The Cannon-Fodder Villainess Faked Her Death, Her Five Beast Mates Go Wild
Chapter 51: Disgusting Spiritual Pairing
CHAPTER 51: CHAPTER 51: DISGUSTING SPIRITUAL PAIRING
Solon’s expression stiffened, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
He had just come of age this year and joined the tribe’s chief guard team. He had heard about the leader’s ruthless methods and knew the leader did not respect females like typical males do, but he never imagined the leader had a Magnetic Chain.
The Magnetic Chain is a forbidden item in the Empire, obtainable only through special channels. It can affect magnetic fields, specifically used to restrict the spiritual power of Sin Beasts.
Likewise, it can render a female’s spiritual power ineffective, making Spiritual Pairing impossible even during mating...
But in the Empire, no male would treat a female like this!
Solon felt a pang of worry, glancing toward the female in front of him.
The dim firelight enveloped the female, her kneeling body slightly trembling, her cheeks obscured by long black hair, revealing only a tense jaw.
Out of unbearable humiliation, she bit her lips tight, oblivious to the blood seeping from them.
Not only Solon, the other males also cast strange looks at Wen Shu.
They had been around the leader for a long time, but this was the first time witnessing the leader treating a female in such a manner...
The males of the Empire consistently showed respect toward females; they couldn’t commit such despicable acts reserved for southern bandits, yet this single sentence was a profound insult.
What kind of evil deeds must this female have done to merit such humiliation from the leader?
The cave fell into an eerie silence.
Wen Shu hung her head low, enduring the varied gazes around her as her eyes gradually turned cold.
She, too, had heard of the Magnetic Chain.
The heroine had been bound by this object more than once, yet she, like a Stockholm syndrome patient, eventually forgave those males easily...
During that period, the treatment the heroine received was etched vividly in Wen Shu’s memory, but she was not one to submit meekly. She couldn’t accept such humiliation and would never allow herself to fall into that state!
Anger spread through her heart, Lucius’s nonchalant voice urged from the side, "Continue the treatment."
He leaned casually by the bonfire, his gaze fixated on Wen Shu, relishing her discomfort.
Sensing his gaze, Wen Shu steadied her rapid breathing, slowly raising her stiff arms, but when she reached for Solon, he suddenly grasped her wrist.
Wen Shu looked up, meeting the male’s gaze, noting his eyes flicker, easing his vigilant expression slightly.
Solon’s actions also drew the attention of the other males.
Feeling a bit tense under the scrutiny of his companions, Solon’s resolve hardened when his peripheral vision caught the female’s tearful, reddened eyes.
He looked at Lucius, his fist pressed against his chest, speaking earnestly, "Leader, the female has reached her limit; if this continues, her spiritual power will collapse, and she might never be able to heal other Beastmen again."
The males gasped, unable to believe he dared to go against the leader.
Everyone in the chief guard team had entered a Beast God Contract and would never betray the leader; if the leader grew angry at Solon, he would undoubtedly perish.
Yet, to the males’ surprise, not only did Lucius not get angry, he raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"You have a point," Lucius’s gaze swept over Wen Shu, his eyes deep with amusement as he gently instructed, "The treatment is almost done, you all divide into teams to patrol the surroundings, those not yet treated guard the entrance of the cave."
The males stood up one after another, casting admiring glances at Solon as they passed, yet Solon kept his head down, silently looking at Wen Shu, not responding to them.
Seeing him remain stationary, a familiar male nudged his shoulder, whispering, "Solon, the leader is watching you."
Prompted by his companion, Solon snapped out of it, hesitated briefly glancing at Wen Shu, and slowly walked out of the cave.
Once the males left, only the flickering sound of the bonfire remained in the cave.
Lucius’s gaze turned cold, a faint smile curved his lips as he approached the female by the fire, looking down at her, "You truly are a Fox Beast; in just a short while, you managed to have my loyal subordinates speak for you."
His tone full of mockery, the cruelty in his eyes brewing.
Wen Shu remained expressionless as if she hadn’t heard him, slowly supporting herself to stand with one hand.
She glanced around the now empty cave, her eyes gradually lifting to meet Lucius’s gaze, a piercing coldness flashed in her eyes.
"Lucius..." she quietly opened her lips, her voice cold and hoarse.
Standing by the warm bonfire, the aura around the female grew colder, her pupils narrowing into needle-sharp points, the shadows accentuating the intense darkness of her gaze, resembling a venomous snake revealing its fangs in the night.
Lucius squinted, sensing the frightening aura suddenly emanating from the female, a subtle yet chilling sense of crisis grew within him.
But as his gaze swept over her petite frame, the tension within abruptly eased, his eyes filled with disdain.
He stepped forward, grabbing the female’s collar, lifting her off the ground, his eyes condescending, as though looking at a lowly insect, "What did you call me?"
He unleashed the pressure of a High-level Beast, staring at the female, intending to torment her, hoping she’d tremble and beg for mercy.
Yet before he could act, a cold hand suddenly clamped onto his wrist.
Lucius’s lips pursed in displeasure, his gaze hinting at anger; before he could react, that hand swiftly bent his thumb harshly!
With a crisp "crack" sound, pain shot through his finger, Lucius’s pupils tightened, biting down from the sudden pain.
He looked at his bent thumb, a fleeting expression of shock crossed his face, his demeanor wholly turned cold.
Malice roiled in his eyes, filled with murderous intent as he glared at the female, "You—"
However, the moment he met Wen Shu’s gaze, his furious words came to an abrupt halt.
Lucius’s tightened four fingers suddenly froze, his body jolted.
A look of bewilderment enveloped his eyes, his consciousness seemed to plunge into an endless ocean, unable to flee, only to drown within.
With his spirit completely submerged, Lucius’s brow relaxed, his body released its tension, a dark golden pattern slowly crawled down from his neck to his pale fingertips.
Seeing his transformed gaze, the eerie light in Wen Shu’s eyes slowly faded, staring at Lucius with unmasked disgust.
The thought of forming a psychic connection with such a pervert made her feel like she swallowed a fly!
"Let me go." She said coldly.
Yet oddly enough, Lucius did not immediately comply, instead, his eyes cleared for a moment before slowly placing her back on the ground.
Wen Shu’s eyes showed surprise, sensing a sense of urgency; these High-level Beasts indeed were strong, her Soul Capturing Technique couldn’t fully control him.
Thinking back, her success with Mious was likely only because he was gravely injured.
Wasting no time, Wen Shu quickly treated her injured ankle. Just as the white glow started shining in her palm, distant beastly howls echoed outside the tree cave, along with the sound of hurried footsteps approaching.
Kneeling on the ground, Wen Shu didn’t have time to think deeply, softly instructed, "Respond as usual, if it’s Blood Beasts, have them lead them away."
As soon as she finished speaking, Ku Jia dashed in, urgently saying, "Leader, they’re chasing us again!"
Lucius’s gaze was empty, yet his expression remained as usual, speaking warmly to issue orders, the anxious Ku Jia remained unaware and quickly turned to leave.
As soon as his figure disappeared, Wen Shu immediately stood up, coldly looking at Lucius, commanding, "You, take me away."
