for reincarnation, somewhat similar to Elder Kuzhu; however, she does not reincarnate regularly but only when needed.
One time, she reincarnated in Central Earth and took Yan Yingmu as her disciple, whom she taught for some years before returning to her palace upon death.
Later, Yan Yingmu obtained the "Tai Xuan Golden Chapter," entered the true lineage of Mysterious Sect, achieved Body Ascension, and ascended away. Ji Xuan has yet to ascend, but her mana is even higher than that of Yan Yingmu at the time of her ascension!
She rarely shows herself now, and has stopped reincarnating, leaving only her disciple True Master Lu Xun to appear in public, presiding over Water Mother Palace.
The West Pole Sect is not afraid of Lu Xun, but they dare not provoke Ji Xuan.
The North Sea strategy has been stymied, development has slowed, while the expansion into South Sea has been smooth. The South Sea didn’t harbor any particularly formidable beings, especially since Elder Cangxu had already been defeated. The rest were easy to capture; many island and reef masters were either subdued or killed, or they fled.
Xuanyuan Dharma King was also in West Sea, watching the development of the West Pole Sect over the years. He knew that the Sect was no longer what it once was, and they too knew he was not to be trifled with—previously they maintained a distance, like water not encroaching on river.
This time he took the initiative to ascend the mountain, and when the people of West Pole Sect saw his arrival, they thought he had come to attack.
Five Poison Heavenly King Lie Baduo said, "That Xuanyuan old devil possesses extensive divine skills and ruthless methods. Ever since he was driven out of Central Earth and returned to his master’s original place of origin, he has secluded himself and intensely practiced his spells. This time, he must have come to conquer West Pole Mountain to enlist us under his wing, making us his foundation, and later devise strategies to return to Central Earth..."
Poison Dragon Venerable also bore a grave expression: "That old devil is indeed not to be underestimated. Even when divining the reasons for his visit using my spells, nothing can be discerned."
As if facing a formidable enemy, the West Pole Sect thus gathered all twelve Elders to collectively come out and welcome him.
Xuanyuan Dharma King, seeing the grandeur of their reception, felt very satisfied within himself. They were indeed still scared of him!
Now inhabiting the body of Blood Rock Hermit, after several days of cultivation, his appearance had greatly changed, falling somewhere between his original visage and that of Blood Rock Hermit.
However, everyone present could see the Primordial Spirit and sense the-qi-, all knowing it was him. The six Sect Hierarchs from Central Earth took the lead to meet him with courtesy.
In reality, the seniority of Xuanyuan Dharma King was a generation above the six great Sect Hierarchs. His disciples, such as the Five Lascivious Venerable, Poison Hand Mo Shen, and others, were almost equal to these Sect Hierarchs; some perhaps even had a longer history of cultivation and higher levels of mana. But the six great Sect Hierarchs were not the same as in the past and interacted with Xuanyuan Dharma King as equals.
