CHAPTER 312: CHAPTER 312: ALSO MISS YOU VERY MUCH

He hurriedly took out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number to call Tang Haoliang.

When Xu Yisen had rushed out of the office earlier, Tang Haoliang already knew it was because Qin Muni had a chance encounter with Xia Weifu at the graveyard while paying respects to her father.

Therefore, he contacted the person surveilling Xia Weifu, who informed him that Xia Weifu did go out today, but he didn’t visit the graveyard; he only went to a nearby supermarket to buy something before returning home.

When Xu Yisen called him, he quickly answered the phone and respectfully reported everything he knew to Xu Yisen.

Finally, he asked with a puzzled tone: "Miss Qin... could she have mistaken the person?"

Xu Yisen did not answer his question, he merely instructed him to send a recent photo of Xia Weifu and told him to continue keeping an eye on Xia Weifu, then hung up the call.

He concealed his emotions, picked up a tray, and went upstairs to the study room.

Qin Muni was sprawled lazily on a chaise lounge; upon hearing the sound, she didn’t even lift her head and calmly turned a page of her book.

Xu Yisen placed the tray on the small round table beside her, then walked to the bookshelf, selected a book, and returned to sit on the carpet, leaning against the chaise lounge where Qin Muni was lying.

"Have some fruit. The mille-feuille cake in the fridge hasn’t been touched. Do you not like matcha flavor?"

Qin Muni put down her book, sat up, crossed her legs facing the small round table, picked up the little fork from the tray, took a small piece of matcha mille-feuille cake, tasted it carefully, and nodded, "I forgot to eat it yesterday; it tastes pretty good."

"Secretary Tang recommended a newly opened vegetarian restaurant to me; I think you’ll like it, shall I take you there next time?"

"Sure." Qin Muni nodded, speared a piece of apple with the fork, and held it to his mouth, "Here, a reward for thinking of me even when there’s delicious food."

Xu Yisen opened his mouth to eat the apple, smilingly said, "Of course, I think of you not only when there’s good food but especially when in bed at night."

Qin Muni gave Xu Yisen a sideways glare, well accustomed to his occasional teasing words, she knowingly ignored his teasing, took a piece of strawberry into her mouth, put down the fork, and lay back on the chaise lounge to read again.

Xu Yisen, meanwhile, took out his phone, opened the recent photo of Xia Weifu that Tang Haoliang had sent earlier, and handed it to Qin Muni, "By the way, see if this is the person you saw at the graveyard today."

Qin Muni put down her book and took the phone from Xu Yisen’s hand, and with just a glance, she nodded affirmatively, "It’s him, I remember he has a scar on his neck."

After taking another look at the cold-faced Xia Weifu in the photo, Qin Muni returned the phone to Xu Yisen, and with a puzzled tone asked, "Does he have any special skills? Like in IT?"

Xu Yisen took back the phone, raising his eyebrows slightly, curious about her sudden question, "Why do you suddenly ask this?"

Qin Muni did not plan to tell Xu Yisen now about the anonymous messages she had received for the past three years, so she shrugged indifferently, "Just curious."

Xu Yisen didn’t think much of it and answered truthfully: "Yes, he is very talented in IT; he used to work for the mafia hacking into other people’s computers or systems for them."

Qin Muni nodded, picked up her book again, seemingly indifferent to Xu Yisen’s words, yet a question that had been lingering in her mind for a long time finally found an answer.

It was likely that the person who had been sending her messages for years was Xia Weifu.
