CHAPTER 330: THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE

"Grimm, you can stay here for the next 3 nights," I tell Grimm, and she looks at me in shock as we watch Eclipsya and Azazel sleeping. After I scolded Azazel, we returned to the room to continue the night.

Azazel seems to have understood that she made a mistake in doing that, so she became a little more contained. As a mother, I need to teach her that mistakes should be resolved not with excuses, but with actions.

Empty apologies are the same as nothing. Fortunately, she seems to have understood, and I hope this helps her since it’s Grimm who’s going to take care of her.

"Is this for real?" Grimm asks in disbelief.

"Yes, we’re married, and you’re also my wife. You can stay here for a few days so Azazel can get to know the place well," I say to her with a smile. Zephyra has also already gone to sleep.

"I’ll accept this little crumb of affection from you," she says with a small smile.

"You knew about the kiss. Why didn’t you stop it?" I say, sitting down in a chair and watching the two sleeping.

"I didn’t see the need for that. My adorable daughter was just getting along well with another girl. Why should I have stopped it?" she says, knowing how much it irritated me.

"Because she’s too young for that."

"So the fact that they’re half-sisters doesn’t bother you?" she asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Not too much." I’m not sure what to say about that. We’re a different race, so relationships between the two can’t really be called wrong if they want to. The problem is just the maturity for it.

"Great to know you approve..."

"I never said I approved," I interrupt her.

"All I said was that it doesn’t bother me, but I also don’t have direct approval. Their life is their own. If they want to be together when they’re adults, it’s not something I should interfere with as long as it doesn’t cause problems."

The biggest problem with incest ironically isn’t the parental relationship, but the fact that children born from such a relationship tend to come out deformed or with genetic diseases. However, my race deals with the genetic problem automatically.

So the only real barrier doesn’t exist for our race, and that’s precisely why I don’t see a real problem with the two deciding to be together.

"Besides, a kiss doesn’t mean anything," I tell Grimm.

"Azazel seems to just want attention. She didn’t kiss Eclipsya in a romantic way, and Eclipsya..." I think about Eclipsya’s gaze, the same needy look as Tsukuyomi.

"Well, Eclipsya is hard to say. She’s strangely mature for her age." She has a more serious air, still childish, but clearly with remarkable intelligence.

If she inherited Tsukuyomi’s neediness, there’s a chance she’ll decide to cling to Azazel until they form a bond stronger than friendship.

"You’re thinking a lot about the future," Grimm says, sitting on my lap.

"...The future is important, just as much as the present. I’m just being selective with my goals." I’m a very busy person, so I don’t have time to plan things right away in the present.

That’s why I plan things for the future, so I can better deal with what comes, even if I don’t know exactly what’s coming.

"You’ve become a lot wiser. Becoming an adult seems to have helped you," she says, hugging my neck while looking at me with a seductive smile.

"...I agree." Becoming an adult has given me greater emotional control, but it’s not a very significant change yet.

"Want to have another child?" she asks.

"No, enough with the children. Two is enough for now, and my next child certainly won’t be with you. There are other girls who also want this blessing, you know?"

"I imagine so," she says with a little laugh.

"Do you plan to have a child with each of your partners?"

"Yes, but only when there are no more troublesome threats on the planet," I agree with her.

"That’s great, but I’m curious, Pandora, why don’t you like Tsukuyomi but like me?"

"Believe it or not, I’m not sure? Tsukuyomi is beautiful, but... that’s just it. She doesn’t have anything that really attracts me in a girl. Being beautiful isn’t the only criterion for me to like someone, especially when I’m surrounded by beauties," I say, hugging Grimm’s waist.

"I see, so you’re just being selective?"

"Something like that."

’Although the Yandere Pandora showed interest in Tsukuyomi.’ She even asked for possession of Tsukuyomi to make her part of her "harem."

"Well, then what is it about me that attracts you?" Grimm asks with genuine curiosity.

"...Hate to admit it, but I think I like dangerous girls like you," I say, looking at her large breasts that seem to sway in front of me as if trying to hypnotize me.

"I see, that’s good then. How about we have... another hot night today?" she says with a smug smile.

"No," I say coldly, and she seems disappointed.

"You’re so stingy, just because you want to fuck that dragon girl." She looks at my future.

"Exactly. I’m reserving my beautiful body as private for the next few days for Zephyra alone. And stop looking at my future, it’s annoying."

"Hmm, good luck then. But if you want to try something spicier, you can invade my room anytime, day or night," she says with a perverted smile, rubbing herself on my lap.

"Don’t worry, I won’t invade your room. After all, why would I invade when I can just order you to crawl to me like a bitch?" I tease her, and her smile becomes dangerous.

"You really know how to ruin the mood, don’t you?" She sighs as she gets up from my lap.

"I’m going to the guest room. Have lovely nightmares tonight, Pandora," Grimm says, going to the door to leave.

"Thank you, I guess," I say, watching her leave as I’m left alone in the room with Azazel and Eclipsya sleeping in the bed.

I get up from the chair and lie down with the two, embracing them as they snuggle up to me with trust, as if I were a shield that could protect them from everything.

I look at the faces of the two. Azazel sleeps with her cute fangs sticking out, while Eclipsya has a more neutral expression, but clings more to the comfort and warmth coming from me and Azazel.

Both are so cute. I have to introduce them to my mother if I have time. That reminds me that I have an ability to enter the Abyss.

I’ve always avoided looking too closely at this ability, knowing something. The Abyss is dangerous. Entering it being weak is like a death sentence. With my current strength, it’s possible, but still dangerous.

To enter there, I still need time, preparation, and most importantly, I need to finish my things here. I’ll only be able to go to the Abyss when my revenge against the heroes is done.

Fortunately, it won’t be long. We’re getting closer and closer to the war. The humans have already started their preparations, and I’ve also started mine. My kingdom is almost ready for war.

All that’s left is to gather the troops we have throughout the demonic territory, which won’t be too difficult, since the leader of most of the territories is already here in the castle, serving me.

The only territory missing is Elena’s mother’s territory, but resolving with her will be easy. I just have to order her to send her troops to my kingdom, and if she doesn’t, I can easily go there and take them by force.

After all, everything in the demonic territory belongs to the Demon King, so her troops are mine and must obey me. I haven’t gathered the troops yet for a reason.

If I do that, I’ll have to take care of feeding and housing them, which is difficult considering the massive number of demons that would come from all the territories.

It’s better to only gather them when the war is practically about to start. Probably as soon as the humans start to move, that will be the perfect moment to gather the troops.

Extra training and high-ranking demons are already being sent to those parts of the territories to inform them how everything will be and organize everything.

The war will consist of a relatively simple plan. The demons will confront the humans head-on, using tactical advantage of territory and magic, led by my commanders.

And I’ll deal with the main problem, which are the heroes. After dealing with the heroes, I’ll command the demons to expel the invaders.

And after expelling the humans from my territory, we’ll start a heavy offensive, invading the human kingdoms en masse, of course, while maintaining troops in the demonic kingdom to protect against attacks from races like elves and dragons.

It’s a simple plan, but considering the sheer brute power, simple plans will be more efficient. It happens that a sophisticated plan is only good when it’s functional.

For demons, a simpler and more direct plan works better, considering things like the individual power of each one.

’I should sleep a bit. It’s been almost two months since I last lay in a bed to sleep.’ I usually work at night, looking at papers, signing reports, and approving or disapproving things.

So a peaceful moment like this, where I’m embracing my daughters, is a rare and pleasant rarity. I snuggle up more with them in my arms as I close my eyes to try to sleep.
