The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 84 - 084: The Mysterious Disappearance of the Man
CHAPTER 84: CHAPTER 084: THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF THE MAN
"You want to leave that man?" The abrupt sound of a man’s voice interrupted Sienna Johnson’s thoughts. She looked up and saw an unknown man who had appeared in the room.
This man was none other than the elusive and mysterious stranger.
Sienna Johnson rubbed her forehead. "How did you do that?"
"What?"
"Disappear and reappear in my hospital room?"
A look of disdain flickered on the man’s face, as if he found her question strange. "This is not a heavily guarded military area, just an ordinary hospital room. Is there a problem with me being able to come and go freely?"
Alright, she was just ignorant.
"Who are you, really?" Sienna Johnson could tell from his tone that he was no ordinary person and became more curious about him.
Instead of saying what he did for a living, the man answered, "My name is Lucas Robertson. You saved me, and I will repay you. What do you need my help with?"
Sienna Johnson looked at the ordinary-looking man in front of her and thought his claim was a bit far-fetched. "Who do you think you are? The genie from Aladdin’s lamp? If I summon you, you can grant my wishes?" she said mockingly.
"It’s not for you to worry about. Just tell me your wish, and I will help you achieve it." The man’s eyes were steady and confident. It was quite incongruous that such eyes were on such a plain face.
Sienna Johnson casually said, "I want to leave Adrian Desmond; I want to leave here. Can you help me do that?"
"Just this wish?" Lucas Robertson asked, disappointed. He had thought it would be something more challenging.
"What’s wrong?"
"Such a simple thing doesn’t need my help."
So, he thought her desire to leave was trivial and unworthy of his help. Sienna Johnson then looked more closely at the man in front of her, becoming even more curious about this Lucas Robertson.
"Don’t you know that I’ve tried to escape before, but Adrian Desmond still caught me? Everyone here is on his side, and I’m pregnant now; it’s really difficult for me to leave." Sienna Johnson’s eyes dimmed, and a faint bitterness laced her tone.
"Alright, I’ll help you leave here," Lucas Robertson agreed.
Sienna Johnson’s eyes brightened, and she raised an eyebrow at the man in front of her, asking, "Can you really help me leave here?"
"If I promise you something, I will naturally do it. But, I still have to take revenge on Maxwell Bradford and kill him. After that, I’ll take you away myself. Where do you want to go?"
Sienna Johnson’s identity was fake. If she told this man her real home address, she would lose all her leverage. Could she really trust this stranger completely?
"Take me back to Raelnia." Adrian Desmond knew she was from Raelnia. Once in Raelnia, she could travel from there back to Orienta. Even if Adrian Desmond found out, it didn’t matter; Raelnia was so big, let him search.
"Alright."
After Lucas Robertson finished speaking, he disappeared with a WHOOSH. Sienna Johnson had grown accustomed to the man’s mysterious comings and goings, and she was not as surprised as she had been the first time.
"Can I really leave?" Sienna Johnson murmured to herself.
Originally lifeless, her heart had sprouted hope because of Lucas Robertson’s words—a hope that blossomed from the ashes of despair.
After staying at the hospital for a whole month, Sienna Johnson was finally taken back to the Desmond Family by Adrian Desmond. She had initially wanted to stay longer, waiting for Lucas Robertson, but Lucas Robertson never appeared again.
At the hospital, Sienna Johnson had gained some weight. Her face was now smooth and radiant, like the bright moon in the sky. Adrian Desmond’s usual gaze at her had become increasingly intense.
"Where’s Mrs. Desmond?" Sienna Johnson asked Kiki by her side.
"Who?"
"Melanie Carpenter."
"Miss Carpenter was sent to Aurinnois by the Sixth Master." Selena Robertson thought Sienna Johnson would be happy to hear this news, but instead, Sienna Johnson snorted coldly. "The Sixth Master really dotes on her. Knowing there was danger, he sent her away."
"Mai, what are you talking about? I don’t understand," Kiki said.
Sienna Johnson had been feeling a little irritable lately. That guy named Lucas Robertson had promised to help her escape, but after a month, he had just disappeared.
"Madam, what would you like for dinner today?" The Housekeeper’s wife, Affen, came over and asked.
"I want hot pot."
"Hot pot?"
"Kiki, let’s have hot pot tonight. You can come with me to buy the ingredients for hot pot." Sienna Johnson had just returned. Before she even had a chance to unpack her luggage, she grabbed Kiki and headed out.
"But, the Sixth Master will be back soon. If he doesn’t see you..."
"Kiki, in your heart, who is more important, me or the Sixth Master?"
Without any hesitation, Kiki answered, "Of course it’s you. If you hadn’t saved me, I might have been tormented to death by them long ago."
"As long as you know."
Selena Robertson wisely closed her mouth.
As they reached the door, Housekeeper Mr. Lucas came to stop them. "Madam, if you need anything, just tell me, and I’ll have someone buy it."
"I’ve been cooped up in the hospital for too long and want to go out for a walk."
Mr. Lucas wiped the sweat from his forehead and blocked the door, not allowing Sienna Johnson to leave. "Madam, the Sixth Master will be back soon, so please don’t go out."
"Get out of the way!"
"Madam, please don’t make things difficult for me!"
Sienna Johnson was pregnant now, and no one dared to provoke her. The bodyguards knew her temper, and none of them dared to approach. If anyone did and she claimed her stomach hurt, they would be the ones to suffer the consequences.
"I’m not in prison! I have my freedom!" Sienna Johnson pushed Mr. Lucas away and strode out.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and follow her." In addition to the bodyguards already assigned to protect Sienna Johnson, Mr. Lucas assigned several more to secretly guard her. Still uneasy, he hurriedly called Adrian Desmond.
Sienna Johnson was only out for half an hour before returning. She knew Adrian Desmond had many enemies and didn’t want to stupidly put herself in harm’s way.
When she returned with all the ingredients for the hot pot, Sienna Johnson still had not run into Lucas Robertson.
"Mai, what exactly are you looking at?" Kiki asked.
"Nothing. Let’s go back."
"Alright." Kiki couldn’t wait to get back home and nodded repeatedly when Sienna Johnson agreed to return.
「Desmond Family residence, kitchen.」
For the homemade hot pot, Sienna Johnson also bought some offal like yellow throat and beef tripe, as well as beef and pork.
After looking at the side dishes, Sienna Johnson decided to cut the beef into thin slices and marinate them. She would make the pork into cilantro meatballs, along with special hot pot sausages and luncheon meat.
There were many vegetables: lotus root, potatoes, winter melon, celtuce, bamboo shoots, oyster mushrooms, bean curd skin, bean gluten, vermicelli, and so on. These were all easy to prepare; she just needed to wash and cut them.
"Mai, don’t move, I’ll do it." The chef had been driven away by Sienna Johnson, and Kiki had been insisting on doing all the work, afraid that Sienna Johnson would tire herself out.
Sienna Johnson watched the woman diligently washing and cutting vegetables, her heart moved. She quietly asked, "Would you be willing to go to my home with me?"
"Your home?"
"Yes, my home."
