Chapter 380: Today is your big birthday
CHAPTER 380: CHAPTER 380: TODAY IS YOUR BIG BIRTHDAY
She turned her head slightly, and Yisen’s figure was no longer by her side. After a moment, she wrapped herself in the comforter, got out of bed, and walked into the bathroom to take a shower and freshen up.
Since the clothes she wore yesterday were left in the study, she had no choice but to put on Yisen’s bathrobe.
The loose bathrobe made her look particularly petite. After tying a knot at the waist in front of the full-length mirror, she turned and left the bathroom.
Yisen was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for Munni. He glanced up inadvertently and saw her gracefully walking into the kitchen, and a gentle smile curved unconsciously at the corners of his lips.
"Munni, good morning."
"Morning."
Munni poured a cup of warm water from the water dispenser. Holding the glass cup, she walked to the counter and saw Yisen had just prepared the longevity noodles and placed them on a plate.
Yisen’s hands paused for a moment. He turned slightly and placed a gentle kiss on Munni’s smooth forehead.
"Did you sleep well last night?"
"Hmm, it was okay."
"I made you longevity noodles. My cooking skills might not be as good as dad’s, but he told me to always prepare a bowl of these noodles for you on your birthday."
One day before marrying Munni, Mr. Qin personally visited Yisen’s office.
The two of them sat and talked for a long time. In their conversation, it was easy to sense Mr. Qin’s love for Munni and his reluctance about her upcoming marriage.
At the end of the conversation, Mr. Qin reminded Yisen to make sure Munni eats a delicious bowl of longevity noodles on her birthday.
Even after Munni got married, Mr. Qin would still personally cook a bowl of longevity noodles and deliver it to their home.
When Yisen mentioned her father, Munni’s smile slightly faded, and she felt a deep longing for the father who cherished her like a treasure.
Yisen sensed her subtle change in mood, reached out softly to rub her head, and said, "Silly girl, cheer up, today is your big day."
After speaking, he took her hand and led her to the dining table to sit down.
"Do you want something to drink?"
Munni shook her head, tilted it slightly and drank the warm water from her glass in one gulp.
Meanwhile, Yisen returned to the counter, picked up the plate from the countertop, and placed the longevity noodles, chopsticks, and soup spoon in front of Munni at the dining table.
On top of the noodles were halved soft-boiled eggs, smoked pork belly slices, and baby bok choy, looking very appetizing.
Munni picked up the soup spoon and scooped a little bit of soup. She gently blew on it until it was just about the right temperature, then brought it to her mouth.
The soup was made with pork bones, and since it was suitable for a light breakfast, Yisen didn’t add too much salt, making it quite palatable.
"It tastes nice."
"As long as you like it."
Munni smiled sweetly, picked up her chopsticks to take a bite of the noodles, chewed carefully, and then surprised Yisen with a thumbs up.
"The texture of the noodles is great too."
Her generous praise made Yisen feel content. He sat across from Munni, resting his chin on a large hand, watching Munni eat the longevity noodles he made himself, his heart filled with overwhelming happiness.
Munni had a good appetite and finished the entire bowl of noodles. Then Yisen took away her empty bowl and placed a prepared fruit platter in front of her.
"Have some fruit."
Munni shook her head, took a tissue from the box, and elegantly wiped her mouth, "I’m so full."
