Chapter 447: Confession (2)
CHAPTER 447: CONFESSION (2)
The layer of worry slowly peeled off Haoran’s eyes and replaced with a distinct gleam. Its rims tinged soft layer of red, coming from the red moonlight dappling on them.
Though his facial expression was less expressive, Haoran’s heart was stirred by her words, that his mind had regarded the girl’s words as a sort of confession, a reciprocation of his feelings.
He was unsure if his ears were playing tricks. The only thing he could do was tightened his hug on her, stroking both of delicate and silky hands, like he was soothing his own anxious heart, waiting for those captivating words to spring out of her mouth again.
He lifted his head of the girl’s shoulder when he felt her neck moved. A tiny anticipation budded in him.
Thankfully, it was not only his mind painting delusions.
Chunhua stared at the man’s eyes directly. "I like you too. Perhaps not just after the night of Qixi Festival but in the Secret Realm after when you nearly died. I then realized that my feelings for you were deeper than friendship."
To the point, she actually didn’t mind forming a dao couple soul contract with him, bounded forever by life and death. If she was at Nascent Soul Stage at that time, she would already do it.
The memory of his nearly dying undoubtedly stung her heart.
A soft kiss was planted on his placating the man’s dreary heart and perhaps her own too.
Though obviously stunned by her initiative, Haoran didn’t resist. His heart palpitated in a joyful rhythm. Two pairs of callous hands slowly and cautiously moved on its own, one settled on the girl’s supple waist and the other one crept onto the back of the girl’s head, which made a gentle pull turning the soft kiss into a mild fiery exchange in a few seconds before the two parted, breathless.
In a close proximity, their breaths mingled with each other as if it was one.
With hazy eyes, Chunhua licked her lips which had Haoran’s residue. Why do his lips taste sweet and creamy?
"I—" Haoran wanted to say something but the girl had inched closer before he realized and his lips were captured once more.
Chunhua only wanted to kiss a little but she overestimated her restraint. The sweet, creamy and velvety suited her palette. The pleasant distinct notes registered in her brain and it made her craved for more. This must be the chocolate milk he said!
She made sure explore the man’s mouth, every nook and cranny in a clumsy yet teasing manner, as if she couldn’t get enough of the treat.
The light in Haoran’s eyes was getting murky.
Everywhere the tip of her tongue grazed, it would trigger a spark, leaving a scorching trail, eventually building up and exploding into a prairie fire in Haoran’s mind. His throat became parched like it was baked in the oven, under extreme heat and he found himself deepening the kiss, further raising the temperature between them, melting all the scenery surrounding them that they were the only two in the world.
Haoran’s back was pressed into the walls the gingerbread house, his body seemingly blended with the decorations as if he had become one of the pastries, rendered under Chunhua’s mercy.
On an angle they both can’t see, besides the underbrush planted on the fences of the Main Residence, Little Mantou closed his Junior Brothers’ eyes and admonished them.
"Don’t look!"
"Kya!"
"Chirp Chirp."
"Ji ji ji."
(What are they doing?)
Little Mantou snorted, "You’re too young to understand. It just means you’re going to call Handsome Brother ’Father’ soon." The white fox wrapped his tails around the little guys, ignoring their protests and brought them inside.
Chunhua pulled the man’s head forward and unconsciously added strength, finding the dessert in her mouth more tantalizing than the ones served on the plate.
Haoran only noticed the problem too late. His breath was sucked out of his lungs and he fainted.
Chunhua: Σ(っ °Д °;)っWhat happened?
The endurance and enthusiasm of a Cultivator was no joke.
Chunhua was shocked at the floating damage prompts that popped above his head but she was more astonished by her perverted acts!
Normally his lips wouldn’t taste anything besides mint but it was different moments ago to the point she lost herself.
"A’ran? A’ran?" She called out his name and when he remained like a withered lemon grass in her arms with head tilted back, she shook him out of fear.
"A’ran! Wake up!"
Did she kiss him too hard?
Fortunately, air filled the man’s lungs and he woke up after a few moments.
Chunhua was overwhelmed with guilt, "I’ll restrain myself next time." She had forgotten her strength for a moment.
Haoran lowered his eyes and looked at her swollen lips. The visual temptation caused tumultuous waves surged in his eyes. "No need." His fingers grazed on them.
Under the red moons, two shadows intertwined once more. Their hearts in a boat drifting off on a calm sea.
(A/N: Ayiee.)
....
The sun shone brightly on the horizon marking the beginning of the next day.
For the Quintera Region Folks, the death of two of the Abysmal Race’s Commanders symbolized their renewed hope that someday all of the abysmal race will be defeated.
Though it was a far-fetch dream, it still filled the smiles on their faces.
Chunhua had awakened up to see that the most second batch natives’ loyalty had raised to 80’s and 90’s, including the tsundere Uncle Dalloram.
Winston was the highest among them at 91 points.
On the other hand, Serena only moved to 71.
Should she catch a few more abysmal races to make them full?

The screen borders went dark and flashes of lightning effects were added, dazzling her eyes.
Chunhua said goodbye to her 25 gold coins with sadness.

She could imagine the system grinning by the red hearts floating on the screen.
