CHAPTER 474: CHAPTER 472: THE GRANARY

Su Mo, still with a good-natured smile, said, "We’ve already troubled you for a night. There’s no need to stay any longer."

The other party didn’t directly answer her, but simply repeated, "Please."

"Then let’s go together," Lu Chen said, his phoenix eyes sweeping disdainfully over the person, who immediately felt the oppressive aura bearing down on him. He stepped aside, silently leading the way.

Inside the luxurious office, clothes were scattered all over the floor, and a pair of white bodies were entwined on the couch.

Upon entering, Su Mo was met with such a sensually decadent sight, the room filled with an ambiguous scent that made Lu Chen twist his brows in disgust. He covered the eyes of the person beside him, not wanting her to see the shamelessly exposed organs.

Plunged into darkness, Su Mo was indeed surprised. The man who had seemed so refined and aristocratic just the day before was now shamelessly entangled with a woman on a couch, the scene exceptionally heated.

"Miss Fang, your guests have arrived," the guide said, then retreated out of the room.

The office was spacious, yet it felt too cramped for so many people. Jin Han, aware of this, chose not to enter but instead leaned by the door. His gaze lingered on the partially covered enticing breasts on the couch, and licking his gold tooth, he said, "Call me if you need anything. I’ll be right outside."

Rong Yuan, who had indulged wildly all night, was unconcerned about being exposed. He casually draped clothes over the two of them, pulling the woman on top of him into a sitting position.

"Here you are," he said lazily, yawning, the attractive light gold of his eyes shimmering.

Lu Chen didn’t respond, just looked at him coldly, a heavy pressure emanating from him, which even lowered the office’s atmosphere a few notches.

The woman stood up, wrapping an outer robe around herself and tying it casually. She twirled a finger through her hair and said softly, "Don’t be angry. We just want to discuss a profitable deal with you."

Jianxiong, relegated to the backdrop, couldn’t resist blurting out gruffly, "We’re in a hurry. We won’t make any deals."

The woman ignored him, focusing on Lu Chen with a seductive gaze, awaiting his answer.

The man said icily, "What deal?"

"There is a huge granary in Ao City, but it’s surrounded by many zombies. If you join our team and help us secure it, how about we split the bounty fifty-fifty?"

Having heard this, Su Mo looked up at Lu Chen, whose face was expressionless. She saw the dark glint in his eyes and his lack of an immediate response and understood—he wanted to go.

"How much grain is there?" he asked.

"Fifty-fifty, enough to last a few years."

’Years’ was a long time. If they could obtain it, the refugee camp wouldn’t go hungry for a while, and the first batch of crops would be ready. It was a good opportunity. Even if, in the worst-case scenario, it was a trap, Su Mo was confident she could make these people feel the pain and yet swallow it down. With this thought, her eyes brightened a few degrees.

Lu Chen tilted his head down slightly, meeting her gaze. They both saw the answer in each other’s eyes.

He nodded, "It’s possible, but there’s a condition."

Rong Yuan played with a small golden ox in his hand, "What’s the condition?"

"A vehicle."

"Of course, after all, its destruction was unintentional on our part, and we should compensate you," he agreed readily, as if the Fourth Level superpower user who had been killed yesterday never even existed.

With curved eyes, Su Mo said from the side, "Then hurry and lead the way, Mr. Rong. Perhaps we can even have one last dinner together."

"Naturally."

The woman from the couch had at some point approached Rong Yuan, who slapped her buttocks, "Fang, I’ll leave it to you."

"Wait for my return."

These two kissed once more, lip to lip. Although the handsome man and beautiful woman were quite a sight, Su Mo silently turned her head away, feeling like she was watching a live-action version of an X-rated movie.

They left the office without encountering any intentional obstructions, and made their way out of the hotel unimpeded.

Jin Han approached them and asked in a subdued voice, "How did it go? What did you talk about inside?"

Su Mo explained, "Ao City has a large granary. We’re going to take a trip there, and split the profits fifty-fifty."

"Have you checked it out? It’s not a scam, is it?"

Shaking her head, Su Mo looked up at the towering European-style hotel, her smiling eyes revealing a hint of scheming, "Even if they did deceive us, it won’t be easy for them either."

"It’s a shame about the 50-minute protective barrier then. It definitely won’t be ready in time," Jin Han felt greatly aggrieved, thinking if only he had known, he wouldn’t have rushed to use that thing, only to find it of no use when needed.

Su Mo consoled, "It’s okay. After we get back, just come by often, but you’ll have to pay."

"I was waiting for you to say that."

After a brief conversation, an unmodified Audi sedan was driven up to them.

"Sorry everyone, we only have a limited number of modified cars, this is the only one left," said the person who brought the car, handing them the keys.

Lu Chen’s gaze darkened while Su Mo took the keys with a smile. She caressed the hood of the car and softly said, "Without any modifications, if it encounters anything sharp, it could shatter with just one scratch."

"They must want you to die on the road early," Jin Han tsked twice, his gaze becoming more vigilant.

"Who’s going to die is still unknown," Su Mo retorted, tossing the keys to Jianxiong and getting into the passenger seat.

Lu Chen’s eyebrows smoothed out when he heard her, a faint smile flickering in his eyes. That comment was quite on point.

Both groups got into their cars. In the luxurious office, the woman changed into a tight outfit and caressed Rong Yuan’s face.

He caught her hand and kissed the palm saying, "With the help of a Level 6 superpower user, taking down that troublesome granary shouldn’t be a problem. Ambush attack them under the zombie siege and retrieve the Crystal Stones. I’ll support you from the shadows."

"Then, what reward will you give me later?"

"Reward? How about not getting out of bed for seven days?"

This made the woman laugh heartily, but soon she composed herself and ran her nails across his face, "Level 6 is yours. I want two Level 5 Crystal Stones."

Rong Yuan’s expression froze for a second before he raised an eyebrow, "Okay, but this might cause discontent among the ranks below."

"Then just kill them off."

Su Mo and the others didn’t have to wait long, as five modified off-road vehicles joined from both front and back. The leader was that sexy woman, who waved at them,

"I’m Fang Qing. The trip will take roughly five hours. It’s going to be quite a distance to the outskirts of Ao City."

Su Mo leaned on the window and cheerily replied, "No problem, the farther the better."

Being on the outskirts, they could also make a convenient getaway while picking up supplies. Perfect.

The convoy set off from the hotel in a mighty parade, heading towards the border of Ao City.

The Audi might not hold up well to impacts, but the gauge showed a full tank of gas, which satisfied Jianxiong who was driving.
