Chapter 428: No Support Needed
CHAPTER 428: CHAPTER 428: NO SUPPORT NEEDED
"They can’t succeed."
"We must stop them immediately."
There were no weaklings who could represent the Military Academy, and so the battle inside the warship erupted once more, even more brutally than before.
Death was inevitable.
But a significant portion of the supplies was intercepted, yet many still got through, causing massive casualties among the students below.
After a brief rest, Lin Fu placed Purple Moon horizontally on her lap and listened to the complaints on the public channel, a cold smile on her face.
The faces of the others were also grim.
No one could accept that such a thing could happen in the powerful, highly disciplined Empire.
It was even more upsetting than the Democracy Alliance breaking through.
"Supplies are said to be dropped for us, but they are actually meant for prisoners," someone muttered softly.
Lin Fu suddenly stood up. "We have to get whatever supplies we can."
"Ji Xiu reminded her, "Nolan’s squad is already on it. We can’t move recklessly in the front lines."
Lin Fu sat down again. "Rest half an hour more and then continue the march. Also, send out a scouting team."
Her spiritual power had been used extensively and she had to rest now, or it would affect her ability to fight later.
"Yes."
Everyone performed their respective tasks, and the logistics team began arranging food. Helheim Star was a planet with very scarce resources; it was very difficult to obtain food from nature, only various marine fish from the dangerous Ice Sea.
But most of these fish were mutant beasts, extremely fierce and huge, hard to catch.
Each time they stopped to regroup, the logistics team could only search for plants and some ants living in the ice layer for food, or make them into dried rations. To survive in the wild for an extended period, nutrient solutions alone were insufficient.
"Hmm? Which direction is the Royal Starship Academy?" Lin Fu sharply looked to the left front of the team. "When did they get ahead of us?"
"Was it the battle that caused it?"
"It doesn’t seem like it."
Experienced students had already made their judgments.
Someone began shouting on the public channel: "Royal Starship Academy? Any students from the Royal Starship Academy, please respond."
Lin Fu also called out: "Xia Huangyu? Xia Huangyu?"
Unfortunately, despite the many calls, there was no response.
"Classmate Lin Fu, the light we saw earlier was produced by Xia Huangyu’s battle," someone shouted in the public channel.
In fact, others had already noticed, because Xia Huangyu wore a Mecha, his fiery red Mecha exceptionally bright in the night sky, coloring the entire sky red.
The battle was especially fierce, and could be sensed even from so far away.
"Has the scouting team come back?"
"Group A has returned."
"Report the situation at the Royal Starship Academy."
"Captain, a major incident occured at the Royal Starship Academy. Someone conspired with prisoners to ambush Xia Huangyu, and now Xia Huangyu is surrounded..." the voice of the person from scouting group A carried a hint of fear and difficulty.
"Xia Huangyu’s situation is very bad; should we provide support?"
When Lin Fu heard that Xia Huangyu was in a very bad state, her heart trembled, but she pursed her lips and decisively said, "Do not provide support. If Xia Huangyu’s Divine-level Mecha is not helping, all support would be sending them to their deaths. Come back!"
"Yes!"
The joyful voices of students from scouting group A came through the internal communication channel of Elbert.
Xia Huangyu was Principal Xia’s own grandson, and if Lin Fu had asked them to immediately provide support, they would have done so without question, but Lin Fu had refused, showing that she cared more about her own team members’ lives.
