CHAPTER 92: CHAPTER 092: DON’T WANT TO ATTEND THE WEDDING

Seeing that no one else was around and that Sienna Johnson’s face looked terrible, Kiki worriedly asked, "Mai, are you alright?"

"What could possibly be wrong with me?" Sienna retorted.

"What Bella Ford said earlier..."

"Her words are just a load of crap to me!"

Sienna cursed, her face immediately darkening. Adrian Desmond was only going to marry Melanie Carpenter; he hadn’t even married her yet, and Bella Ford already dared to point at Sienna’s nose and curse at her.

If it weren’t for the circumstances, she wouldn’t even bother competing with Melanie over a philandering man. With her methods, did Melanie genuinely think she could marry Adrian with just her petty schemes?

Her stomach ached dully, so Sienna took a few deep breaths to calm herself.

"What’s wrong? Is your stomach upset?"

"It’s from the anger."

Kiki advised, "Just bear with it a little longer. After all, we’ll be leaving soon..."

"Right! We’re leaving soon, so let’s not cause any trouble. They’re a nest of vipers; let them create whatever chaos they want." Sienna consoled herself with this thought, and her anger finally subsided.

"How is he doing?"

Sienna couldn’t easily visit Lucas Robertson. However, Kiki often brought Lucas food, so Kiki knew his condition.

"He’s recovering well."

"Hurry him! Tell him I don’t want to stay here and attend that man’s wedding!"

"I know."

「...」

Bella Ford, fuming, went to find Melanie Carpenter. Not only had Bella failed to get the upper hand with Sienna, but she had also been scolded by Adrian, who warned her that if she dared to be presumptuous again, he’d make her leave immediately.

"Who bullied you? Why are you crying?" Melanie, lying on her bed, asked when she saw Bella’s red eyes.

Bella plopped down on a chair, fidgeting, and said, "Who else could it be? That seductress."

"I told you not to mess with her." Melanie sat up, propping a pillow behind her, her brow furrowed.

"I didn’t provoke her! I just couldn’t stand it and said a few things to her. You have no idea how hateful that woman is. She knew you were sick and still had the nerve to play the piano. How can she be so malicious? Is she so happy you’re sick that she has to play the piano to celebrate?"

Bella then recounted what Sienna had said earlier.

"She actually said that someone like you, who’d attempt suicide over unrequited love, doesn’t deserve sympathy and deserves to die..."

"..."

"Cousin, how can she be so malicious?"

Melanie remained silent, half her face hidden in shadow, her expression unreadable. Worried, Bella asked, "Cousin, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell again? I’ll call Sixth Brother."

Melanie spoke to stop her, "Don’t go. I’m fine."

"Then it must be that woman who upset you!"

"..."

"Cousin, don’t stoop to her level. She’s just pretty, that’s all. I’d like to see how long she can keep up her act."

Melanie looked at Bella, her voice weak as she said, "Don’t mess with her anymore. That woman is not to be trifled with."

Melanie clearly remembered how fierce that woman could be, daring to strike out even in front of Adrian if provoked. She and Adrian were childhood sweethearts, yet she still had to be mindful of his moods, while Sienna wasn’t afraid of Adrian at all... and his heart belonged to Sienna.

"Cousin, why are you afraid of her? Don’t forget, Sixth Brother is marrying you."

Melanie was not as naïve as Bella; she saw things more clearly. "Once Sixth Brother marries me, he will soon marry her too. Sixth Brother won’t let her suffer the slightest grievance."

"I just don’t understand why Sixth Brother likes her so much. Besides being prettier, what other good qualities does she have?"

"When it comes to matters of the heart, who can truly understand them?" Melanie looked at her bandaged wrist, knowing that an ugly scar would inevitably be left beneath the white gauze.

"Cousin, I think Sixth Brother still likes you the most. Look, as soon as he heard you were sick, he immediately came to Aurinnois to see you. You were unconscious at the time and didn’t know, but Sixth Brother was terrified when he arrived," Bella said proudly, but Melanie’s face showed no joy.

This time, she had forced Adrian’s hand. He wasn’t a fool; he was merely giving face to the elders of both families. Perhaps this incident had significantly eroded whatever feelings he once had for her.

「...」

Many preparations were needed for Adrian and Melanie’s wedding, and Mr. Lucas was busy running around in circles. Even Adrian was preoccupied. Sienna behaved very well during this time and didn’t cause any trouble for Adrian. Being generous, Adrian waved his hand and gifted her a luxurious yacht worth over a hundred million.

At that moment, Sienna was on this luxurious yacht, enjoying the sea breeze, sipping juice, and playing on her iPad. If only those bodyguards would disappear from her sight.

"He’s in your room and wants to see you," Kiki whispered, seizing the opportunity while handing Sienna a tissue.

The "he" Kiki referred to was Lucas Robertson.

Lucas Robertson had also boarded the yacht.

Although Sienna cooperated perfectly, not crying or making a fuss, Adrian still didn’t trust her. When she requested to go out on the yacht, Adrian agreed but assigned over fifty skilled bodyguards, including ten female ones. Unless she was in her own room, she was constantly surrounded.

"Understood."

Sienna wore a peach-pink spaghetti-strap short dress over white shorts. Beneath her large, woven sun hat was a palm-sized, delicate face. Though without makeup, her complexion was radiant.

"I’m tired and going to rest. You two don’t need to follow me," Sienna said to the two expressionless female bodyguards behind her.

"Sixth Master instructed us to protect Madam."

"We’re surrounded by sea. Do you think I can sprout wings and fly away?" Sienna retorted, her tone displeased as she frowned at the female bodyguard named Resa standing before her.

"Madam, it’s always better to be cautious."

Resa was utterly loyal to Adrian and paid no heed to Sienna’s words. Sienna snorted coldly and returned to her room.

As Sienna entered her room and Resa tried to follow, Sienna slammed the door shut with a BANG and locked it from the inside, clearly showing her dissatisfaction.

「...」

Lucas Robertson emerged from the bathroom. Sienna put a finger to her lips, signaling for silence, then slipped into the bathroom herself.

Kiki turned on the stereo, cranking up the volume so Resa outside couldn’t hear, and then stood guard in the room.

The bathroom was spacious, but with nowhere to sit, Sienna perched on the toilet lid, having Lucas stand while they talked.

"Are you ready? When can we leave?"

Sienna really couldn’t stand it anymore. She wondered if Melanie had put Bella up to it; that Bella Ford was truly detestable. Bella would constantly send her updates about the wedding: Adrian and Melanie’s wedding rings, their wedding photos...
