The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day
Chapter 63: You Can’t Fire Me!
CHAPTER 63: CHAPTER 63: YOU CAN’T FIRE ME!
Selina glared fiercely at the director, questioning him, "Are you the one in charge or am I?"
"I..." The director didn’t dare to speak further and looked at Summer Monroe pleadingly.
Summer said nothing, simply turned around and went back to the café to change into new clothes for the reshoot.
The second time, the third time...
Summer could no longer count how many takes she had done; her stamina was waning, and her lips had turned from cherry red to pale.
But Selina obviously had no intention of stopping, her expression becoming increasingly maniacal.
"Shoot again! You should be running faster!"
Without a word, Summer continued to change clothes again.
During the next shoot, as she pushed open the café door and ran two steps forward, a tall silhouette appeared before her.
Her path was suddenly blocked, and she quickly stopped in her tracks.
But the ground was too slippery; she staggered backward, and the umbrella in her hand fell to the ground with a "clap".
Summer thought she’d end up like that umbrella, falling head over heels, but a large hand firmly supported her waist and steadied her.
As soon as she stood firm, she felt something darken her vision; a black suit jacket was draped over her head, shielding her from the rain and blocking all her sight.
And her waist was firmly encircled by a large hand.
Who... is this?
Summer instinctively tried to struggle, but then heard a deep magnetic voice above her: "Turn off the rain! Stop filming!"
This voice... is it Damian Knight’s?
She couldn’t help but stop struggling, and in the next instant, she heard the rain stop.
The artificial rain had been turned off.
Watching from the monitors, Selina was shocked to see Damian Knight directly rush into the rain to stop Summer and protect her in his arms, an intense pain stabbing her heart followed by a flood of fear spreading through her body.
Damian Knight and Summer... are they?
"Good day, Young Master Knight!" Someone took the lead in greeting, and others quickly followed, respectfully greeting Damian Knight.
Some people noticed Summer being held in Damian Knight’s embrace and inadvertently glanced at Selina.
Selina felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave.
It’s over...
She’s completely finished...
Who could have thought a mere spokesperson could warrant Damian Knight’s protection?
Damian Knight, holding Summer, started walking toward the black business car parked not far away.
He walked past Selina, and his steps suddenly halted.
Selina felt a gaze as cold and sharp as a blade land on her, sending shivers down her spine.
She didn’t even dare to raise her head, wishing she could bury her head in the ground.
Not long after, perhaps just a few seconds, Damian Knight left with Summer.
He didn’t say anything...
It must be because she used to be his assistant.
It seems that Summer and Damian Knight’s relationship isn’t as good as she thought just moments ago.
That’s fortunate...
Selina felt as if she was reborn, letting out a deep breath.
She reached up to touch her forehead, discovering it was covered in cold sweat.
But then, she suddenly heard Damian Knight’s voice coming from ahead: "Spread the word, from now on no company under the Knight Group is to hire her!"
Wha- what?
Is he talking about me?
Selina snapped her head up, meeting Damian Knight’s dark, intense gaze.
Those eyes seemed to hold knives, ruthless and leaving no room for leniency.
—For those declared permanently unemployable by the Knight Group, no other company would dare take her.
She... had been blacklisted from the entire industry.
Selina’s legs weakened, and she collapsed onto the ground.
The ground was wet from the artificial rain, and she seemed thoroughly disheveled.
How could it turn out like this?
She was just doing business as usual, why would Damian Knight make such a decision without a word?
No, this can’t be!
Selina struggled to her feet and quickly ran towards Damian Knight.
"Young Master Knight! Listen to me! You can’t just fire me without knowing the full story!"
