CHAPTER 478: CHAPTER 478: WHO DO YOU CHOOSE TO GO WITH?
"The greatest honor for a knight is to offer a bouquet of flowers to the beautiful and noble Princess," Jon joked.
"Have you ever seen a Princess wearing a suppression ring around her neck?"
Jon felt a bit embarrassed, but he quickly covered it up and sincerely said, "I’m sorry for the offense towards Your Highness, but your combat abilities are too high. Without the suppression ring, you might have killed all of us on the spot."
"Exactly." Lin Fu did not hide her murderous intent.
"So, to coexist peacefully for a brief time, we had to make do," Jon said as he casually took a seat in front of Lin Fu, with a view that allowed him to see Therese playing and frolicking downstairs.
"Has Princess Therese not been troubling you lately?"
"She wouldn’t dare."
Lin Fu leaned lazily on the sofa.
"You have always been the person she feared the most," Jon spoke bluntly.
At that moment, downstairs, as Therese happened to look up in this direction and met Lin Fu’s gaze, she quickly looked away as if burned by fire. Ingrid’s niece noticed her movement and, thinking of the servant’s words about the room being inhabited by someone wearing a prisoner’s suppression ring, immediately showed a look of disdain.
"A prisoner lives there, I don’t know what my aunt was thinking, arranging such a nice room for a prisoner," the young girl criticized heavily. "She’s been hiding in her room all this time, probably out of a bit of shame, knowing it would be embarrassing to come out."
Theresa clenched her fists in the dark but did not speak, though her eyes were chilling.
"What’s wrong with you?" The young girl was quite frightened.
But Theresa had no more intention of staying; looking at the people in front of her, she was reminded of herself at Capital Star, equally foolish and ignorant.
On the balcony, Jon silently observed Lin Fu, feeling that something about her had changed, but he could not pinpoint what.
"Have you come to release me?" Lin Fu finally spoke, "I see this place is not your ultimate destination."
"Yes, I must say, abducting you was our biggest mistake. Without releasing you, we can’t leave the border to go where we want." As for where they wished to go, he definitely wouldn’t say a word.
Jon was certain that if Lin Fu had the slightest chance, she would not hesitate to kill them as revenge for her classmates.
"Lord Lin and Duke Fuxing are both on their way and will arrive soon, both coming for you, yet we have only you," Jon revealed with a wry smile. "Both men have very tough stances, and we are in quite a difficult position."
Lin Fu could not help but laugh, "Hahaha... Hearing you say that, I kind of don’t want to leave."
"Please, Your Highness, show us mercy," Jon begged humorously. "Neither Lord Lin nor Duke Fuxing is someone we can afford to mess with."
"So you’ve come to seek my opinion?"
Lin Fu didn’t intentionally make it difficult for him, allowing Jon to secretly breathe a sigh of relief. "Yes, the choice must be left to Your Highness. Wherever you want to go, we will hand you over to them."
Lin Fu hesitated.
She thought she would choose Fuxing without any hesitation; goodness knows she thought about him every second on Helheim Star. Now that he was finally coming to take her home, that urgency, excitement, and heartfelt emotion she felt was not as intense as before.
