The Cursed Triplet Alphas' Fated Mate
Chapter 70: Assholes
CHAPTER 70: 70: ASSHOLES
Angelo
"We’ll not consummate our marriage with you three." I announced, shortly after sending for our betrothed to be summoned. It was funny that even after we apparently just got married today, I still see them as our betrothed and nothing more.
I didn’t know what they had expected, but they all looked shocked as hell right now, which made me resist the urge to roll my eyes... because, couldn’t they have been able to tell this from time we never intended to get married to them, much less taking this step with them.
"What? But why?" Blair was the first to cry out, speaking like she was about to faint. Her eyes panned towards Damon, and when she crossed the room towards him, he had a hard expression on which she already seemed to be used to.
"But why, Damon? I thought since after we got married, you, myself and my son would become a happy family, and that we’d be together forever." She cried out against Damon’s arm, clutching it against her chest. The sight was almost pitiful, cause Damon, the unfazed bastard, shook her away like she was an annoying pest, then he scowled down at her as he spoke.
"Don’t get on my nerves right now, Blair. I’m not in the mood."
Not getting the memo, she got close to him again. "But Damon..."
"Stop being delusional for once, Blair. I never wanted you for a second, a sham marriage won’t make that change overnight." He snapped and she almost looked like she was about to cry right now.
I was pulled back to the very present by my betrothed standing right before me right now, her arms folded and the tiara on her head catching the light, it’s one that matched the one presently on the other two women present in here right now.
We had all just been crowned kings and lunas, but before we all had to retire for the night, we thought it would be best to clear the air first so our betrothed won’t get the wrong idea.
"You’ll really not be consummating the marriage?" She asked, frowning at me and when I nodded, she looked shocked and angry at the same time.
"W- why?! And why did you get married to me if you knew you had no intention of doing this?" She yelled and I rolled my eyes, already starting to get a headache.
"Cause we clearly had no other choice. That’s the only reason."
When her face crumbled, I snorted and stepped closer to her. "Wait, surely you didn’t think I married you cause I now want you? You know that can’t ever happen, except in your dreams." I laughed at the end of my sentence and she clutched her dress with trembling hands, clearly enraged right now.
"Bastard," she gritted out while I laughed again.
"W- what about an heir? I thought that’s what you’ll all wanna have right after the marriage?" Gina spoke this time, standing before Landon as she asked that question. Landon had his hands In his pockets as he lazily shrugged his shoulders.
"You don’t worry your head off concerning something that doesn’t concern you, okay?" He cooed almost condescendingly and she bristled with anger.
"B- but it does concern me, Landon! We’re married now, have you forgotten?!" She cried out and Landon snorted out a laugh.
"Believe me, I wish I could, but your annoying voice is making that hard for me too."
Gina looked like she wished she could murder Landon right now, her expression mirroring the same one on the rest of the two women’s faces.
"Listen, girls." I called and they all turned to face me just as I continued. "This marriage, which took place today... it’s nothing but one of convenience. It’s not real in any way, so don’t treat it as one. Don’t expect anything that goes down in real marriages to go down in these marriages of ours."
I explained and they all looked shocked and enraged just as I continued. "We’ll not start eating together, or hanging out. You’ll continue to respect yourselves, and in turn, you’ll play roles of luna, you’ll accompany us in public as our mates, but that’s where it ends of course. Once indoors, we go back to how things normally are between us." I explained and they all exchanged glances, then Blair was speaking first.
"I- I don’t understand, we weren’t told it was gonna be a marriage of convenience! We thought it was gonna be real!" She cried out and Damon snorted behind her.
"Delusional as usual," he drawled and her face darkened with anger.
"So, do you all understand? I don’t want us to go over this conversation twice." Landon sighed, still looking like he’d rather be anywhere else but here right now, and I was sure I and Landon shared in that urge.
"Of course we don’t! I- if this is how the marriage would be, then it was pointless!" Gina cried out, sounding appalled.
"So are you all saying you’d rather lose these luna titles?" I asked, knowing that’s their greatest desires would come true. Now they all look conflicted as expected, making me snort as I exchanged a look with my brothers.
My new bride was the one to speak this time. "I- I’m not pleased by this. This is an insult to me, that someone of my caliber is gonna stick in a marriage of convenience. You have to change your mind!" She snapped at me but I found myself rolling my eyes. It’s cute that she genuinely thinks that’s gonna make me have a change of heart right now.
"What’s never happening." I told her calmly and she bristled.
"And you’ll keep fucking that Lyla bitch right? You all will, as usual!" She gritted out and I hummed.
"Of course. You’re all free to have fuck buddies as well, it’s up to you." I offered and she seemed even more displeased.
"I’ll go to your father about this! Let’s see what you all say after that!" She gritted out. I folded my arms as I regarded her for a bit before speaking.
"you’re free to do that, but remember that we’re not kings and have more control in the pack now. And should you do that, you can of course kiss your Luna position goodbye." As I spoke, her eyes widened and she didn’t move an inch like she clearly intended to do. When I arched a brow at her, she glowered at me but remained silent.
"Stop looking so sad, girls. Think of this marriage as a trade. We need brides, and you wanna be Lunas so badly. It’s a win win, don’t you think so?" Demon crooned this time and I stifled a laugh.
They didn’t respond, but the answer was clear across their faces.
In all honesty, I had been a little worried that this was gonna cause more drama, but surprisingly, it’s going way smoother than I expected. Which is a good thing, of course. Today was quite long, and I’d like to retire to bed as fast as I can after such a long day that today was.
"So, do you all agree?" I asked after a bit. The women still looked enraged and displeased, but they all reluctantly nodded after a bit.
"You may leave now." I informed them. They all clearly had more to say, but they ended up deciding to just leave, and I heaved a sigh of relief— till Gina stopped and turned around to speak.
"At the coronation, you all said you’ll give us your bites tonight, is that still gonna happen?" She asked and Landon barked out a laugh.
"Of course not."
When they all left, they made sure to slam the door hard, and I couldn’t even bring myself to be annoyed.
Perhaps my brothers and I are really assholes like everyone used to claim.
"I can’t believe those stupid triplets really think you’ll actually let Sue leave with them? That’s a load of bullshit." Landon barked out as he paced around, clearly worked up. I was worked up too, but in this situation, I felt like pacing would worsen mine. Damon was leaning against the wall, while I was sitting.
"Yeah, that’s really ridiculous." I bit out, just as my mind travelled to our exchange this afternoon. Those men hadn’t looked like they were ready to back down easily, but what actually irked and annoyed me was that Sue didn’t want them to back down. It was clear that she wanted to leave with that, and that was making me feel almost crazy with anger.
"Heard she had dinner with those fools." Damon offered and at once, I felt the anger grow more intense within me. Since the moment our gusts informed us about that, shortly after our new brides had been dismissed, we had all gotten annoyed, well, mostly Landon and myself. Damon was still his usual expressionless self, so we didn’t even know what he was thinking.
"Do you think we should send for Sue? We could have her punished for having dinner with those men without our punishment." Damon drawled and Landon frowned at him.
"Punishment? Seriously, doesn’t she hate us enough?" He gritted out after stopping his pacing to glare at Damon who shrugged.
"I didn’t say we were gonna throw her in a cell or hurt her physically. We could... ask her to suck our cocks or something."
