The Billionaire's Mischievous Sweetheart
Chapter 113 - 110 Brother Long Wouldn’t Be Like This
CHAPTER 113: CHAPTER 110 BROTHER LONG WOULDN’T BE LIKE THIS
Hua Xiaomo, who was inside the restroom, watched as the two women fought bitterly. It was a situation where she couldn’t quite decide whether to leave or stay. Her beautiful face bore an inscrutable gloom, which seemed to darken even her amber pupils.
This philandering man really can’t be relied upon.
Fortunately, my Brother Long would never be like that.
Hua Xiaomo closed the door and simply sat down on the toilet lid, crossing her legs and closing her eyes to rest.
「Outside.」
The two women continued their scuffle. They seemed locked in a desperate struggle, as if they wouldn’t stop until one was beaten or crippled.
"President Qi, should we call security up here?" Both secretaries, Ms. Zhang and Ms. Lin, looked nervously toward their great and incredibly charismatic president.
That really is our president! With such chaos unfolding, he can still calmly review documents? Damn, he’s a true workaholic! So dedicated to his work! We’re truly no match for him!!
"No need. Let them continue ’playing’," Qi Longbing said indifferently. He then casually tossed aside his file folder, thrust his hands comfortably into his trouser pockets, stood up, and walked elegantly toward the restroom.
Suddenly, the sound of a lock turning startled Hua Xiaomo, and she reflexively opened her eyes.
Upon entering, Qi Longbing’s eyes held a sly, mischievous glint. He quickly locked the door again from the inside, completely ignoring the two women fighting fiercely in the main office area.
The man crossed his arms, a faint smile on his lips, and leaned back against the door. His legs were crossed, and a lock of his long hair fell rakishly over one eye, giving him an unbearably dashing and devilish air.
He smirked, his gaze falling on the woman perched on the toilet lid with her legs crossed, apparently asleep.
"I never realized Miss Hua had a penchant for napping while using the facilities. Would you like some company?" a teasing, pleasant male voice inquired.
An ethereal, delicate radiance infused Qi Longbing’s exceptionally handsome features, and his striking, crimson lips curved into an alluring arc as he watched her.
Hua Xiaomo met his gaze, feeling a wave of discomfort under its penetrating intensity.
"No need, President Qi," Hua Xiaomo laughed awkwardly. Seriously? She was only sleeping in the restroom out of sheer necessity! Compared to the chaotic and potentially dangerous situation outside, this small space felt considerably safer, at least.
But just as that thought crossed her mind, she immediately sensed something was off.
Qi Longbing walked toward her, his angelically handsome face bearing a subtly malicious smile.
Hua Xiaomo froze for a moment, then scrambled to get up.
"President Qi, you..." Hua Xiaomo stammered, looking at the excessively handsome man before her with some alarm.
The smile on his face was utterly bewitching, causing Hua Xiaomo’s heart to thump uncontrollably.
"Don’t be nervous. I’m looking out for your best interests. I’m sure you wouldn’t want those two women outside to discover you’re hiding in here, would you?" Qi Longbing said with a wicked smile. "So, before they’re gone, it’s better and safer for you to stay put right here."
Hua Xiaomo looked into his eyes and forced a stiff, awkward smile, silently conceding his point.
Qi Longbing smiled faintly.
Hua Xiaomo immediately leaned back, her head resting against the toilet tank, and tilted her face upward. Her messy fringe parted, revealing her stunning amber eyes.
"HEH..." Qi Longbing chuckled, a smile playing on his stunningly handsome face, his deep red lips pressed firmly together.
The two women outside were fighting tooth and nail, while this one woman inside was sitting here, eating an egg. It really wasn’t something to feel sorry about, was it?
He found Hua Xiaomo utterly adorable; so much so, he was at a loss for words. Quite amusing, wasn’t she?
And he felt he was being a little awkward. But was it necessary? She was his secretary now. He wanted her to take her work seriously. As for what she might want from him... he’d think about that later. For now, it was perfectly fine for her to just be his secretary.
