CHAPTER 250: CHAPTER 213: THE TRAP TIGHTENS

Chu Mansion

Due to the incident involving Li Hong, Chu Yang found himself implicated. The Military District Hospital temporarily suspended all his duties, preserving his position and awaiting further notification from the hospital. The old Chu patriarch, capitalizing on past connections, extricated Chu Yang from Li Hong’s mess, with plans for him to return to work at the Military District Hospital after Li Hong’s case was settled.

These days, Chu Yang had nothing to do at the mansion, eating and sleeping, restless from boredom. It was a critical time, and he dared not act rashly against the grain, hanging out with his usual circle of dubious friends.

At that moment, someone rushed into the mansion and sprinted towards the interior. Many people who recognized him greeted him. He merely nodded perfunctorily and made his way to Chu Yang’s residence, running swiftly upon seeing Chu Yang enjoying the cool in the garden.

"Young Master, there’s been a development with the person you had me keep tabs on. Nurse Zhou collaborated with Chen Lian and drugged Miss Lan Tian. I followed them all the way, and Nurse Zhou took Miss Lan Tian to Fengyun Hotel. I’ve left someone there to watch. What would you have us do..."

"Damn that wretch, I’ll flay her skin."

Lately, Chu Yang had noticed something off about Zhou Yuwei, but he was in no position to protect himself, let alone her. Before leaving the hospital, he arranged for people to watch over her, incessantly cautioning them not to harm Lan Tian, yet that wretch ignored his words and had the audacity to target Lan Tian.

Zhou Yuwei repeatedly stated that if he wouldn’t act, she would take matters into her own hands to destroy Lan Tian. Ruining a woman and tarnishing her reputation couldn’t be easier.

"Wretch, wretch," Chu Yang paced restlessly in the garden. The old patriarch had ordered him not to go out. The mere thought of some man on top of Lan Tian sent waves of murderous intent through Chu Yang’s eyes. Not caring about anything else, he charged out.

"Young Master, the old patriarch said you can’t go out," a man’s voice called from behind.

...

Zhou Yuwei entered the hotel, picked up a key from the reception, and saw two people supporting a woman. The receptionist merely glanced a few extra times without further inquiry. With ease, Zhou Yuwei, accompanied by Lan Tian, took the elevator to the fifth floor. After a short walk, Zhou Yuwei stopped, opened one of the doors, and entered, throwing Lan Tian onto the couch.

Zhou Yuwei then collapsed onto the bed, gasping for air deeply and turned her head to gaze at Lan Tian, who was unconscious. Lan Tian, that wretch, was heavier than a pig and had exhausted her. Ma Juanjuan’s man carefully closed the door and stood behind the sofa, eyes full of longing as he looked at Zhou Yuwei – his gaze overflowing with tenderness and affection.

The sight nearly made Lan Tian vomit in disgust. To the uninitiated, the pair might appear to be lovers passionately in love – a cheating husband and a silver-dressed wife, a despicable couple!

Having finished her judgment, Lan Tian swept the room with her Divine Sense. The extent of Zhou Yuwei’s scheming against her left Lan Tian in wonder; she really hadn’t spared any expense. The suite Zhou Yuwei booked was luxurious: there was a living room right at the entrance, where the three of them were currently located. Opposite the couch was a TV, and on the left of the living room was the bedroom, with a bathroom across from it.

No sign of Chunhua in the bedroom made Lan Tian increasingly anxious internally. If Chunhua suffered any harm after such a delay, the regret would be insurmountable. Now that she was at the location, there was no need to play charades or beat around the bush – with both the perpetrator and accomplice present, it would be quicker to seize Zhou Yuwei directly and extract information.

With this in mind, Lan Tian opened her eyes, only to find a pair of hands reaching for her face. Her eyes narrowed.

Zhou Yuwei thought of the time when Lan Tian mocked her love for Mo Junhua, glaring at Lan Tian’s stunningly gorgeous face, venomous hatred surged in her eyes. She extended her claws towards Lan Tian’s face, but suddenly saw Lan Tian opened her eyes, those clear orbs cold as ice, looking at her as if she were looking at a dead person.

A chill shot up from her feet, Zhou Yuwei shivered, her hand as if paused by a stop button, suspended three centimeters from Lan Tian’s face, unable to lower any further.

"Ah... Ah Yong?"

Zhou Yuwei suddenly screamed. Hearing her scream, Ma Juanjuan’s man ran over to her and asked with concern, "Weiwei, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Ah Yong? That was Ma Juanjuan’s man’s name. Lan Tian slowly sat up, watching Ah Yong care for Zhou Yuwei with a look that was both smiling and not.

"She’s awake, she’s awake, Lan Tian has woken up." Zhou Yuwei hid behind Ah Yong, trembling, pointing at Lan Tian.

Lan Tian has woken up?

Ah Yong turned his head to see Lan Tian leisurely leaning against the sofa, her face full of mockery, watching the two of them. Caught red-handed cozying up to another woman behind his wife’s back, a flush of embarrassment crossed Ah Yong’s face, but he still didn’t let go of Zhou Yuwei.

"How did you wake up?" The dose of sedatives he administered was enough to knock out an ox, yet, within less than an hour, this woman woke up. Could it be she never ingested the sedatives?

"Is everyone here now?" Lan Tian asked, her gaze shifting towards Zhou Yuwei. "Zhou Yuwei, now you can tell me where Chunhua is. I’m not a patient person, and when I get impulsive, I can do anything. It’s going to hurt quite a bit if you end up with a broken arm or leg."

A cold light gathered in Ah Yong’s eyes, and a sadistic thought surfaced in his mind. Once the thought emerged, it was uncontrollable, and his ordinarily straightforward face slowly twisted. He could be ignored by everyone else in the military, but he wouldn’t be disregarded by a woman.

"You talk big. Soon we’ll see who will be the one with broken limbs. Don’t blame me for what’s happened. If anyone is to blame, it’s because you’re Mo Junhua’s woman." Letting go of Zhou Yuwei, Ah Yong stood up, walking towards Lan Tian while undoing his belt, "Weiwei, I accept your suggestion. For that pretty face, I’ll have a taste. What’s so special about Mo Junhua’s woman, what makes him so obsessed with you."

Lan Tian smirked, her smile enchanting yet wild, with not a trace of amusement in her eyes, but a cold edge shimmering deep within them, "I also want to try..."

Waving her hand, she sets up an Array in the room, "to try how strong a soldier’s body really is."

Ah Yong had successfully ignited Lan Tian’s fury. That darned jerk, not knowing how many people have used him like a worn-out cucumber, dared to covet her. If she didn’t beat him until his own parents couldn’t recognize him, she wouldn’t call herself Lan Tian.

A glint of triumphant conspiracy flashed in Zhou Yuwei’s eyes. She had previously instructed Ah Yong to sleep with that slut Lan Tian, who steadfastly refused. If Mo Junhua knew what had happened to the woman he treasured in his heart, sleeping with another man, what would he think? And if Chu Yang knew the woman he longed for, worshipped like a God, was actually promiscuous, would he go mad?

The more Zhou Yuwei thought, the more exhilarated she became, her eyes flickering with destructive insanity. They played with her emotions; she would destroy those they cared for, heh.

An overwhelming malice swept in, originating from behind Ah Yong, Lan Tian glanced at Zhou Yuwei and snickered, soon they would both know why the flowers are so red.
