The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day
Chapter 31: Lost Memory Again?
CHAPTER 31: CHAPTER 31: LOST MEMORY AGAIN?
Stella Monroe’s face alternated between blue and white, but she understood that they had fallen into Summer Monroe’s trap once again.
This girl who seemed naive about the world really had deep schemes!
Stella Monroe and her mother were finally reprimanded by the officer. With no real evidence of a fight and the area being a blind spot for surveillance, they had to swallow their pride and apologize to the officer.
They say things don’t happen more than three times; this was already the fourth time they had stumbled because of Summer Monroe.
They definitely could not underestimate her again!
Once the officer left, Clarissa Stanton unleashed a torrent of curses at Summer Monroe: "Bitch! What’s with the act? Got the guts to hit but not to admit?"
Summer Monroe shrugged: "I didn’t do anything, so what is there to admit?"
"Shameless!"
"Learned it from you."
"You—"
Clarissa Stanton realized her words were no match for Summer Monroe and was instantly enraged. If it weren’t for Stella Monroe holding her back, she might have rushed at Summer again.
Just then, the family car arrived, and Stella Monroe immediately took Clarissa Stanton into the car.
This time, Stella Monroe couldn’t be bothered even to put on a show of decorum and left without Summer Monroe.
Summer Monroe had her own matters to attend to. Originally, she needed an excuse to get off midway, but seeing Stella leave without her, she just slightly curled her lips—it worked out well for her.
Taxis were hard to come by at the airport, so Summer waited patiently by the roadside.
Before long, a black business car stopped in front of her.
Summer Monroe took two steps back cautiously, only to see the backseat window roll down, revealing Damian Knight’s face.
Just as Summer hesitated about whether to greet Damian Knight, he spoke first: "Lost your memory again?"
Summer Monroe felt awkward: "I didn’t..."
"If not, then get in," Damian Knight’s tone was unquestionable.
Summer Monroe hesitated for a moment and refused: "I’ll just catch a cab myself..."
"Why? You think I have some designs on you?" Damian Knight glanced at her askance, clearly looking at her but seeming not to see her at all, evidently dismissing her.
Summer Monroe was speechless, not narcissistic enough to think he was interested in her, alright?
But since Damian Knight said so, Summer didn’t want to waste any more time and directly got in from the other side of the car.
Once the door closed, Summer Monroe said: "Just drop me at the bank nearby, thank you."
Damian Knight did not speak, focusing on the newspaper in his hands as if Summer Monroe wasn’t even there.
The assistant in the front seat wondered why Damian Knight, who never read newspapers in the car, suddenly did, and seeing his deliberate ignoring of Summer, he made some guesses.
Sometimes the more indifferent one acts, the more they actually care inside.
The assistant speculated that Summer Monroe’s identity was unusual and proactively responded for Damian Knight, "We’ll take you to the bank near Three Bridges; it’s easier to catch a cab there."
"Thank you," Summer Monroe sincerely expressed her gratitude.
"No problem..." The assistant couldn’t help but smile.
When a beautiful woman thanks you, anyone would involuntarily smile.
However, the next moment, the assistant caught a glimpse of Damian Knight’s cold stare in the rearview mirror, a gaze that seemed capable of killing.
The assistant was so scared he broke into a cold sweat, daring not to exchange another word with Summer Monroe.
Half an hour later, they reached the Three Bridges Bank. Just as Summer was about to thank them after getting off, Damian Knight had already instructed the driver: "Drive!"
The car sped away, leaving Summer Monroe bewildered.
What on earth was he so upset about?
Summer Monroe decided not to bother with him, took the supplementary card Henry Stanton had given her, and headed into the bank.
A few minutes later, Summer Monroe emerged from the bank.
