CHAPTER 35: SO YOU’RE THE BASTARD WHO DARED TO HURT ONE OF MY WOMEN!?

"You bastard!" Robert shouted as he grabbed his sword, barely managing to take two steps before falling to his knees and spitting out large gulps of blood.

His eyes turned opaque and slowly lost life as he collapsed onto the floor.

"What a shame... he was a good toy." Eve only glanced briefly at Robert’s corpse before focusing her gaze on Gobini again. "What’s next, Dad?"

"Now we’ll become the next sovereigns of Stormerga." Gobini spread his arms wide and embraced Eve. "I will reclaim my place as lord of this city and make David feel true despair for having usurped my place!"

"You have done well, child. You have your mother’s beauty, strength and intelligence. I couldn’t be prouder..." Gobini said.

In response, Eve just hugged him back.

Her gaze soon fell on a woman with green hair and huge tits, staring at them in disgust.

"Who’s that, Dad?" She squinted her eyes, displeased with the look on the woman’s face.

"Victoria, Stuart’s wife. Well... actually, my wife now, hehehehe." Gobini laughed as he puffed out his chest with pride.

Unfortunately, father and daughter didn’t have long to enjoy their plans coming to fruition.

Soon, a panting bandit rushed into the room.

"Mr. Gobini! Mr. Gobini! We have a problem!"

"What? I hope you have a good reason for interrupting me, because if not..." Gobini gritted his teeth and his voice took on an irritated tone.

"Someone is trying to break through our defenses!" The bandit spoke quickly as he knelt on the ground.

"Who’s that crazy? How many are there? Are they the city lord’s men?"

"Just one man, Mr. Gobini. I don’t know anything about him, but he’s very powerful!"

"Ah..." Gobini breathed a sigh of relief and without much thought looked at his daughter. "Sort it out for Daddy, dear. I’m going to start the training right now."

"I won’t let you down." Eve said before leaving with the guards, leaving only Gobini and Victoria in the room.

Under the veil of night, Stormerga fell asleep, leaving only guards, bandits, drunks and prostitutes in the dark, almost empty streets.

A faint breeze whistled above the great walls and, hidden by the darkness of the poorer regions, a shadowy figure leapt over the great wooden structure, landing heavily on the inside of the wall.

His eyes took on a blood red hue and the discomfort that dominated his chest guided him through the narrow streets as the mana in his body exploded, propelling him forward with no less speed than a racehorse’s gallop.

The unawakened citizens of Stormerga who were still up saw nothing but a figure, an elusive shadow breaking through the darkness at an inhuman speed.

The awakened, despite being able to keep up with the figure’s speed, quickly retreated when they felt the intensity of the mana and murderous intent it released.

That figure was naturally Ethan who, after a few minutes, stopped his steps in a dark alley filled with garbage.

Below him was a wooden lid leading to the Stormerga sewer, and from there he heard two male voices.

Feeling his bond with Victoria guide him in that direction, Ethan drew his sword, his face cold and unchanging as he raised his right foot, gathering all his mana in his legs before dropping it on the manhole cover.

A crash resounded and the ground beneath Ethan’s feet gave way, collapsing onto two thugs patrolling the sewers.

"What the fuck?" One of the thugs shouted as he drew his sword.

The next moment, two piercing whistles echoed followed by miserable screams and two low thuds as two bloodied heads fell to the ground.

Before the splinters of the wooden lid had even begun to fall, Ethan was gone.

They didn’t even had a chance to defend themselves.

His heavy footsteps echoed through the sewers, along with the whistling of his sword that cut down anyone unlucky enough to cross his path.

He didn’t ask if they were bandits or not, nor did he even care.

His mind was clouded, his blood burned with a deep anger and the only thing that mattered to him was getting to Victoria, eliminating anyone daring or unlucky enough to get in front of him.

After leaving a trail of more than a dozen corpses in his wake, Ethan finally arrived at his destination and his call with Victoria indicated that she was only a few hundred meters away.

In front of him was a wooden door big enough to fit a giant and with a structure so firm that it could probably withstand a shot from a ballista.

Despite this, Ethan was not intimidated.

Holding his sword firmly, he maintained a wide stance, his feet planted on the ground as he prepared himself.

He gathered all his mana in his arms, spreading it across his sword before finally attacking.

A bang echoed through the sewers of Stormerga and the door shuddered, but held firm, a large horizontal gash in its structure.

"What the fuck? Is someone trying to break in?" A surprised voice sounded, as hurried footsteps echoed from behind the door.

Ethan could hear clearly as the thugs drew their weapons and gathered behind the door.

"It’s just a brat, and he looks hurt. I think we can handle it!" One of the thugs spoke after opening one of the hatches and looking at Ethan’s bloodied figure, not even knowing that the blood on his body wasn’t his own.

"Fuck! Didn’t you feel the power of that attack? I’ll call Mr. Gobini, we won’t be able to hold it off by ourselves!" Another thug shouted before rushing off.

"Mister Gobini... Huh?" Ethan muttered, his already enraged eyes blazing with even more anger. "So you’re the bastard who dared to hurt one of my women!?" he roared before attacking again.
