CHAPTER 30: CHAPTER 30: DO YOU THINK I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO?
Summer stood calmly as if she was unaware that Stella had called the police.
Soon, the officers stationed near the airport arrived, accompanied by an ambulance.
Seeing that the timing was right, Summer walked over to Clarissa Stanton and, while she was distracted, suddenly lifted Clarissa’s arm.
"Ah—" Clarissa cried out in pain, pushing Summer away with her other hand and screaming in fear, "Mom!! She’s hitting me again!"
Stella raised her hand, ready to slap Summer, but realizing the officers had arrived, she forcibly restrained herself and turned to the officer, saying, "Quick, arrest her! She broke my daughter’s hand!"
The officer glanced at Summer, seeing a face of pure innocence, and found it hard to believe she could break someone’s hand.
"Doctor! Please come and examine the victim’s injury," the officer called the doctor over.
Clarissa quickly pointed to her injured hand, telling the doctor, "It’s this hand, I can’t move it at all. It hurts terribly whenever it moves."
The doctor hurried over to examine, but after thorough checking, displayed a doubtful expression, glancing back and forth between Summer and Clarissa.
"Doctor, what’s wrong?" Clarissa asked. "Is my hand... unable to recover?"
Stella was terrified, angrily saying, "Officer, arrest this criminal immediately!"
Summer coldly replied, "Auntie, I call you Auntie, so please refrain from calling me a criminal. If you continue to do so, I can sue you for slander."
"Slander?" Stella pointed at Summer’s nose, scolding, "You broke your sister’s hand, and you’re saying I’m slandering?"
Summer raised her eyebrows and said, "Auntie, don’t speak too soon, or your face might sting later. Let’s see what the doctor says first."
Stella saw Summer’s calm and confident demeanor, and couldn’t help but feel a bit flustered.
But with plenty of evidence this time, she didn’t believe Summer could still argue.
This time, she was determined to send Summer straight to jail!
With this thought, Stella impatiently asked the doctor, "Doctor, have you finished examining? Is my daughter’s hand broken?"
The doctor glanced at Stella, his expression wasn’t good.
He replied coldly, "Madam, do you think we are all idle, helping you manage family disputes?"
Stella froze, puzzled, "What do you mean?"
The doctor ignored her, directly turning to the officer, "The lady has no injuries whatsoever. There are other patients at the airport; I’m leaving first."
This left Stella and Clarissa in shock.
How could there be no injury?
Clarissa tried moving her hand, surprisingly finding it didn’t hurt anymore.
She attempted to exert force, discovering her arm’s strength had returned.
"What... what’s happening?" Clarissa looked at Stella, "Mom, my hand seems to be fine..."
"Really?" Stella touched Clarissa’s hand, and indeed, there was no pain.
While Stella breathed a sigh of relief, she suddenly became angry again, glaring at Summer and questioning, "What did you do?!"
Summer replied coldly, "I should be asking you, what are you doing? Reporting a false injury, is it fun? Do you have to expose family scandals to everyone?"
Clarissa burst out, "I didn’t report a false injury! My hand was clearly broken just now! Summer, stop pretending! Mom, look at her!"
