CHAPTER 332: CHAPTER 332: HELPING YOU GET REVENGE

The wound was long, like a centipede. Leah Lowell gestured with her hand, measuring it about the length of her own hand.

Leah couldn’t imagine how terrifying such a wound must be, and how Summer Monroe stitched it up without so much as blinking. Watching it made her scalp tingle and filled her with pity.

How much pain must such a wound cause?

Leah looked towards the woman, and noticed that apart from appearing paler than before, the woman didn’t even frown.

Incredible.

Remarkable.

Both of them were tough.

After Summer carefully treated every wound on the woman’s body, she helped her change into loose, clean clothes.

Having done all this, Summer’s back was drenched in sweat.

She exhaled slightly and said, "Okay, now you can tell me what happened."

The woman looked at Leah again—she still didn’t trust Leah, or perhaps, she didn’t trust anyone except Damian Knight.

As for her trust in Summer, it stemmed from Damian Knight.

Perceptively, Leah offered, "I’ll wait outside while you two talk."

Summer nodded, and after the door closed, the woman finally spoke, "Miss Monroe, thank you."

"It’s what I should do." Summer shook her head and said, "Now can you tell me what exactly happened?"

The woman pressed her lips together, as if recalling a painful memory, and with tightly knit brows said, "Yesterday, we were following your car to ensure your safety, but as we passed a highway overpass, a truck parked on the emergency lane suddenly crashed into us... The truck was too huge and it happened so suddenly, car and all, we plunged into the river below."

The woman paused in silence for a long time.

Summer waited quietly, without urging her.

After a full two minutes, the woman spoke again, "As we fell, Donnie and Nate immediately lost their pulse, while Bella slipped into a coma... Water kept rushing into the car. I broke the window to try to get Bella out. But..."

The woman’s voice choked at this point.

"But... I was injured, and the water was already above my head. I really had no choice but to get myself out first... When I wanted to call for help, those people came after me. I had to leave Bella and swim across the river by myself. But they kept hunting for me, and it wasn’t until a few hours ago that I finally found a chance to escape."

After speaking, the woman broke down in tears.

Summer could see that the woman was trying hard to suppress her sobs as she shook uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face, but not making a sound.

Summer closed her eyes, unsure of how to console her.

After some time, when the woman finally calmed down again, Summer spoke, "I will help you get revenge!"

Whether it was the deaths of those three persons or the two explosions, she had kept track of each debt.

The woman looked at Summer’s beautiful face, surprised to see an intense murderous aura that didn’t match her appearance, almost resembling Damian Knight’s presence.

She stared dumbfounded for two seconds and said, "Thank you, Miss Monroe... But you don’t need to do anything. My mission is to keep you safe. As long as you are safe, their deaths weren’t in vain."

Summer was taken aback, amazed at the woman’s loyalty.

She smiled slightly and said, "It seems Damian Knight treats you well."

The woman shook her head, "This is a debt we owe him. If not for him, we would have died in Myanmar long ago. Our lives already belonged to him."
