Chapter 56: Shooting bullets without a Gun
CHAPTER 56: SHOOTING BULLETS WITHOUT A GUN
Three cars were being chased. The first and second cars were of the same model, with thick armor and big tires, while the last one, just a few meters behind the second car, was just like Big Sister Liang Er’s service, smaller than the two driving in front of it.
Very oddly, the Undead monsters seem faster than when she encountered them this morning and were able to catch on to the last car that she reckoned was driving at its maximum speed, judging by the fact that there was smoke coming from its tires.
The situation was very dire. Ability users and military personnel could be seen nervously observing the situation and began roaring orders around.
"Snipers get into position."
"Roger. We’re in. Waiting for orders."
"Immediately fire!"
There were a series of sharp whistling sounds of bullets piercing the air, and Li Chunhua, whose sense of hearing was enhanced, covered her ears, finding them very loud and unpleasant.
"Pay extra attention to the sure to keep an eye on the military vehicles." The commander continued giving out orders.
"Protect them at all costs."
"Yes, sir." The men on the artillery hole responded.
"Ability users, we need your assistance once they get close." The commander turned to the line of people and respectfully requested earning him lot of side glances.
"Our abilities can’t be used at such a distance. Unless they approach, we can’t help as much." One of the ability users spoke before eyeing Gong Panli meaningfully, who was standing beside a young woman, wondering why he’s on the wall when he’s just an ordinary person.
"That’s enough. Thank you." The commander expressed his gratitude and went to supervise his soldiers.
Never mind. This pest, along with his parasites, will be done tomorrow night.
The woman stopped looking in Gong Panli’s direction and returned her attention toward the cars.
The people at the base’s gate sent back up to help the people in three cars. Four other cars coming out of the gate could be seen rushing.
Gong Panli recognizes those first two cars and the last one. They were the latest armored car from the base defense department, only used when important personnel are being escorted, which means one of the two must have the researchers in it.
"What’s wrong, Gentleman Gong?" Li Chunhua asked, detecting the anxiety on his face.
"Those two cars in front are from the Research Institute and Military Department, respectively, while the car in the back, if I’m not mistaken is Lightning Fist’s team, your opponents for tomorrow."
"My opponents?" She mumbled before narrowing her eyes and enhancing her vision with qi.
The bullets unleashed from the snipers’ gun managed to take only a few because some of the hot weapons didn’t have much effect on these high-level monsters because of their hardened bones, especially their craniums, and not all soldiers were very proficient.
Not long after there was a drastic change in the situation.
The people on the wall gasped and approached the edge so they get could get a better view.
The tires of the second car burst, and it slid off tracks before it tumbled upside down. The last car bypassed it, slowed down for a few seconds, probably trying to decide whether to save the people in it or not, but ultimately drove off because the Undead were already near and they clamored towards the wreck car after sensing the smell of blood.
Li Chunhua’s eyes narrowed. The others might be unaware, but she was able to witness what happened. A silhouette sneakily opened the car windows of the last vehicle and threw something on the second car’s tires, causing it to burst.
Such a coldblooded move just to pave more time for their escape, she remarked in her head.
The commander, observing the situation through the binoculars ahead, instantly roared. "Cover them. All units focus on helping the people in the crashed car."
"Copy that, Commander!"
This order was of utmost importance because these researchers carried the future of humanity.
"Hurry. Full speed ahead!" The one leading the rescue team on the cars shouted to the driver.
Gong Panli grabbed the edges of the wall in shock after he vaguely saw people dressed in white lab gowns come out of the destroyed car one by one, and they seemed to be seriously injured. "No, run, run, run, all of you!" He shouted from where he stood with a pale face.
A dozen Undead quickly rushed towards these helpless researchers.
The commander quickly urged the snipers to provide assistance, but they couldn’t eliminate all the threats. Some were able to slip from their onslaughts and lunged at the researchers.
"Oh no!" Almost everyone shouted at the same time.
Li Chunhua’s heart skipped a bit. Her eyes swept on the surroundings after finding there is nothing she could use, she summoned the Glock 17 and its ammunition out of her inventory but just a second later, she realized that she couldn’t use it.
[Firing Range: 50 meters]
Looking at the 300 meters distance, Li Chunhua was dispirited.
Useless!

The badly wounded researchers couldn’t run away. They leaned on the walls of the car before closing their eyes.
Just when everyone on the wall thought it would be over for those people, something miraculous had happened.
The Undead fell, followed by another one, then another.
The rescue team managed to arrive at this point. They killed the remaining ones and quickly assisted the wounded researchers inside the car before they went back.
"Well done, boys!" The commander praised the snipers because he thought they were the ones who did it.
The ability users were also very impressed and nodded at their performance.
The snipers retrieved from their focus on the battlefield after the researchers were rescued and looked at each other wondering who was responsible for it.
But all of them did the same thing, trying to find out who made the precise fatal shots however no one admitted.
No one except Gong Panli knew the truth. He looked down at the Glock 17 on his hand, which was placed on him by Li Chunhua, before looking at the box of bullets on her hand in a dazed look.
Li Chunhua sensed his stare, coughed in awkwardness. "The range was so small."
The weapon’s range was only 50 meters.
Therefore, without having second thoughts, she used her qi as a slingshot and as a trajectory guide, the hunting skill she learned from her Senior Sister.
Thankfully, the qi-infused bullets flew and hit the target just in time. Otherwise, some lives would be forfeited.
Gong Panli heard her words and was speechless.
(ʘᗩʘ’)
You shot the bullets without a gun and just your bare hands?
Just your bare hands because the gun’s firing range is small?
And still hit the targets from a long distance?
If he didn’t witness it personally, he would’ve not believe it even if he was beaten.
But ...it was so awesome that he wanted to kneel down.
He had seen other ability users fight but Li Chunhua’s move moments ago made the most impression on his mind.
(シ_ _ )シ
If there weren’t people around, he might really kneel.
"Miss Li, can I ask you a question?" Gong Panli inquired with a hopeful look.
"What?" She curiously probed.
"Are you taking in students?"
Li Chunhua:(─.─||)I’m afraid I might lead you astray.
The last time she taught someone, that person questioned his life because he didn’t have a progress in his cultivation for three year.
