CHAPTER 355: CHAPTER 309

"Grandpa knows. It’s late, go back to sleep. Remember to visit Hua Zi tomorrow since there’s no class." Mr. Mo went to sleep but suddenly remembered this and turned back to tell Lan Tian.

"Got it." Lan Tian twitched the corner of his mouth.

After returning to her room and meditating for a while, she activated the Array and took out a peach tree branch to cut into the materials she needed for drawing the talisman and engraving the Array, working until dawn.

After having breakfast, Lan Tian, carrying two parcels prepared by the Mo Junhua’s family which were filled with food like chili sauce, spiced dried meat, and spicy salted fish, walked out under Old Mr. Mo’s watchful eye.

After Lan Tian got into the car, she noticed the family chauffeur had been replaced by Zhang Shenjing, with Hua Kongque sitting in the back seat while Mr. Mo’s appointed driver sat in the passenger seat.

"Let’s go!" Lan Tian glanced at the two and closed her eyes to rest. After a while, the car hadn’t moved. She opened her eyes and looked at the person in front, wondering why they weren’t driving yet.

"Where to?"

Zhang Shenjing raised an eyebrow, and Lan Tian was taken aback. She thought he knew where to go, so why was he sitting in the driver’s seat if he didn’t know? She turned to look at the driver, who looked back at Lan Tian with an innocent face, his eyes conveying that he was coerced.

After Lan Tian gave the military academy’s address, Zhang Shenjing stepped on the gas, and the car shot out like the wind. Lan Tian was mentally prepared and didn’t feel anything, but the driver in front turned pale with fright, holding tightly to the chair.

Twisting and turning through the alleyways, they arrived at the gate of the military academy. As soon as the car stopped, the pushed-open driver’s door flew open, and the driver rushed to the roadside, vomiting so much that his face turned utterly bloodless.

"Little Lan, your grandpa’s appointed driver is too weak; you should get a replacement."

Before Lan Tian could say anything, Hua Kongque’s mouth twitched, "Not everyone’s a freak like you, driving a car like an airplane."

Lan Tian couldn’t even be bothered to roll her eyes, got out of the car with the parcels, and walked toward the entrance of the academy. Zhang Shenjing and Hua Kongque followed behind her.

"Little Lan, who are you here to see? Which of your family members is at the military academy?" Zhang Shenjing asked, either intentionally or genuinely unaware that her man—Mo Junhua—was here.

Hua Kongque took the parcels from Lan Tian, embodying the role of a guardian angel perfectly, keeping a stern face and silently following behind Lan Tian.

"Comrade, hello, I’m Mo Junhua’s family member, here for a visit. Here is my ID." Standing at the gate, Lan Tian spoke to the guard inside while handing over a photo of her marriage certificate.

The guard, comrade, took the ID Lan Tian handed over very politely, and after examining Lan Tian with a questioning look, he then scrutinized Hua Kongque beside her, as well as Zhang Shenjing next to Hua Kongque, confused about their relationship.

Upon opening the marriage photo for a careful inspection, she checked out Lan Tian and then the two men beside him, feeling utterly conflicted inside. She really wanted to ask what relation these two men had with the woman above, where would a woman come to check out men and bring along two guys who both looked fine and had a good aura about them, coming in so aggressively. They didn’t seem like they were here to check out the men; rather, they looked like they had come to flaunt their power.

For soldiers, a Military Wife is a group of people all soldiers respect. Therefore, he was very conflicted about whether or not to stop these two men. Looking at the other comrade in the photo, he felt a deep sympathy for him. After verifying the information and returning it to Lan Tian, he made a call to Mo Junhua’s dorm to inquire. After hanging up the phone, he asked Lan Tian to wait in the adjacent reception room, his gaze uncontrollably straying towards the reception room.

Lan Tian and the others went to the reception room to wait; Zhang Shenjing was extremely talkative.

"Ah, I get it now, Little Lan, are you here to see your man? I remember that he’s a soldier, right? But wasn’t he in Shanghai? When did he come to Beijing to attend military school? I heard that this military academy has very strict recruitment; the soldiers here are all genuinely skilled, the elite of the elite, kings among soldiers. Even with connections, it’s hard to get in."

......

Mo Junhua was reading in the library when he heard the announcement calling for certain relatives to visit their family members. He didn’t pay it any mind; after all, his girl would not come to see him. He thought he might as well wait for his monthly leave to go see her, that heartless girl.

Mo Junhua sighed silently, turned the page, and continued reading. Suddenly, the person reading beside him tugged at his arm. Mo Junhua swatted the hand away, but the soldier promptly yanked the book from Mo Junhua’s hands and shouted, "Hey, listen up! It sounds like you have relatives coming to see you on the broadcast, is it you?"

"What did you say?" Mo Junhua pushed the soldier onto the table as he tried to take back his book, his body jolting with realization. He slowly let go of the soldier’s hand. The military academy’s announcements were broadcast three times, and it had already been broadcast twice. There was only the last one left, and sure enough, the broadcast soon began again. Mo Junhua listened intently to the content, hearing that he had relatives visiting, the whole person stunned. Then, thinking of a possibility, he quickly gathered his books.

"Brother, sorry about this. Let’s have a match when I come back," and then he dashed towards the entrance of the military school. The soldier got up and rubbed his arm while howling at Mo Junhua’s retreating back, "You damn ungrateful wretch, what a heavy hand you have, no good deed goes unpunished!"

"Mo Junhua, why the rush? Is it because your wife has come? Haha," the others who were reading with him teased.

"Just keep reading, guys, I need to step out for a bit," Mo Junhua called back, not forgetting to turn his head as he ran a distance away.

"Go, go, go, let’s also go take a look. It’s the first time we see that kid in such a hurry. It must be a real beauty, huhuhu." Some started instigating, and a group of them indeed followed.

Mo Junhua rushed to the military school’s entrance, and seeing that no one was there, he immediately turned towards the reception room. The reception room door was not closed, and as Mo Junhua charged in, he saw the person he had been longing for and embraced her, "You little thing!"

The guard outside the door peered in quietly and saw the two longing to embrace each other inside. He returned to his post, his face blushing.

Lan Tian struggled a few times. The more she struggled, the tighter Mo Junhua held her. Since everything that should or shouldn’t have been done has been done, she might as well not struggle and let Mo Junhua hold her.

"Hey, Mo Junhua, that’s enough, let go, are you trying to squeeze me to death?" Lan Tian waited a while and Mo Junhua didn’t loosen his hold, so she grabbed his clothes on his back and patted them hard. Seeing it had no effect, she touched Mo Junhua’s waist and pinched a piece of flesh, twisting it hard.

Zhang Shenjing and Hua Kongque only saw a figure rush in, and then Lan Tian was embraced by someone. Zhang Shenjing and Hua Kongque were about to rush over to rescue Lan Tian, but halfway there, Hua Kongque recognized the face of Mo Junhua, finding him somehow familiar. After thinking for a moment, he remembered, this soldier was none other than the one from the train, Lan Tian’s man. He promptly pulled Zhang Shenjing, who was charging forward, to sit down.

"What are you stopping me for? Didn’t you see Little Lan being taken advantage of?" Zhang Shenjing turned back and admonished Hua Kongque.
