Tiger (Part 1) 903: Chapter 0903: Tank vs.

Tiger (Part 1) Before the great battle, intelligence was the most crucial element.

After settling everyone down, Long Fei left with Bald Dog and headed towards the base fifty miles away.

His body sprouted blue scales as he transformed into the form of a demon, ready to scout the area.

Now, he looked just like a blue python that had attained spirituality.

If Lin Yingying and the others were to see this, they would definitely fall ill from fright.

Bald Dog’s nose twitched, and he darted into a patch of grass, shouting to Long Fei, “Master, there’s something going on here.”

“What is it?”

Long Fei approached.

Bald Dog’s paws tapped on a hole the size of a fist, saying, “There’s quite a strong demonic qi in here, huh?”

Long Fei raised his eyebrows and sized up the hole.

The stench of field mice hit him; it was indeed full of demonic qi.

Long Fei’s spiritual power traveled down the hole.

Inside, the cave was a crisscrossed maze, seemingly bottomless with no end in sight.

He withdrew his spiritual power, took off his pants, and after relieving himself inside, he grumbled, “Damn, even the spies of the Demon Clan have come here.”

Bald Dog stared at him, pondering for a moment, “Master, don’t you think demons shouldn’t wear clothes?”

Long Fei glanced at himself; his boxers and T-shirt were indeed from the other world and looked somewhat out of place on him.

But being naked was just too ridiculous.

That thing swinging about, especially if he encountered a pretty female demon, would surely cause trouble.

Long Fei rummaged through his storage ring and took out a blue tunic of the Daoist Sect to wear.

As a high demon who had attained the Dao, what’s wrong with wearing clothes?

He left with Bald Dog, and a fuzzy little creature peeked out from afar, frowning at them, “Such powerful demonic qi, who are they?”

Although the two mountain peaks could be seen from afar,

crossing them required a fifty-mile trek through the mountains.

For Long Fei and Bald Dog, though, this distance was not an issue.

On their way, they also casually surveyed the terrain.

On the ground, medicinal herbs were commonplace, which to the denizens of this world and Cultivation Sects, was just ordinary stuff.

But if taken to their world, they would be top-grade Chinese medicines, selling for excellent prices in the secular world.

Take the wild Panax notoginseng used for treating sprains and injuries; in the outside world, the root was at most the size of a ginger piece.

But in this world, Long Fei dug up one casually.

This root, it was as thick as a radish.

Long Fei looked at the mountainside covered with treasures, hands on hips, with an air of grandeur, “In the future, all this will belong to us.

Just these herbs alone will make us a fortune.”

Bald Dog looked at his money-grubbing expression and despised him for a moment, “Master, you’re the leader of a Sect; how can you only focus on these trivial things?”

Long Fei shot him a glance, “You wouldn’t understand the value of firewood and rice unless you manage a household.

Our Yin Yang Sect has thousands of mouths to feed.

If we don’t find ways to make money, how will we support them?”

Bald Dog replied, “Then why not just cultivate on our own and be a Loose Cultivator?

Wouldn’t it be great?

We could wander around the world.

If we find something good, we snatch it, and we’re guaranteed a comfortable life.”

Long Fei laughed, “The path of a Loose Cultivator is ultimately limited, incapable of achieving great things.

Sunx Wukong is powerful, isn’t he?

But he still had to manage his own Flower Fruit Mountain and even found Buddhism as a backer.

Tell me, how many Loose Cultivators have made it big?”

Bald Dog thought about it and realized there really weren’t any.

Every great hero needs a band of brothers; without developing one’s own power, relying solely on one’s own strength, it’s impossible to stand firm.

The biggest advantage of being a Loose Cultivator is that you can fight or flee as you please, without worries.

But establishing a Sect is harder; you can run away from a Monk, but not from his temple.

The responsibilities on your shoulders are different, as are the rights and duties you enjoy.

Having come this far, Long Fei was resolute and would not turn back.

He and Bald Dog leisurely made their way to the opposite camp, which was actually guarded by two rows of Demon Soldiers at the entrance.

Each one looked rather rough, with their transformations obviously not fully perfected.

Either they had dog heads or bear bodies.

The weapons in their hands were also quite crude; the Demon Clan had no talent when it came to magic artifacts and pills.

Being able to wield an iron-cast weapon meant one was at the rank of a Demon General.

Under normal circumstances, the mist these Demon Soldiers emitted was their own claws, or they wielded knives fashioned from bones.

When the two approached, the weapons in the hands of two rows of Demons Soldiers clattered together as they shouted in unison, “Halt, what demon are you and where do you come from?”

Long Fei’s lips curved into a sneer, arrogance written all over his face.

He stepped forward and smacked the leading demon across the face twice, barraging it with scolding words, “Blinded by your own damn dog eyes, don’t you know who I am?”

The dog-headed demon stared blankly at Long Fei for a moment, then replied in a panic, “Are you from the Golden Snake Lord’s faction?”

Long Fei, following the lead offered by the demon’s words, commanded, “Good, now out of my way!”

“Quick, quick, make way!”

The dog-headed demon, frightened, hurriedly waved his hands, ordering the Demon Soldiers to clear a path for Long Fei.

Bald Dog shook its head, thinking to itself how a coward had emerged from its own Dog Clan.

If it had been in that situation, it would have fought back recklessly, no matter the consequences.

Whoever dared to strike it would face its wrath.

With his hands behind his back, Long Fei hummed a little tune, musing to himself that demons and humans were alike; bullying the weak and fearing the strong were the norm.

In the camp, there was a stench of feces, disgustingly potent.

Although these demons had taken human forms, their habits remained unchanged and they relieved themselves wherever they pleased.

Long Fei accidentally stepped on some feces and, feeling disgusted, wiped his shoe on the ground several times, unable to identify the source of the mess.

The situation here was somewhat better than he had imagined.

The barracks were mostly intact and could be patched up and used to house people right away.

Huge demonic beasts, tethered in the yard by transformed demons, devoured canned food by the mouthful.

They consumed the fruit-flavored tin cans without even bothering to open them.

Snapping down on a can, they relished the juice spraying out, savoring the tangy delight.

In the area where weapons were stored, a black bear demon as big as an elephant was hauling a Type 99 tank out with a rope.

Um!

Um!

Um!

A mob of demons shouted in strange tones, waving their long spears as if they had captured some prized game.

A spotted tiger demon hopped on top of it and gestured for the little demons to quiet down.

He pounded his chest and loudly lamented, “Brothers, this Iron Turtle wounded many of our comrades that day!

It kept spewing fire and thundering.

With a single thunderous blast, more than a dozen of our brothers were killed.

The day after tomorrow, when we launch a full counterattack against the Human Race, we will sacrifice this Iron Turtle as our banner.

Everyone, guard it closely and make damn sure this Iron Turtle doesn’t escape.”

“Power!”

“Power!”

“Power!”

The little demons shouted and waved their weapons, chopping and smashing against the tank’s steel surface, which rang out loudly and sparked from the impact.

Laughing, Long Fei said to Bald Dog, “Do you think this old tiger would be blown to pieces if it took a direct hit from the cannon?”

Bald Dog shook its head.

Pretending to blend in, Long Fei pushed his way through the crowd and started jumping around on top of the tank.

While the demons were distracted, he quickly opened the hatch and slipped inside.

Bald Dog also crawled inside, and with a thud, shut the lid.

The demons stopped and one of them looked puzzled, saying, “Did I just see something sneak in there?”

“Yeah?

It seemed like there was something.”

“It looked like a dog!”

“Can this turtle shell even be opened?”

The crowd of demons clambered on top, pulling hard at the hatch, trying to pry it open.

All of a sudden, a puff of black smoke belched from the rear of the tank.

The sounds of the engine roared to life with a loud buzz, as it started up.
