CHAPTER 386: CHAPTER 386: I WILL DIE HERE TONIGHT TOO, WON’T I?
Munni took a shower, changed her clothes, did her makeup, and with everything in place, was about to leave for her date with Liang Jiuchen when she suddenly received a call from Zhong Luoyi, the restaurant manager.
Usually, if there’s nothing important, Zhong Luoyi would just send WeChat messages to Munni.
If he called Munni, it would mean that something urgent might have happened in the restaurant.
She swiped her thumb across the screen to answer the call and heard Zhong Luoyi’s slightly anxious voice on the other end: "Boss, could you please come to the restaurant?"
"Did something happen?"
Zhong Luoyi didn’t answer her directly but said in a conflicted tone: "I’ll explain when you get here."
Judging by his tone, it seemed quite serious. Munni didn’t dare to take it lightly and responded seriously, "Okay, I’ll be right there."
After hanging up the phone, she hurried out of the house, sending a text message to Liang Jiuchen, informing him that she needed to drop by Yu Qingyuan before meeting him for dinner.
Shortly after, she received a text from Liang Jiuchen, telling her to go to Yu Qingyuan first; he would wait for her at the dinner venue.
Munni drove quickly towards Yu Qingyuan, wondering what could have happened to make Zhong Luoyi so anxious.
After driving for more than ten minutes, she finally arrived at Yu Qingyuan.
She parked her car in the parking lot and quickly opened the door to get out.
There were quite a few cars in the parking lot in front of Yu Qingyuan. Normally, there would be many people either dining in or leaving the restaurant, walking between the entrance and the parking lot. But tonight, both the parking lot and the entrance of Yu Qingyuan were eerily quiet.
She was wearing high heels, and the sound of her heels clashing against the floor was jarringly loud in the silent night.
Munni couldn’t help but quicken her pace towards the door of Yu Qingyuan, only to find, to her surprise, that the usual staff at the entrance were also missing today.
An inexplicable bad feeling crept over her, recalling the last two incidents when someone came to cause trouble at Yu Qingyuan. She speculated: Could it be that Xia Yuge’s fans wanted to make a scene at Yu Qingyuan again, but got discovered, and in anger, murdered the staff inside?
As she walked towards the hall, her steps lost their previous urgency and became more cautious. With each step, her expression grew heavier.
Just as she was about to turn into the hall, the entire restaurant suddenly plunged into a terrifying darkness.
Munni felt even more panicked, becoming more certain of her suspicions.
She wanted to turn back and leave, but curiosity got the better of her, so she slowly moved towards the hall while quickly reaching into her bag to feel for her phone.
Unknowingly, she had already moved into the hall, yet it was still pitch black and eerily silent. She muttered to herself... could everyone have been murdered, and tonight she would die here too?
After fumbling in her bag for a while, she finally touched her phone, feeling a sense of relief.
She quickly took out her phone, but before she could turn on the flashlight, a dim candlelight suddenly appeared in the originally dark hall.
By that faint light, she saw Xu Yisen standing not far away, holding a cake.
His delicately featured face became even softer in the candlelight, his thin lips curving gently into a warm smile.
