The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day
Chapter 38: You Biased Stinky Man
CHAPTER 38: CHAPTER 38: YOU BIASED STINKY MAN
But then the smile at the corner of Damian Knight’s mouth faded away.
An ordinary girl having physical relations with him wasn’t something to be happy about; he was still considering whether to marry her.
He couldn’t even bring himself to fancy her!
While the two emotional figures in Damian Knight’s mind were at war, Isaac Ross patted his shoulder and asked, "Damian, aren’t you curious too? Why don’t we invite her out to meet?"
"Boring, not meeting." Damian Knight refused directly, expressionless.
Ryder Quinn wasn’t at all surprised by Damian Knight’s reaction and teased, "President Knight is only interested in work; it would be bizarre if he showed interest in women. But President Knight, isn’t your mom always pushing you to date, eager for grandchildren? Do you really have no thoughts about women at all?"
"None." Damian Knight answered firmly, "Women are all troublemakers; among the four of us, only someone as idle as you would be interested."
Having a woman is equated with having trouble.
His parents’ marriage was a wretched one, which even led to his father’s death...
So he resists and even fears marriage.
"Who says I’m the only idle person?" Ryder Quinn didn’t notice the gloom on Damian Knight’s face and pointed to Julian Kingston, who was drinking sullenly, saying, "Isn’t this guy getting depressed looking for a woman?"
Isaac Ross denied, "Julian is not like you; he’s looking for the girl who saved him, don’t drag him into this."
Ryder Quinn scoffed, "Look at his lifeless expression, dark circles; who’s buying that he’s just looking for a savior?"
Damian Knight glanced at the visibly weary Julian Kingston, reached out, and snatched the glass from his hand.
"Stop drinking! How much have you had already?"
Julian Kingston furrowed his brows; since the one who took away his glass was Damian Knight, he didn’t snatch it back and sat in silence.
Isaac Ross asked curiously, "It’s been almost half a month, how come you haven’t found the girl who saved you abroad?"
Ryder Quinn, playing off Isaac Ross’s words, joked, "Someone even you couldn’t locate, could she be a ghost? Was it a ghost girl who saved you?"
Damian Knight’s brows immediately furrowed.
He’s also been investigating Summer Monroe for nearly a week and still found nothing. But Summer Monroe isn’t a ghost; she’s a living, breathing human.
He reprimanded coldly, "Don’t joke about such pointless things."
Ryder Quinn, seeing the serious solemnity on Damian Knight’s face, shrugged and said sorrowfully, "Just a joke, why such a big reaction? Always protecting Julian, you’re biased, you stinking man!"
Damian Knight, too lazy to engage Ryder Quinn, took a sip of his drink, letting frustration rise within him.
Who on earth is that girl...?
Stanton Manor.
Summer Monroe finally received the asset information of Stella Monroe sent by her subordinates.
Stella Monroe’s total assets amount to three billion, and most of the money is tucked away in secret offshore accounts, while the overseas fixed assets are all managed by the same man.
Summer Monroe narrowed her eyes slightly as she looked at the computer screen.
If she’s not mistaken, Henry Stanton probably isn’t aware of this money.
Considering Henry Stanton’s mismanagement, most of the Monroe Family’s money should have ended up in Stella Monroe’s pockets.
It seems the true owner of the Stanton Group now isn’t Henry Stanton, but Stella Monroe.
What an interesting discovery...
While Summer Monroe was attentively reading the email, a knock suddenly sounded on the door.
